Shanny walking up and down the sidelines, arms-crossed passing Kyle who is calling in the 6th play action boot of the day. Kyle, failing to realize you need a running game to execute that play, watches Beck runs for his life before he has the ball batted back at him by the LB/DE who knows to stay home by seeing game tape where we run the same play 10+ a game.

A few weeks ago people were talking playoffs, now they are all negative. When T. Williams returns things will look up again. This team is improved and is not going to the playoffs
Enjoy the young up and coming new talent and take it for what it is, a slow building process that will come to fruition next year.

It's possible Williams returns this week. And Mo Hurt might get a start at G with Montgomery moving back to C

And not looking so great for Atogwe on Sunday, maybe Moore finally gets called up?

We are going 9-0 down the stretch to finish 12-4. You can take that to the bank or my name is not Dirtbag59.

From what I'm hearing, the #Redskins will be starting Maurice Hurt at left guard. Hurt, a rookie 7th-rd pick, will be making his #NFL debut.

nothin to generate enthusiasm like a rookie guard's first start! Get to see another 7th rounder, I take it Cook goes back to the bench.

I think that's the plan. Montgomery is much better at center than guard.

Justin Smith is a monster. Maurice Hurt will not last. Niners win 24-0. I just might not watch the game live and disappear for a week, not spoiling the result till I rewatch it next Friday.

With Buchanon to IR (?) Brandyn Thompson back on the 53-man roster. I like this kid just as much, if not more than Barnes. He has to know that his opportunities are limited to show that he can play. Choice wearing #40, not sure what Thompson will.

Bcuz man we cant score and we've lost 3 in a row, two have been blowouts.. I fell for the hype but after seeing how bad AZ AND STL are we could actually be 1-6 if we had played other teams

I agree. I don't see why the Redskins brought Buchanon back, he's on the down side of his career and he's not that good in coverage and his time with the Redskins is over for good. I rather see the young guys get experience even if the get burned.

Yeah. I mean, look at what the 49ers and the Bills went through the past few years to be were they are now as a franchise. Especially the Bills with a significant number of low draft picks being strong contributers. They have to be the model the Skins are hoping for... real soon.

I don't think we will win, i really think this season we will be a 3 or 4 win team, BUT...i hope we see positive things out of this game that will leave us looking forward to next season not just hoping that we can fix the problems with signing a few players here and there.

I hope Beck looks more comfortable because I think Shanahan is dead set on him being the QB for the next several years....

What in the world leads you to believe this? Allen and Shanahan would be functionally stupid if they didn't draft a QB next year.

They might be considered functionally stupid for not drafting one this year.

Good point. I wish we at least had a rookie in the 3rd string spot. Last year's draft class for QBs was pretty good. I dunno how next year's is gonna be.

Crack kills.

Also, I hope to hell they get a win tomorrow, because tomorrow I don't have to work, and next Sunday I do have to work. Which means I'll have to dvr the Miami game, and hope against all hope that nobody is a dick and tips off the score to me like last time I dvr'd the game. Hopefully we get a rare glimpse at a good team tomorrow.

I hate that. I will avoid people, phone calls, etc., when I know that I have a game on the dvr.

Hey everybody, it was a quote he said regarding Rex Grossman, and making the switch to John Beck.

"I believe in Rex, and I believe in John Beck," Shanahan said. "I told you that from Day One. Both guys, I'm hoping, are going to be here for a long time. … I've been around quarterbacks in the National Football League for a long time, and I know these guys have got what it takes."

Thanks of the source but, the key word in that statement is "hoping". Therefore, one shouldn't conclude Shanahan being "dead set" with either Beck or Grossman. One down, one to go...

I'm hoping "going to be here for a long time" doesn't equal starting. I don't mind having either Beck or Grossman being 2nd string.

You think wrongly.

Hope is not defined as what "dead set" is defined as. Never has been. Never will be.
