We get another big win come Monday night. I am excited to see the team play after the bye week. The coaches and players had a chance to evaluate the first half and what needs to be done to get better.

Having the bye week right in the middle of the season is a real advantage to a new team. Should be an exciting second half of the year!

The Skins have a bad history of losing when we knock out an opposing qb, the dallas game from long ago and pitt last year are just two examples. The fact we won when Kolb came in (who has had some good games mind you) seems to say we stepped up and won that game. This game is a new show though and everyone needs to step up and be ready to make the necessary plays. Personally, I think the Skins will.

On a different note, I love how the schedule makers set things up this year. It seems like every week is going to get bigger and more important and with so many division games in the last 8 weeks the teams have every opportunity to step up and take control of their own fortune.

Or Kolb was simply not up to game speed yet, which is the much more explanation. He had DeSean Jackson wide open for a play, but he already decided to go for the short play.

McNabb is the key in this game. If he plays smart, effective football, which depends heavily on the o-line, rushing attack and overall health of Clinton Portis, I see us winning.

My assumption is the defense will come out flying but ultimately give up some points to a flying Eagles offense. They'll score around 20 points...it's up to McNabb to outscore them :)

Given that we were up 14-0 when Vick went out, then either Vick also was "not up to game speed yet" or your premise is flawed.

Possible, but beyond unlikely that 8-8 would be good enough. 9-7 is realistic, if you get enough help (Bucs finish ahead of the Saints, for example).

O right, getting dinked and dunked to death was the normal thing about the defense because they always got beat by it. That said, if you already have forgotten Aikman repeating again and again how Kolb was not seeing the damn field, I hope you won't suffer total memory loss when you age.

Vick was getting warmed up when he got sandwiched.

Besides, they have film on Haslett's first strategy, so they'll find the exploits and Vick will take advantage of it.

Anyone can cherry pick plays from every damn game in the league, it's not like this stuff is exclusive to the Skins. Drops, fumbles, picks, injuries, etc. All part of the game. But yeah, it's keeping it real. Please.

A win is a win. But what also sucks is when we can barely score a TD because of an average QB and a average coaching staff and we play against a team or teams that do everything under the sun to hand us the game or our defense is handed or force multiple turnovers and we only win by 1 point... you'll see "idiots" say how much we dominated our opponent or we looked good. If Vick stays in the entire game the Eagles will dominate us. They would have beat us the first time had he done so. That is a fact.

Now when they destroy us Monday night, what we will see is a bunch of Koolaid drinkers saying " Well if we had CP, or if we has Torain, or if we had Banks, and so on.

I understand football is a game of variables. Injuries, luck, wind, ect. But the Skins need to prove they are good enough to win when these elements are not in place. They have only shown me that one time this season.

A win is not a win. Teams that go all the way win with authority. We beat the Eagles by 1 point without their starting QB, what makes anyone think we will beat them if he stays in.

If the Eagles do beat us, I for one won't say I told you so, because I already have.

Thats as real as it gets.

This is probably the biggest game of the year in regards of playoff hopes, if we come out and lay an egg in this one I am starting to look at our draft position for 2011.

Because Vick has shown that he scores in every game and almost every quarter of football he plays. It's just a mathematical certainty. It took the Eagles 1 quarter to effectively figure out and shut down our Offense and kept us to 3 points for the remainder 3 quarters of the game. While they managed to creep back up with a cold and unprepared Kolb.

Vick would have played a better whole game than Kolb, in fact his passer rating was much higher than Kolbs. Actually Vick was very close to scoring when he got hurt. The Eagles did not get that close into our red zone the remainder of the game without Vick.

Obviously when I say it is a fact, that is a statistical and historical statement. But one that is and will be proved this coming week.

As a 40 year fan, I have had the luxury of sitting back and knowing the Skins would win. After the 80's and early 90's, Im the guy who went through the rest of my life defending and making excuses for the Skins. I don't do that anymore, but for those who do, I understand, I was there.

Anything can happen in the NFL. We do have a chance to beat the Eagles. But if Vick stays in, we won't. IMO.

So, in the hypothetical, if the Skins do beat the Eagles Monday Night, and limit Vick's effectiveness, would you rescind the statement and say that we won the first game? Or does that game stay as a "factual loss, real win" for you regardless of Monday night's game.

For me, I say we won that game and would have won if Vick stayed in. For whatever reason, we have sometimes struggled when a competent backup comes in. Now if the Eagles somehow blow us out, I still will claim we won (and would have won) that first game, but will give Vick and the Eagles credit in this game.

You are right, the Giants have been known for that. However I think this year is different. The Giants seem to be firing on all cylinders. There is absolutely NO WAY Dallas beats the Giants. If they do win, how about I go streaking through the steets of Philly in nothing but Redskins body paint cursing Andy Reid and their whole lot and see how long I last?? If we beat the Eagles with no BS. Not only will I rescind but will be recaptured as a fan with hope that we can finally compete. Don't get me wrong, I want us to win. I want to be wrong. I am as much a fan now as I was in the 80's.

44ever I hear you man, I have been a fan for a long time. This team is very frustrating to cheer for, it has been a long 20 years since the last Super Bowl.

And never mine winning Super Bowls I am just talking about fun competitive football to watch. Redskins football is just ugly football to watch.

Another new rule proposal: losses will count double, but only against the Skins :cheeky-sm
