Redskins storylines, week 3
Ah yes, this week we face the Rams. Such lowly opponents, but they always seemed to cause Jason Campbell trouble, as his record and recent benching indicates. Thankfully, we won't have to worry about that anymore.
Anyway, Jim Haslett's coming back St. Louis after an unimpressive stint as D-coordinator there. He also was present as interim head coach when we debacled the game to the Rams in 2008. Adam Carriker is also heading back to the team who gave birth to his NFL life. Needless to say, he didn't do much for his parent, and now is trying to stick it to them. Such a rebellious teen. Steve Spagnoulo. Thank god he's out of the division. Giants still searching for that 2008 glory. Also, who wants to bet that there will be a "9" and a "7" in the score? |
Re: Redskins storylines, week 3
24-6 Redskins.

Re: Redskins storylines, week 3
The Rams have always given our offensive line fits, more specifically. That's going all the way back to the 2008 game.
If Trent Williams is playing, I'm not worried about them. If he's not playing, it's probably going to be a crap offensive day. In which case, a good chance that either team has a '9' or '7' at the end. Hopefully in the Skins case, that's a '19'. Wouldn't count on it though. |
Re: Redskins storylines, week 3
Either way, I think our defense is going to hit Bradford early and often, and while we're probably going to give away some blitzes too soon, it's going to be a good day for the defense.

Re: Redskins storylines, week 3
38-7 Redskins

Anyway it is a new year and I can see us winning by a wide margin of victory. |

So Sir how long are you going to rock that losers avatar?

I feel like Haslett might take some time this Sunday against an inferior offense to experiment with his defense, given how the defense has fared the last few weeks. By experiment I mean tweak, not completely change up his scheme. Even though statistically the redskins are ranked somewhere really low, I would actually call our defense top 10 right now. We've just had to face some offensive powerhouses thus far. I'd love to absolutely shut the rams down. |

This will be the best chance he has for that. Since he knows their players on both sides of the ball and all their strengths. Carriker gives us the same info with out as much detail so I say we are in prime position to put an a$$ whipping on them. |
Re: It's F'ing Rams week!
This week has me concerned as it has the makings of a typical Skins letdown game. If we win I will credit that to Shanahan and the coaching staff.
This team still has too many guys who think they are better than they are and tend to take opponents like the Rams too lightly. It will be up to the coaches to win this one because I do think that the Skins will be facing a team for the first time this season that has less talent on paper than them... |
Re: Redskins storylines, week 3
The real story line here is thats its another late game which is great for summer. I have until 4pm to go out in the boat and play then come in and watch the skins and cook up some wings. Life is Good.

That went away fast didn't it. It was like the time I walked in on my Grandmother changing, I never recuperated. |

Yeah... giving up 906 yards in two straight weeks to any team(s) doesn't bring us close to being a top 10 defense. Statistically we should be at the bottom (or close) but given the quality of opponents, we're probably middle of the pack. I think this game against the Rams is going to reveal a lot of things about the legitimacy of this defense. |

Kind of what I was thinking. I know he hasn't had a big impact so far, but maybe a little extra adrenaline can help him make a few plays. Don't forget this is where London Fletcher started his career as well. Maybe these guys make some plays on Sunday. |

I imagine some of you will recognize a certain name here. ^ #135: Washington → St. Louis (PD). Washington traded this selection and a seventh-round selection (211th overall; St. Louis selected Marquis Johnson) to St. Louis for defensive lineman Adam Carriker, a fifth-round selection acquired from Philadelphia (163rd overall; traded to Miami, who selected Reshad Jones), and a seventh-round selection (208th overall; traded to New England, who selected Thomas Welch).[source 47] ^ #135: St. Louis → Atlanta (D). St. Louis traded this selection it acquired from Washington to Atlanta for a fifth-round selection (149th overall; St. Louis drafted Hall Lewis) and a sixth-round selection (189th overall; St. Louis selected Eugene Sims).[source 48] |
Re: It's F'ing Rams week!
Well the Rams are an upstart. Just need to get it together. Hopefully for Bradford's sake, they can!
|
Re: It's F'ing Rams week!
I'm pretty sure it's Hall Davis, not Hall Lewis.

Re: It's F'ing Rams week!
Time for the Big Man to welcome that fragile bitch Bradford to the NFL!

Re: It's F'ing Rams week!
Instead of watching that Rams game, I should have just stuck to boning sheep.
