I was going through the highest rated players, and Marshall Yanda of the ravens is rated in the top 25, and apparently Daryl Smith of the Jags is a big name guy, because he's rated higher than Fletcher.

Anyone play the Ultimate Team? I have several coach cards and can't find the "collections" set for them. Is there a coaches collection this year and I'm just missing it?

Most of the complaints so far have been from dummies who think they took out franchise mode altogether. I see now EA added a pop-up when you fire up the game that explains franchise mode is now in connected careers.

The major change is no fantasy draft option and no importing rosters from NCAA. Both of which I really don't care about personally.

I haven't made it to the offseason yet, but as I understand it all the offseason stuff is still there, draft, free agency, etc.

It's funny, for years people complained how it's been the same old game, a $60 roster update. And now they finally make some noticeable changes and what do you know... people complain about it. They can't win.

All I'm saying is Team sites are always the Pro's about the team. Its not the ESPN.com, or Si.com that cover everyone, its just one site strictly focused on one team. And they get all their info from the organization. So its basically the organizations opinion on its players; they're not going to say that so and so looks bad and write an article on the site.


Sure if he was in a large market we would know if he was good or not.

Do you mean edit their positon, or just move them in the depth chart to a different spot?

For example Cooley is listed as a FB, but you can still play him at TE.

Love the read-option play (shotgun 4WR). The game gets a little Incredible Crash Dummy-like with the Infinity Engine.

*the last one i played was madden 11

rolb rated 84 ovr
if i move him to re on the [B]depth chart[/B], he's 90 ovr
but if i [B]edit his position[/B] to re, he's 96 ovr

so the benefit of editing his position was far greater than just editing the depth chart. also made more sense when trading, the trade partner is going to value his ovr rating - not his rating on the depth chart.

a lot of decent lbs made very good, even great des
a lot of good ots made great ogs or cs
a cb may make a better fs/ss or vice versa

matty, i know you told me that they added the ability to structure contracts differently on madden 12, is it the same on 13?
also, could you trade future picks on 12? and can you do that on 13?

Just out of curiosity is it possible to find a video of Madden 13 on Youtube without some jackass providing their own personal commentary? I swear all I wanted to see was gameplay footage and the whole first page featured videos where guys introduced themselves as 'my boy.'

You can't upload your own roster to CC mode either, you have to start CC mode with the default roster. I even downloaded the updated roster and started a new CC mode as a coach and it still used the main roster that came with the game.

They said that the new roster you can only use offline play now or online play now modes. The CC roster will be available tomorrow.

Smart move on their part. It's too bad all the bitching and moaning has overshadowed the positives of the game.

I didn't miss either feature as much as some, but it will be nice to have them regardless.
