I think it's a byproduct of the fact that the show is moving away from the meth cooking storyline. WW is now out of that business, and it appears the remainder of the show will revolve around what was revealed to us in the last 30 seconds of this most recent episode. Who knows, though. I'm sure there will be many more twists in the eight remaining episodes that will keep us guessing.

Yeah I'd guess the last 8 episodes will focus mainly on Hank vs Walt.

Walt must go on the run at some point, going by what we saw in the cold open of episode 1 of this season.

I'm just looking forward to Walt getting his and I hope it's brutal. Poetic justice would be for Skylar to snap and take him out but I have a feeling it's going to be Jesse who does the deed.

The Godfather trilogy used the color orange to signify impending death - Breaking Bad frequently uses pink, the color of most of Holly's clothes.

If you have a chance, watch the new show The Writer's Room on the Sundance Channel - the first episode was with the writing staff of Breaking Bad. There was some really fascinating stuff in there.
I'd heard this before, but it was especially cool to hear the show's creator, Vince Gilligan, talk about how the original intention was for Jesse to die at the end of the first season but they changed their minds after seeing how good Aaron Paul was in the role.

I cannot wait for Sunday night!!!!

Imagine the show without Jesse. The pair's dynamic is what makes BB stand out, imo.

The cancer coming back and getting him is too predictable. Same with him getting killed.

Just Walt and the realization that everything he did was ultimately pointless and that he sold his soul for nothing.

I'm re-watching season 5 and over-analyzing every scene and now I have a new theory on what's going to happen between Walt and Hank...

In S5E7 Hank and the DEA perform execute a search warrant on Mike's house. While they're looking around Mike is watching an old black and white flick where the plot seems to be an investigation into the potential suicide of a cop. They mention that the death may have actually been a murder that was set up to look like he shot himself.
So perhaps Walt will kill Hank but make it look like a suicide?
But I'm not sure how that leads Walt to the M60 in the Denny's parking lot. Maybe Gomez suspects Walt and tries to get revenge...

Clearly I'm a bit obsessed.

I enjoyed the episode last night. If they had shown all 8 in a row I probably would have just sat there and watched them.

For a second I was like noooooooooo don't take the cheesy way out and have Hank die of a heart attack.

I loved how they got right to the Hank vs Walt deal in this first episode. I thought they might drag it out a while with the way the episode was going.

I did as well. I was screaming at the television becuase I thought it was ending at 10pm which was when Walt was heading into the garage. I'm thankful for that extra 4 mins they gave last night. Walt breathing heavily and then settling before walking back in questioning Hank was just amazing. Upset that I have to wait til Sunday.
