I think a guy like Tom Brady has proven being smart and accurate is just as effective or more than being fast and athletic.. It takes both though for most cases. Cam is just a ridiculous talent

They do have the talent. No idea where you get that notion from.

Watching Claussen last year it was just obvious he does not belong in the NFL, period.

I disagree I think he Needs to sit a year or two and learn and I think he can eventually be a starting caliber QB, not a superstar but a quality starter.

We agree to disagree. We will see after he sits a couple years and his rookie two year deal is up. I hope Shannahan don't get Jimmy. Besides, that was the whole point in picking Claussen. He was supposed to be NFL ready pro-style offense etc etc. He wasn't gonna be a project like Tebow or Cam. Tebow and Cam have NFL talent and Jimmy does not in my opinion. What are Jimmy's college football accomplishments compared to Tebow and Cam?

Yeah, Clausen may not be a world-beater, but he was in a very situation last year.

to explain myself clearly.

id rather be jimmys penis who is curreently sinking its self back n forth into a models pussy at 2: 58 am on a sunday morning versus cams penis which is surely asleep in a pair of fitted abercrombie & fitch tighted shorts waiting for his sunday game.

WOW fellas! wow! nones ya cud post between my drunk "**** i wish i didnt watch contagion" post and the my "me waking up a few hours earlier than i need to" post cuz i woke up on my couch in the basement post? really?

anyways score one for affordable black n white cookies today my bng friends. black n white in the sense that this white part cookie is heading into amish country to see my black cookie ladies best friend (a very large very awesomely ravened tatooed white dude) marry his black cookie lady to be.

to relate this back to qbs, it wasnt more than 10-20 years ago that it was accepted talk that black qbs werent "smart enough", hell man, if you read the book "the help" or lived in the early 60's, it wasnt more than 50-60 yrs ago black people were still segregated.

not a fan of cam but love his early sucess. god knows if he started poorly, the subservant yet steroetypically rooted "i knew it" doubts would undoubtably be placed upon him prematurely.

man, just wish someone would have posted between me being all drunk last night and me waking up trying not to wake up drunk...bastards.

I hope Cam Newton takes the world by storm and wins a Super Bowl(just one, and not if it hurts us). Then we can forget about Donovan McNabb trying to spin his "pretty-goodness" as greatness and appreciate REAL greatness.

backup qb penis all day every day except after a victory sunday. starting qb penis has to be in the film room, training facility and asleep early every single night . . backup qb penis is doing disco grade blow off silicon stretched skin titties 6 nights a week.

this is no where near thread discussion, its a dead end cultasac. active qb = inactive penis.

unless you mean starting qb gets sex with his "wife" meaning same pussy every time, in which case cam probably closes his eyes every night wondering what different ho jimmy is jammin it to at that same second. . why are we even discussin this? im actually getting mad about this

Tebow is all over the nfl news, but Cam played a near flawless game. A few of those throws to smith were perfect & Smith made great catches in traffic on the sideline when coverage was there.

In my case, my support for him is out of spite towards another player, not because I like him all that much since I don't really care about him otherwise.

It's still way too soon to be saying that, just as it would be to claim he's a bust if he were doing bad.

True, 8 games is too soon to make an absolute statement, but if we changed the discussion to about Cam Newton's likeliness/probabilityto succeed, well, the outlook looks extremely bright.

I think it's completely fair to look at what he's done so far and come away impressed. Especially for a rookie QB coming in with a shortened offseason. He's much better than anyone really expected him to be at this point. If he keeps working at improving, the sky's the limit for him.

I think his second year is going to be the true indicator. He's a new QB in a new offense in which nobody has game film on. As far as what he's done so far, I'd say it's very impressive to say the least. The guy still runs way too much at this point and it's eventually going to catch up with him. He took some shots yesterday he had no business taking as a QB.

I liked the game plan, the execution just sucked in the 2nd half. Earlier in the week I was thinking they would blitz him a lot, but as Aikman said rookie qb's are more likely to run & he is dangerous. So, they played for coverage & made him make the right reads. He just so happened to do that most of the time.

I was just disappointed that in the 2nd half we didn't get any pressure w/the 4 or 5 man rush. Doherty blitzed a couple times off the edge but they picked it up easily.

A couple guys had their worst games IMO. Namely Landry & Rak. Rak was shut down for the most part, his sack was on a play he was unblocked. Landry didn't get off many blocks all game.

I hated the game plan. And I have not blamed coaching for anything since Shanny got here. That soft lay back defense is not the idenity they are building here. it took all the life out of them. How do you let a rookie dictate what kind of game your gonna call? He should have been blitzed on every other play so that he could never get comforatable back there. And frankly...the Redskins CB's are not good enough for the kind of game plan he tried to use. Without pressure and the ball coming out quick those guys are cooked...TERRIBLE job by Haslett.

Well. It's pretty much like Jim Zorn's offense. Started out great the first half of the season and then went to shit after defenses caught up with him. We'll see. He's been impressive, but it's entirely too soon to call him the real deal/bust quite yet. Without a doubt, he'll be rookie of the year with this showing.

Receiver...since Legedu Nanaee and Brandon LaFell sure aren't making "one incredible catch after another".

That receiver was the subject of trade rumors the year prior and had a very down season. Suddenly Newton comes in and now he is on a pace for a career high in yards and everything is rosy again.
