I was referring to what SS said:
Maclin carted off, fear that he tore his ACL
Torn ACL was a speculation, obviously it is not, it's a hyper-extended knee as you mentioned.

Smootsmack doesn't know anything. That's why Julius Peppers is currently a Skin. Pfft, Smootsmack. More like Smootwrong359.

However if it's as bad as it sounds then it might as well be a torn ACL if the injury is the six to nine months variety.

Torn ACL isn't ruled out yet. I'm just sayin'...
New York Giants WR Domenik Hixon will miss the 2010 season as the result of a torn right ACL.

Hixon suffered in the team's workout at the new Meadowlands stadium on Tuesday. Coach Tom Coughlin had initially said he was hopeful the injury was not serious. GM Jerry Reese had said on Sirius NFL Radio that the injury was a hyperextended knee.
When you hyper extend your knee, you are very likely to at least tear some cartilage if not some ligaments.

I think Maclin will miss most of the season. He was supposed to be their 2 this yr after a strong rookie campaign. Speaking of WR's.. SmootSmack have u heard anything else on Vincent Jackson?

Kind of. Though I still say that S.H.I.T has a much better focus on liberal arts. While John Hopkins has an excellent alternative new age treatment program.

What if Maclin's injury is serious and the Eagles go after Jackson?

Also, Hakeem Nicks also hyperextended his knee today

Funny I just watched that again like a week ago. Will Ferrel is the man, want to checkout his new cop movie with Marky Mark. I imagine that will be another Ferrel classic.

The Foxworth injury really hurts an already thin Balt. secondary. Their defense may take a step back this year.

Wow, NFC East WRs are dropping like flies (Dez Bryant, D. Jackson, Maclin and now Nicks). I hope this bug doesn't come to our camp.

Re: Notable Injuries Around the League

^ sometimes the bug just hits. Hell with our WR Corp it wouldn't shock me if it did. Old ass Galloway, MK (already hurt). Nicks says his injury isn't bad either. I think if we can't add V J somehow than we could really be hurting this year again at WR. Good thing is DMac is used to playing with bad WRs before Desean Jackson and TO came along

I don't know if the NFC East God's will count a possible roster cut as a worthy sacrifice. That or maybe we just did our part last year when Cooley broke his leg. Maybe the NFC East God's simply miss T.O. One things for sure, the God's work in mysterious ways.

Mario Manningham has a groin injury, so that makes the Giants' top 3 WRs out with injuries.

Then they'll still be without a WR for the start of the season.

Who would think we could have the top WR corp in the division...looking this way. I don' think Miles Austin will repeat his big numbers and Dez will not be a bust, but a problem child. Philly and NJ are just running out of healthy bodies.

Moss, Thomas, Galloway...looking good suddenly...then throw in two top TEs with McNabb throwing to them and an effective Shanahan running game...big passing numbers.

We could see a complete opposite of the last few years...instead of rarely scoring over 17 points, we may end up never scoring UNDER 17 points.

Lets hope the D can do their part, which I suspect they will.

Training camp is long enough where they can afford for Kelly to heal up. It also sends the opposite message that Shanahan is trying to send where if you're hurt then make sure you get healthy. No point in coming back early if you're just going to get hurt again.

True, but we're talking about a third year pro here. And I doubt that Shanny will 'Tayor Jacobs' Kelly, while others are busting their ass for a roster spot.

Wow. This has to be the most fearful time for GM's as players come back and get going, and suddenly a key piece, or pieces, of your off season prep are just gone due to injury.

Again, just early speculation. But word is it's actually a torn pectoral muscle. Which from what I understand is at least four months before you can play again with a torn pectoral muscle. Is there a doctor in the house who can confirm?

The broncos offered Betts a deal and he declined?
Is he nuts?
He should take any deal at this point....I know he could land with the Saints...lucky bastard.

White is on suspension for 4 games by the way...so this does not mean that Brian Westbrook is off the table for them IMO.

I guess Betts knows an offer will be coming from the Saints...otherwise, no way he'd turn down an offer unless he knew another was coming....can you say Gregg Williams?

Well that was a pointless trade for Seattle.

Wonder if he'll get suspended by the league for his recent admission to drug use though.

Second offense would be 4 games.

Its the curse cutting of Shanny. Their curse, our gain. And they drafted Tebow in the first round to make matters worse...
