What if your blocking someone incited a road rager who then swerves to get around you and hits another car? It's possible your actions could lead to a dangerous situation.
I have to agree with Matty. S10's actions are making him a distracted driver. I get really upset when I see folks texting and driving so much so I would "look" for them and then blow my horn. My wife pointed out you are just as distracted as them by trying to police them vs. just paying attention to your own driving. I agreed with her and now I just go about my way and stay alert to my own driving. Doing anything other then watching the road make you a distracted driver. S10 what you are doing makes you distracted driver. You are looking for speeders then you are trying to slow them down. Your adrenaline is going and you are focused on slowing them down vs. giving 100% of your attention to your own driving. Been there with done that I know it is dangerous. |

Apparently 23 times is not enough to take your licenses away. Re: Coroner: Ryan Dunn Died Violent Death
And for the record I've never encountered that situation, and I've been Schneed the Road Vigilante for quite some time.
But getting back to the crux of the discussion, at some level, everyone does something at some point in their lives that somehow endangers others. I left the baby gate unsecured one time and my daughter almost took a header down the stairs. I block the left lane while driving which I guess could THEORETICALLY magnify the probability of a road rage incident. Some women put on make-up in the car when running late, on occasion. etc. etc. etc. Are any of these things good? No. But the risk Ryan Dunn represented to other drivers was so great that in my mind it outweighed whatever positives he brought to the table in his life. Will his family see it that way? Of course not, because they loved him and felt that emotional connection. But strip away the emotions, and the West Chester area is better off. |

He had his license suspended several times and was still caught driving recklessly. That's the part that's so egregious. There was no regard for the legal system, let alone regard for trying to do the right thing. |

Look at at my link above he 23 citations, how often was he driving dangerously to be caught 23 times! |

Been there with done that I know it is dangerous.
I'm not really looking for anybody, and I certainly don't feel any adrenaline. I simply camp out in the left lane when people are trying to speed, and I keep my speed constant at 75. I don't seek them out and swerve in front of them, it's not some big battle, it's much more of a passive thing. I simply drive 75 in the left lane and those who don't like it can shove it. But this is getting away from the crux of the argument. I'll grant you that yes I suppose there's the remote possibility that I could anger someone, thus nominally magnifying the probability that an accident occurs. While I've never encountered such a thing, rather than tempting fate, maybe I'll rethink doing that and instead just get out of the way. But Ryan Dunn never learned from any mistake. He didn't care, he just kept doing it. It made him a real and significant threat on the roads. Now that he's gone, it's safer for everyone. |

Sounds like there will be a salary/cash cap under this new CBA. If I get back to working on those numbers instead of getting up in arms about Ryan Dunn, it's just better for everybody! |

I came back to this thread an hour or so later and it's three more pages deep lol.
Schneed, I know you truly feel that way. I am not saying you don't. But I am saying you like to push buttons too. You knew the mainstream member's opinion would be different than yours and you would get replies. I am kind of the same way too. |

Wow the first time I may actually join the Westboro group for a public demonstration.

camp out? so you intentionally sit in the left lane so people behind you have to try and go around you? You probably poses a greater threat to others on the roadway than a driver with a .09 bac doing the speed limit in the right lane. I dont like going 75 either, but if i got a long line of cars behind me and im going the same speed as the lane to my right, i get over. your quite they asshole to impose your set of beliefs on others, at their peril and all the other cars around you. |

Hey, Schneed, what are you thoughts on motorcycles again? May as well get all of "your" topics in here...
(Please don't...) :D |
Re: Coroner: Ryan Dunn Died Violent Death
Schneed's personal hell. He's heading home after hanging out at a friend's house watching the game...and he sees some girl weaving in and out of traffic on a motorcycle. He tries to block her but she gets by. So he follows her and when she pulls into a gas station he's right behind her. She gets off her bike and takes her helmet off. As Schneed approaches her he can smell traces of alcohol. She turns around...and it's Hess!
But can you mount any rational argument that the world is not better off?
Sure you can be emotionally appalled at the thought, but can you refute the logic? Your moral reaction to these statements really doesn't get you anywhere. I'm personally not interested in how anybody feels about Ryan Dunn, nor am I interested in how anybody feels about my reaction to Ryan Dunn's death. Feelings don't interest me, I just like to be right. And I am here. So don't bother with the moral high horse nonsense because nobody cares, convince me that it's wrong to say the road is safer with Ryan Dunn dead.
First of all, the only one on a high horse here is you (shocker). Secondly, if you don't care what anyone thinks about your feelings towards Ryan Dunn and his death, why do you post said feelings and react to people's reactions? Third, I'm not here to convince you of anything. I don't like that people are happy about his death, but that's on them. You're playing the "I'm the asshole for the sake of being the asshole" card (again, shocker), and I don't really care for it. It's whatever. |

I'm in the insurance business and when I first started out I did allot of business with used car lots writing ins for people so they could buy the car. I saw driving records that took pages to print out and at the end it would say valid lic. I had one that took 24 pages to print out but His lic had jsu been revoked. How he even still had a lic I don't understand. So the drivning record thing is not reserved for the rich. |
Re: Coroner: Ryan Dunn Died Violent Death
When I worked in no-fault I saw tons of horrible driving records where you wondered how they could still be on the road, they get raped when it comes to premiums so I guess that's why they're still driving.

So ultimately, I'm not posting any feelings. I'm posting thoughts. Which is what one does on a thoughtful discussion board. If I want to sit around and sing kum ba yah about everyone's feelings, I'll attend my wife's wine club. I'm also not being an asshole for its own sake. I'm just being right. If that makes me an asshole then OK, I never really cared about that label. |

The one that was 24 pages I thought I may have hit print several times. Its like the guy got a ticket evertime he looked at a car. It was so bad the computer could not even rate the policy. |
