Did Carlos Rogers drop a pick? Horrible stream quality makes it difficult for me to tell.

I'd call it a breakup.. I mean.. there's a chance at a pick but there's no way you can get mad at any corner for not reeling that one in

Field position is mattering this week. That Saints player who said otherwise is getting pwned.

#15 on New Orleans might be looking for a new team after this season.

San fran is legit. They're trying to prove that good Defense and running the ball is still a viable formula for winning. I like their style of play.

Imagine a Broncos vs. Niners Super Bowl? Conventional wisdom totally turned on its head.

49ers putting their boots to the Saints ass. That kid that just fumbled the ball wouldn't be playing the rest of the day. He fumbled twice in one play.

Re: Around The NFL - Divisional Round

..and just like that, they are back in it only down 3 points. THAT is what a franchise QB will do for you.

That is the reason I emphasize that if the skins can't get Luck or RGIII that they should draft David Decastro, the running game would be 75% than this year.

Re: Around The NFL - Divisional Round

I'm really surpised there wasn't a helmet to helmet personal foul called on that hit on Pierre Thomas that caused the fumble. That was pretty much one of the most cut and dry helmet to helmet hits I've seen all year.

Re: Around The NFL - Divisional Round

49ers defense is just..wow I know Patrick Willis is a beast, but Bowman..He's right up there, IMO he might be better than PW.

I'm looking at another guy I loved coming out a few years ago, Iupati the Guard from Idaho, and he is a lot better than what we have.

SirClintonPortis 01-14-2012 06:42 PM

Re: Around The NFL - Divisional Round

Alex Smith...could do better against the blitz...and his coordinator might want to call a screen or two...

Yep, best ILB duo in the league and then there's Aldon Smith, Sopoaga, Brooks, etc.

F' Carlos Rogers one more time(even if I want the 9ers to win)

Like I said before the Redskins chose to keep the wrong guy (Hall) instead of Rogers.

It was definitely a helmet hit. But at the time he was technically a runner, not a defenseless receiver or QB, so the applicable rules were different.

Carlos Rogers did not give a us a choice. He set his price too high for us.

Wrong, the front office ****ed up when they signed Hall to a huge contract he didn't deserve, making it difficult to have two high paid CB's on the team. That's why he was bitter and I don't blame him.,I guess we know who the CB is, some of us already knew.

SirClintonPortis 01-14-2012 07:25 PM

Re: Around The NFL - Divisional Round

9ers are definitely not going to keep this up. Saints will eventually score and then...game over.

That's Vinny's fault. You cannot attribute blame to our new FO for what they inherited. Even with the unfair situation, you put the damn work in even if you hate your situation, if only to boost his own resume. And watch, he'll become bitter again when negotiations with the 9ers don't grant him the 5-6 year term he desires.

SirClintonPortis 01-14-2012 07:34 PM

Re: Around The NFL - Divisional Round

And even without the "difficult" situation, Carlos' prior work was NOT 8 million+ material.

Like I said the bitterness started when Hall was signed by the previous regime.

Wow...

Re: Around The NFL - Divisional Round

Wow, longest TD run by a QB in 9ers postseason history. This moment of joy might not last though. The Saints know how to work that 2 minute drill...and remember...Steelers had too much time in that Super Bowl too.

Even with the bitterness factor, there are 31 other employers that could have given him the big money and the long term he wanted. 31 other teams did not.

Alex Smith should've went out at the one and the 9ers should have run it 3 straight times before kicking the field goal.
