I think the hockey goal gets me going more then any other type of score in sports. It's just so sudden and especially with the Caps it's greeted very well by the team. In football usually you have an idea of when a TD is coming so you can anticipate it, Soccer the goal is pretty big and even though they have "hockey type goals" you usually have a pretty good idea it's coming. Baseball also has that level of anticipation. Basketball is a scoring in bunches type sport. Hockey is the only sport it seems where so many scores come in a flash and when they happen you can't help but get excited.

It's not that hard. You just need to have a level of flexibility on par with a ballet dancer and a reaction time that pushes the limits of human nature.

I felt like the refs were over compenstating for missed calls. I mean it did seem like we had a lot. By the same token I'm pretty sure I would have seen more missed calls if the Caps were at home. The crowd really does a good job of giving you an idea when something MIGHT have occurred.

Thats fine. Honestly, the team I didn't want to play was the Habs. Hopefully we can get out clean tomorrow, and move on to the next target. Of the teams that made the playoffs in the east, the Habs were the ones who gave us the most trouble in the regular season. I say NEXT!

i just heard earlier that it wasn't confirmed and heard something along the lines of putting theo back in for confidence. imo keep green and theo off the ice once we get in the playoffs

Well I guess that just means you're more frustrated with his presence on offense, stuff like making long passes, dribbling the puck up ice, taking shots from the point, and I would say he hasn't done a lot of that. However over the last two games the defense has played much better then the first two games, and part of that has to be credited to Varly, but at the same time the defenders also deserve some of the credit.

Green btw is +3 over the course of the last two games compared to -1 during the first two.
