Re: Josh LeRibeus pick 3.8
In addition to who I saw tOday I ran into/met Vinny Cerrato at the grocery store. I wasn't in the mood to fight so I kept it civil.

Re: Josh LeRibeus pick 3.8
I sure hope so.

He's got that old school hog look for sure

Re: Josh LeRibeus pick 3.8
Since I hear LiRebus is getting most of his reps at center, do you guys think he unseats Will Montgomery

I heard LeRib was getting the reps at Center during rookie mini-camp. I didn't know he was getting the reps during the OTAs, where did you hear this from? |

If LeRibeus is close to what Grimm was, he was be excellent for sure. |

I want someone like Grimm who treated Randy White like a girl, kicked defensive players ass. Grimm wasn't afraid or intimidated by anyone, players knew what they were getting into and were afraid of him. Let's hope Josh is of that mold. |

Usually lineman from Pitt are just what you described. They're mean and nasty and aren't afraid to pimp any defensive lineman on Sundays. If this Josh LeRibeus is anything like that he could go on to have a hall of fame career. |

For those who want to see Josh LeRibeus and Richard Crawford against a good team, here you go! |
Re: Josh LeRibeus pick 3.8
LeRibeus will most likely get the start at center if he keeps doing as good as they say he is. I recall Shanahan saying something along the line that Montgomery is good, but is backup material verses starter. Believe he said the same about Lichtensteiger.

For those who want to see Josh LeRibeus and Richard Crawford against a good team, here you go!
I only watched TCU's first drive, but he had some nice pass protection and a sweet pancake of a defender on their 2nd down run. I hope this kid can become our starter, but if not this year, at least he adds some needed depth. |

If Ribs starts at center, does Monty or Lich start at LG? |

If Ribs starts at center, does Monty or Lich start at LG?
Will Montgomery is a very good center (IMO). At LG though he is too small and out of place and a polar opposite of what he is at C. Korey L was probably our best and most consistent OLineman until he was cheap shoted week 5 against philly and tore both his ACL and MCL. LeRibeus is a rookie who I never heard of until draft day, and we don't know what he will play, all we know is he isn't playing Tackle. And oh yeah did I mention he's a rookie. We need some preseason and contact practices to see what we really got in that 3rd round Ribeye. |
Re: Josh LeRibeus pick 3.8
It would be really impressive Ribeye starts. That said his work ethic/attitude are reason enough to be encouraged about the future of the oline interior. RT is still the big ? though and no rookie will be helping us there.

Re: Josh LeRibeus pick 3.8
I think Jamaal Brown will have a comeback year this year. With RG3, it doesn't take a rocket scientist for him to figure out how much we gave to get this blue chip quarterback. Hopefully that lights a fire under his ass to get back to form, and perform like he did with the Aint's. I feel like he could have a pro bowl year, same with Trent. Ribeye, I'm not so sure of. Only time will tell on that pick. The tape on him looks good, but he'll be going against arguably the best lines in the NFL considering the NFCEast. We will see. Id love him to morph into one of the leagues best, but I just don't know.....

I think Jamaal Brown will be better this year because RG3 will make the OL look better with his escapability. |

Agreed. But thankfully Brown isn't protecting Griffin's blindside!!! |

That's not funny dude! Williams should have his best season yet. I'm not predicting it because his character issues are still in question, but if he stays clean and focuses on football Trent should be gold. |

So you're saying....RGIII is going to throw left-handed for away games? |

I hope that Trent will be gold. We need him to be gold. But what if he gets hurt or, heaven forbid, puff puff passes? In that situation, is Tyler Polumbus really the left tackle anchor that we want going up against DWare? |

That's how talented he is. He's a switch-throwing QB. |

I'd prefer Willie Smith playing LT than Tyler Polumbus. Polumbus is more suited at RT. I'm expecting Trent Williams to have a tremendous year though. He still hasn't played well enough on a consistent basis to make us forget about Chris Samuels yet. |
