Re: Skins @ Dolphins Pregame Thread
The Skins have shown me nothing in the last month to think they can beat anyone. I predict an ugly game and a loss to the Dolphins.
|
Re: Skins @ Dolphins Pregame Thread
Well if your in the (dare I say).... "suck for Luck" (which I dispise the saying) then be happy that we probably only have a chance at winning 2 more games as I see it, and to be quite frank I'm doubting we win those. The first would be this weekend with Miami and the next would be against the Vikes later. Which teams have a worse record then us right now?
|
Re: Skins @ Dolphins Pregame Thread
Lets see;
Colts: 0 wins Dolphins: 1 win Rams: 1 win Vikes: 2 wins Panthers: 2 wins Cards: 2 wins |
Re: Skins @ Dolphins Pregame Thread
Colts have maybe 3 games I could see them winning if at all possible, this weekend against the Jaguars, then a game against the Panthers, then they would have the Jaguars as their last game of the season.
Dolphins I can see them winning only one more game after us and thats against the Jets. |
Re: Skins @ Dolphins Pregame Thread
Rams might be able to win atleast 2 more games possibly 4 total. I could see them beating the Cards and Bengals(maybe), then they have Seattle twice.
Vikings might be able to beat us(Skins) and Bronco's. Panthers I can see them winning maybe 3 more games. They have the Colts atleast once and Bucs twice. Cards Ok, I'll be honest here. I don't see the Cards winning anymore games this year. lol. and will the Rams beat the Bengals? probably not since the Bengals are playing pretty good. |
Re: Skins @ Dolphins Pregame Thread
You know we have a crappy team when there are many more pages of talk on the Penn St scandal than there are of Redskins football. I realize that the Penn St scene is disturbing and big news, but still...
|
Re: Skins @ Dolphins Pregame Thread
The worse the team is, the more we talk about them...but the Penn State story is happening now. Redskins aren't really doing anything until Sunday...when they probably won't do anything again

LOL I dunno if this is meant to sarcastic but it made me howl regardless hehehehehe |
Re: Skins @ Dolphins Pregame Thread
Lets see;
Colts: 0 wins Dolphins: 1 win Rams: 1 win Vikes: 2 wins Panthers: 2 wins Cards: 2 wins
Well from that list, Rams, Vikes and Panthers will not take a 1st round QB (Rams exception is if they get the number 1 over all and trade Bradford) so they are mainly in the gimme picks for my pick category, if any team wants to move ahead of us to get a specific qb. as for the game Sunday, the only thing that interests me is if Beck makes it past this week. Really think he needs an impressive outing in order to make any impact at all. Don't expect that he will :( |
Re: Skins @ Dolphins Pregame Thread
I think if we finish with a top 5 pick we're going to make a serious attempt to get that no. 1 pick. Anything below that and no

I'd be down with that plan even though the price of moving from, say, the five spot to the one spot would be huge. |
Re: Skins @ Dolphins Pregame Thread
So we put a lotta eggs in the Luck basket!!!

Didn't really feel like this was thread worthy but I wanted to share it anyways:

Dude, I'm just sooo tired of hearing about it and I never went there. It's a tragedy. I understand that. But when all you hear on the radio for 3 days from sun up till sun down from every show on talk radio is Penn State and their issues or Cain and his scandal..... I've shut off my radio or switched to the music channels for the last 3 days. Break the news and lets move on. It's amazing how the media has had to disect every aspect of these stories. |

I'm not in their town and have not been paying too much attention to them but I thought I heard or read somewhere that the Rams might be in the running for QB as well which led me to believe they are possibly not satisfied with the performance as of yet. Miami, Colts, and Cards might still be in the running for a QB though. |

Since the end of last season, they desperately needed wideouts and their only solution was to bring Sims-Walker. They probably could use a good TE too. I think on defense they were devastated by injuries, although I think they really didn't have a good secondary. If you watch that game against the Eagles earlier this year, Bradford was making plays but his WRs were not. I think the Rams would be a bit stupid for getting rid of Bradford and not take advantage of getting a ton of picks so they can surround Bradford with talent. |

