I'm not positive...but I think I heard that USC is going to go after Jeff Fisher.

I've heard the same thing. I think he's due a lot of money the last 2 years of his contract in Tennesse though. Seems like I heard something like that. |

USC would be smart to get a big name head coach to keep their recruiting momentum going. Fisher - - or even Del Rio (another USC grad) - - might be just the right pick. HOW-EVAH, the USC football coach has to work for Mike Garrett as the AD. Let's just say that Garrett's reputation as a "supervisor" is less than pristine and leave it at that. |

Re: Mora out in Seattle, Pete Carroll in
It's going to be amazing living in Seattle the next two years and watching Pete Carroll try to win with the Hawks.

Latest rumor is that Del Rio is the man- bringing Kennedy Pola along with him. Possibly Norm Chow returning too. I think we'd need to chase Orgeron to complete the staff. |
Re: Mora out in Seattle, Pete Carroll in
Ha, Ha, Ha...... and people say our team is a joke. Yeah we conducted interviews for a new HC while the job was still filled but our HC knew he was not returning. If he didn't he was an idiot.
Mora Jr. was told he would be kept the HC and 48 hrs later told he was fired after all the Carroll rumors. LOL. Talk about back stabbing. :) |

well there's no way Chow's coming back now... Lane Kiffen is his mortal enemy. LK bounces around faster than Snooki on Jersey Shore. |
Re: Mora out in Seattle, Pete Carroll in
lane kiffin is USC's new head coach
|
Re: Mora out in Seattle, Pete Carroll in
I think ESPN is reporting Lane Kiffin for USC job.
|
Re: Mora out in Seattle, Pete Carroll in
Lane Kiffin that just got the Tennesse job last year? Is his dad going with him? Hmmm, his dad's a damn good Defensive Coordinator.
|
Re: Mora out in Seattle, Pete Carroll in
Wonder if Lane will do the same trash talking in the Pac 10 that he did this past year in the SEC

And we're getting Coach Orgeron back... huge for recruiting. Our defense should be much improved... it's the offense i'm worried about. |
Re: Mora out in Seattle, Pete Carroll in
I'm sure that the folks in Knoxville are pleased that he ditched them for USC after only one year.
|
Re: Mora out in Seattle, Pete Carroll in
the people for Tennessee might be getting David Cutcliff the head coach from Duke, who was their OC a few years ago and QB coach for Peyton Manning back in the day. Manning credits him for the reason why he's as good as he is today.
|
Re: Mora out in Seattle, Pete Carroll in
What is the deal with Lane Kiffin? A promotion for a guy who's never had a good season.

I may have spoken too soon... Chow may be coming back also. This staff is sick if that's the case. |

Bruins can't catch a break can they? I think they were hoping with Carroll gone they might be able to target some of those SoCal recruits they'd been missing out on. But then, I'd be wary of being recruited by Kiffin. At this rate, he'll take over for Urban Meyer in Florida by spring and then head on over to Penn State and replace by Paterno by fall |

But the important thing is our overall staff. I hear they almost broke out the tear gas in Knoxville... the UT students were about to skin Kiffin while he was leaving! |

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO say it ain't so |
Re: Mora out in Seattle, Pete Carroll in
This week has been nuts Kiffin is gonna be SC's new coach! and Chow is apparently returning with him

He's never been anywhere long enough to matter or make any progress and when your a head coach its a good idea to surround you with a staff who knows what their doing!!.. If Lane can bring in Norm Chow...omg the other schools in the Pac 10 got a reward for a day with the question of the recruits being in the air then proceeded to open pandoras box! |
Re: Mora out in Seattle, Pete Carroll in
also even the so called experts Know that their will be no Multi season postseason ban for SC or a striping maybe a reduction in scholarships and visits and really with the talent level there..and its youth they can take that
I kind of think the Rooney Rule is a joke. I mean, if a team already has a candidate in mind, they're just going to grab the closest black person they can, throw an interview at them and then hire the the other person.
What was wrong with the NFL before the Rooney Rule was instated anyway?
I might be confusing names/teams, but I think it was Tomlin in Pittsburgh who was hired as a result of the Rooney Rule -- even though Pittsburgh had another candidate in mind (Wisenhunt, I believe). |
Re: Mora out in Seattle, Pete Carroll in
I don't know what's the big deal abouth Pete Carrol he was not a good NFL coach and his ship was going down at USC
