Yeah I'm 32 and after this thing started i thought I'd walk away from this a Who fan, buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut I'm not gonna.
Easy. I'm 31 and I'm not enjoying any part of this halftime show. I could give a who about The Who.
I second this, I turned to other channels. The lead singer of the Who looks like freaking Peter King.
BTW, speaking of commercials, what did everyone think of the family first commercial with Tebow and his mom? I can't believe anyone would be up in arms about that. NOW needs to shut up. That was a totally respectful, nice commercial. It didn't even mention the word "abortion." Sally Jenkins was right in her article- the commercial wasn't intolerant. The critics are.
Gator lover :). I didn't see the commercial but I know there were people saying it was a bit of a double standard to allow that add to air but not the gay dating site ad
I wonder if they changed things. Regardless, I don't care what side of the political spectrum you are in, and don't care much for political commercials in the SB. Why polarized one of the few things that actually brings people of different beliefs together?
It's really not political. More social than anything. It was in very good taste and wasn't polarizing in any way IMO. And I'm pro-choice for the most part, despite being conservative in many areas.

Better than one of those damn boy bands , it could be worse .

Re: Super Bowl XLIV Gameday Thread: Saints vs. Colts

I think its rediculous that for the past 5 years the half time show has been old washed up men who haven't released an album in like 20 years. I respect that era, but seriously?

Re: Super Bowl XLIV Gameday Thread: Saints vs. Colts
I was just saying that to my friends. I'd rather have Janet Jackson whipping out a boob anyday than watching some old grandpas (Yeah, they're a classic band, I understand that) playing the Super Bowl show.

Boy, CBS did everything to cater to the 30 and older crowd for the halftime show, didn't they?
i actually have it muted right now cause my fiancee is youtubeing the halftime show with areosmith britney and mary j, and it is actually a hell of a lot better than these old guys, how can they even think they still sound good?

I would agree that that's a double standard for sure.

It does have a lot of political implication, whether the commercial intends it or not. Personally, I didn't have a problem with the commercial...well what I saw (someone said there's another later on?)...I just have a problem with bringing a polarizing political topic to the SB period.

Well, looks like the halftime show is over.

This is the worst halftime show I can remeber in a while, and I'm a Who fan
Best thing is that circle around them that lights up

I wouldn't have watched one of the boy bands, so this was worse.

I think they have to be running out of washed up bands to play the half time show. Then again I said the same thing after last years half time show...Hopefully we can get someone under the age of 60 next year.

I watched the ad that the gay dating site was going to air and I could understand why CBS wouldn't allow it. It was a little over the top, I could see so many parents/the religious right pulling their hair out over it.

Well, you can turn anything political if you want to. Just ask Firstdown. :)

The word abortion wasn't even mentioned. Pam Tebow spent about 15 seconds telling her story about her pregnancy problems with Tebow, and then they showed their website link.

I mean, there are plenty of people against drinking. They could turn all the Bud Light ads into an issue. Or what about NOW groups speaking out about the GoDaddy ads? Didn't hear anything there.

IMO the Tebow ad is a non-issue
