I really want this hat but do you guys think it is flat billed? Plus when did hats get up to $35, Christ!

Here's my random/overly thought out take on the flat brim. The idea actually started out with a function; baseball players would keep the brims flat so that they could more comfortably wear sunglasses while in the field. Then a few pros started wearing them, so the look caught on with the general public. Now it's just overdone to a ridiculous level.

The bills on the MLB hats are weird, when you try to shape them you have to be careful because as I found out if you over bend them they kind of "snap" and become creased. Your better off buying a replica one, they usually have a normal bill.

I used to be a big hat guy in HS but the prices are stupid now a days.. $25 for one hat? I'll pass

59fiftys are all flat billed fitted caps

The 49fortys were nice.. not sure if they got discontinued or what but they're not around anywhere that I've seen

My problem is fitted hats never really fit right. Their either to tight or to loose. I like the strapped hats, better if it has the metal adjustment, or Velcro but no plastic snap backs please. The mesh backing hat looks to much like something out of the 70's that my dad would wear. Lol. Can't stand the mesh.

haha, yes, the trucker style hats from random local businesses. that's all my grandfather wore, rest his soul

I agree. A trucker hat is something my dad would wear. Fitted caps aren't my deal either, but I'd wear one of those before I wore a trucker cap. I prefer beanies over both though, but beanies are cold weather only. If I want to wear a hat in summer to keep the sun out my eyes, I'll wear my 'Skins safari hat. It's got just enough brim on it to keep me cool and the sun out my eyes.
