To be honest I feel like Troy isnt paying as much attention during games as he should. After his comment about Haynesworth not being effective against the Eagles, he definitely dropped a few notches in my book.

Still one of the best commentators though so yeah dumb thread lol

Give me Troy Aikman doing commentary over somebody like Bill Maas (even though he's been fired for a few years now) or Brian Baldinger any day of the week. Especially when Maas was commentating. I had to put him on mute several times during a game.

I honestly do not even blame Aikmen, this would be the equivalent of asking Carl Yazscremski to call a game against the Yankees and asking him to be unbiased. It is not going to happen. It is on FOX to make this decision.
On the other hand I am a huge Notre Dame fan and Brent Musburger used to call alot of those games and he was anti Notre Dame just as bad as Aikmen is anti Redskins. It drove me NUTS at the time, but now that he doesn't call those games I think I miss it...or it could be that ND is having a rough couple of years.

How is Aikman anti-Redskins exactly?? He gushes over Portis any chance he gets, and he's pretty fair and balanced. He calls our games the same as he calls any others.

I agree he loves Portis (what Qb wouldn't love one of the best pass blocking Rbs of all time?) but he does not call the games the same way for the skins as he does for others. Just yesterday he wanted them to test Hall deep and then Hall comes up with the Int he doesn't say ok guess I was wrong, that's a nice job or even bring it up. How many times did he bring up in the pregame that Washington had a last ranked Defense, but he didnt bring up the fact we have played 4 VERY good offenses or that we dont give up a ton of points.

If he was truly anti-Redskins, why would he gush about any or our guys??

As for the rest of your take it's called doing his job as an analyst. Watch some more non-Skins games that he does, and take off the Redskins blinders, then report back.

That game should never be replayed. EVER. It was a horrendous affair. Glad we won it. Time to tuck it away as a conference win and move on.

I've always thought Aikman did a pretty good job and often goes out of his way to compliment the Skins (maybe to show he isn't biased).

Yesterday, on the other hand, he didn't have a good day. We all have bad days. I understood what he was saying though.

Why didn't the Bears try a double move on D Hall when he was jumping it all day? Good question. Most likely b/c their oline is horrible but you know why not try?

He made a few boneheaded comments yesterday..maybe he just had an off day.

^ I don't know... if we keep getting Aikman on other games... then the thread was well worth it's weight in gold. I don't mind him as a commentator, I just don't want to have to put up with him during a Redskins game. Give me anyone.... Philli fan Mitchell will do but not Aikman. Atleast Mitchell was a Skin at one point.

I'll admit it probably could have gone in the oppinion room vs. the locker room.

I can deal with spiders but black widows, although cool looking, just freak me out.

Bee's and Wasps I'll avoid at all costs. I guess it has something to do with the fact they get angry so easily and their hard to kill flying all around. Then there's the fact after one sting the rest of their homies decide to gang up. It's never a fair fight with them. I guess it makes up for people spraying their nests at night when their all tucked in. lol..

I didn't mind the thread at all -- I was a little taken aback by the spelling and could tell you were not all there at the other end but I agreed with the principle of the thread. Aikman is a moron and his statement on DHall's excessive celebration has been commented on far and wide, on this forum and by professional journalists and writers as well.

And a warning, since the Skins are in the NFC and FOX does NFC games, and Aikman is their top analyst usually assigned to the top games of the week, chances are we're going to see him a few more times. Get used to it.

Yeah I don't see why apparantly quite a few Skins fans hate the guy. I know most of us, including me, didn't agree with him on his DeAngelo Hall celebration penalty rant but he's still a booth analyst. If you think he's bad now wait until Joe Buck is back in the booth with him, then he'll sound like a godsend.
