LAST YEAR: (All started games in 2011 or had impact off bench)

Round 3 - Hankerson
Round 4 - Helu
Round 5 - Paul
Round 5 - Gomes
Round 6 - Royster
Round 7 - Maurice Hurt
Round 7 - Marcus White
Round 7 - Chris Nield

Only Aldrick Robinson and Brandyn Thompson did not have contributions but still made the team. I trust Shanahan and Allen to find contributors in any round, so stocking up with as many picks as we can should be the plan.
Actually Brandyn Thompson forced a game winning fumble at the end of the game last season against the cardinals which sealed the W for us..I'd call that contributing and he did more than that by the end of the season.

im hoping we package something to move back into the 2nd round. martin (OT stanford) was projected as a top 10 pick for a long, long time, but hes still available. bobby massie is still there as well. if they drop past the first 10 picks of the 2nd, id like to see us package our 3rd with some other picks to move up to grab them. they would be good value.
they were horrible last night. It was more Berman than Gruden, those two didnt mesh
Gruden's drop off was weird because you know he watches a bunch of tape on EVERYONE. So it's not like he doesn't know anything about the players being drafted but it was like he was reading his scouting reports from a piece of paper. It was completely unnatural.

Re: 2012 NFL Draft (Day 2)

Any chance of bundling Gaffney and our 3rd and maybe a 4th-5th round pick to move back into the 2nd with a team needing a wr?

Good move by the Colts- reuniting Luck with one of his college weapons.

skinsfaninok 04-27-2012 07:28 PM

I hate how they say what the team needs and should draft on ESPN like they don't know already lol

skinsfaninok 04-27-2012 07:28 PM

Hmmm I think the rams need a WR?? No shit

Only for us to take a Safety or Wide Receiver. Because you know it's all about getting TONS OF COMPETITION. GUYS COMPETITING EVERYWHERE! Except for the socialist on the offensive line :D

Sorry I know I sound like a broken record. Sorry I know I sound like a broken record.

Interesting. The Dolphins get the 2nd Round QB in the 1st Round and the 1st Round Tackle in the 2nd Round.

God I look at all of these guys getting picked and I just don't see it especially looking at the Rams draft class. I mean is that what multiple picks buys?

Re: 2012 NFL Draft (Day 2)

Anybody here have just a smidge of buyer's remorse? I found myself coming to the realization this morning that we won't have another first round pick until the year 2015.

If it all works out and RGIII gets us over the hump and makes us a regular playoff contender I won't care.

We still have lots of needs though...

So many of these players, even the combination of players won't have anywhere near the impact of a developed RG3.

Kendricks is a pretty agile guy, according to his 3-cone drill numbers.

What the hell is wrong with Burman? He's starting to lose it.

True. If he's everything people say and way, way more, nobody's going to look back.

I'm just asking questions here, but ... is it possible our expectations of him will be way out of line? Doesn't he have to be Randall Cunningham and/or Steve Young reincarnated with multiple Super Bowl trophies for it to be worth everything that was paid for him?

I just hope he's not put in a position no human being can possibly live up to.

WilbursHomie 04-27-2012 08:11 PM
I actually think he's doing all right to be honest. I miss Steve Young though.
I thought he was too until he started screaming,"BLOOD THIRSTY" before the commercial. That's how it start with Burman. One moment of excitement and it's all down hill.
