Luck and RG3 are going to be studs for a long time to come.
Yes idc who's better " I just want to be a contender again. Griff is definitely the newest king of DC for sure and he's becoming a media superstar by the day. |
Tannehill looked sharp. Big time arm.
I'll say I still think he'll be a average at best qb but he's better tham what they got by far |
I can't wait to see Dallas and their poor oline tomorrow against a very underrated Oakland defense
|
@JasonLaCanfora: Pack announces signing of Ced Benson
|
Re: Around the nfl: Pre season week 1
Benson will be their leading rusher

I wouldn't be surprised, their running game has been squat for a long time. |
Re: Around the nfl: Pre season week 1
I thought Andrew Luck looked pretty damn good. He did play longer than robert, but he had some nice throws. The first TD he had was a joke, thats just piss poor defense by the rams. I can't wait for our preseason game with us. Then we'll see how easy Luck has it passing with Orakpo and Kerrigan on him.

I just hope their defense is that bad when we play them next month |

Yeah, Tannehill looked very good for a first outing. Good poise, good decisions, live arm. |

James Starks how do you feel about that? |
Re: Around the nfl: Pre season week 1
I wouldn't be surprised, their running game has been squat for a long time.
Green Bay is still a passing team, thats how they are built. there not gonna ask Benson to come in and rush for a 1000 yards. Still think Starks leads the team, but that total will be 775 yards at the most. There whole offense is built around Aaron's arm. |
Re: Around the nfl: Pre season week 1
It's still going to be some time until we see how good RG3 and Luck are going to be. I remember when Danny Wuerfful lit it up for us during his first pre-season game. I'm sure Luck will be better than Weurfull but he debuted against the worst team in the NFL.

I noticed there was some mention of this in another thread, so sorry for duplicating. I hadn't made it through all the other threads yet! Gah, don't smite me mods! |

Re: Around the nfl: Pre season week 1
CJ hasn't been much of a force since leaving the Bengals anyway. Did the Fins really need him all that much?

this guy has been nothing but a joke...hope he's done
Not at all. Chad Ochonson found a receipt for condoms in his wife's car and they got into an argument. Apparently, Chad isn't the only one that been doin' work while he's at training camp. |

Actually, the other report was wrong. It was Chad's wife that found the receipt for the condoms. Apparently he was the one messing around?
- was arrested Saturday after Lozada confronted him about a receipt she found for a box of condoms, police said. According to an arrest affidavit, Lozada said she was taking groceries into their home when she found the receipt in the car trunk.
WR Chad Johnson released by Dolphins - Yahoo! Re: Around the nfl: Pre season week 1
CJ wasn't even on the first team and Miami really doesn't have any wr's. He's done and has no one to blame but himself. Now he can do reality shows full time.
|
Re: Around the nfl: Pre season week 1
This wasn't a football decision but just for factual accuracy Chad was a first team WR.
|
Re: Around the nfl: Pre season week 1
This is unfortunate for CJ because now everyone is like "I told you so!" about him when in reality he's never been a "societal problem". The worst he ever did was request a trade from the Bengals.

He's never even been in any trouble, and I think the dolphins are just clueless honestly. They have turned into a laughing stock |
Re: Around the nfl: Pre season week 1
Ok, I'm not trying to hijack this thread, but I have a fantasy keeper question for all you Fantasy Football guys. I had Ryan Mathews last year and he can be a 7th round keeper for me this year in a 10 team standard non-ppr format. We start 2 RB, 2WR and 1 flex. Is he worth keeping for a 7th round pick? or is he done thsi year and too fragile.... discuss.

You should take this up in the fantasy football section |

Look at what other players do, (Ray Lewis, Chris Henry, Haynesworth, Pac-man, Vick). We had Donte Stallworth and Larry Johnson on our team recently. Meanwhile, Chad changes his name and we're horrified.
Don't know how this arrest will pan out, but up to that point I don't understand why anyone would bash Chad/Ocho.* *(Even though I'm glad Vinny wasn't able to trade multiple 1st rounders for him, a while back. Thank goodness the Bengals turned us down.) |

And you're judging this off of one half of a pre season game against one of the worst teams in the NFL? He played well but no one game plans for these games. I'll hold off on comparing Luck to Peyton. |

I hear they are already chiseling his bust in Canton. |

Marrying reality stars, having multiple tv shows, constant twittering, putting on HOF jackets after you score...all that is all good when you can still get open and put up numbers. Now his skills have eroded and no one cares about his act anymore. It's a distraction that Philbin wasn't going to tolerate. |
Re: Around the nfl: Pre season week 1
Luck looked good no doubt, but yeah I agree with holding off on saying he's going to be better than PM. PM is one of the all time greats, Luck is just getting started.

Good read on RG3. The ball definitely jumps off his hand, and I noticed how quick and compact his delivery is. The ball comes out quick with his release. |