Yup, solid line, very good running game and defense, and good receiving group. |

I think it will depend more on who gets the no. 1. If it's the colts they may turn down all offers. If its the Rams, I think we have a chance to make a deal regardless of our 1st rounder, as it will likely involve multiple future picks. |

It's not that they haven't drafted receivers; it's just that none of the WRs drafted or picked up from the bargain bin are doing anything. Brandon Lloyd is probably the best WR on their squad, and he was picked up near the trading deadline and knows McDaniel's system. |

I am sure that was the case with FA receivers, but the point is still that Bradford had crap for receivers (and even the best WR from the group got hurt) and had a lot of injuries that led them to the awful start of the season. I don't think Bradford is a bad QB and if they were to land the top spot, it would be better for them to get the WR (if it is feasible to do so) or trade down to get more picks. I think the Rams will be in much better shape once they get healthy and if they are able to get a true #1 WR (a Megatron-like WR would be great for them). |
Re: Skins @ Dolphins Pregame Thread
this is our best chance to win, so here's hoping.

Re: Skins @ Dolphins Pregame Thread
Skins 8

Skins 3,
Dolphins 2, After an NFL record 73 yard field goal that lands directly in Jennifer Lopez's Nacho's in the first row, spilling cheese sauce all over her white pants, QB John Beck is benched after taking a safety from checking down what seemed to be his 9th open receiver in 1 play. Skins win and Horacio Cane is furious. HAIL!!! Einhorn is Finkle, Finkle is Einhorn. Einhorn is a MAN!!! |

We just Need a damn win

Im a little surprised about you saying you wont watch.I said the same thing a couple yrs back and Im pretty sure you gave me a hard time about it.:) Its sad that this franchise has sunk so low that its come to this point.Thank God I didnt waste my money on the sunday ticket this yr so I could waste another sunday watching this pitiful team. |

Luckily my brother in law has the ticket and is not really a fan of any specific NFL team so I have been able to watch every game but one this year. I will continue to watch, but I will not be as emotionally invested for the rest of this year. I will instead be looking for improvement/continued excellence by a few of our young players. It will make watching them more fun (hopefully!!) HTTR |

Well I guess I'm glad to see the skins haven't beat you down to where I'm at I will not get the game in my area but if I did I wouldn't be watching it live I'm going to be out in the nice weather riding my toys.If it was on here I would record it and watch it later,as it is I'll probably record the redzone channel to see the highlights Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Re: Skins @ Dolphins Pregame Thread
This is the week the skins explode for 20+ points and win w/ john beck having his best game as a pro. People will say: "who is that mullet guy".
|
Re: Skins @ Dolphins Pregame Thread
^^ yup fred, beck is going to braveheart on the dolphins. i feel sorry for the dolphin fans. they are starting feel alil better about their squad and future. looking at the skins game as a win and confidence booster . .only to have the lowly skins come in and knock their teeth down their throats. after the game if you search "beat down danger dirty gangster explosion", the first video will be highlights of this game.
i wish they still had joey porters punk ass, wouldnt mind seeing him getting some of this ass whoopin in the making. |
Re: Skins @ Dolphins Pregame Thread
Is Jason Taylor still playing for the Dolphins? Maybe Beck will give him a gift sack.

There are folks in Florida who also are apathetic about NFL football.

I had not intended to go as the Skins......outlook is not that good.
BUT the ticket prices are ridiculous soooo.....I am going. A little tailgate...and a win! |
Re: Skins @ Dolphins Pregame Thread
I thin the 'Skins win but I'm not sure why. The last two weeks I picked against them in my pick 'em league and was right. Miami is playing better right now, but Hankerson gets a TD and so does Helu. Defense plays pissed off football for a safety or a TD return...

Re: Skins @ Dolphins Pregame Thread
I'm predicting that Leonard Hankerson will have a big game in his homecoming back in Miami. I expect him to catch at least six passes and be a big part of the passing game. He will also score his 1st NFL TD reception.
