The 49ers are definitely as good as they were last year. They have a 4-2 record and are tied involved in a 3-way tie for the lead in their division. Don't let their humiliating loss to the NYG allow you to underestimate them. Harbaugh has that team playing sound football right now.

They have a avg at best passing game and gore can only carry so much of the load. Also v Davis isn't playing near the level he did last year. Idk maybe I'm over looking here but I just think they were way overblown this off season. Moss hasn't done Jack there

We'll see what they become in the coming weeks. The 49ers are a dangerous team until they're completely out of it. They may be good enough to win a wildcard or even their division.

I take back about saying the other day Id take the Broncos over the Chargers because its a prime time game and Norv usually chokes those off. Please forgive. Plus it was more of Rivers fault.

If by "unusual" you mean idiotic, then yes it is one of the most "unusual" pieces I've seen written by a team PR guy. Man, this is about as bad of a PR move as when Wiley Coyote told Snyder it's a good idea to sue the paper.

I think the Chargers are doing everything in their power to sabotage the team and alienate the fans so they can move to LA.

No kidding! And is LA the desired destination?

It's pretty crazy a city the size of LA doesn't have an NFL franchise, and yet there's three in Florida, that all suck lol.

rough estimate of the nfl fans in l.a.

50% raiders
40% cowboys
2.5% 49ers
2.5% chargers
2% browns
3% other

Fans should start cheering for the Raiders if they do. I don't blame the fans reaction one bit after the other night.

It's been done many times now and hasn't worked out either time. The Chargers, Raiders, Rams have all been located in LA and moved the hell out. It tells you that LA doesn't want NFL, they want movie stars, Lakers basketball, and Dodgers baseball.

It's a ****ing waste to put another NFL team back in LA when we all know good and well it's not going to last.

SmootSmack 10-19-2012 02:38 PM

Re: Around the NFL...Week 7 Style

Well some speculate that LA doesn't get a team so it can always be a threat to other cities "If you don't build this stadium, we'll just move to Los Angeles"

Some also speculate that LA might get two teams

The Chargers' lease situation allows them to move to LA in 2013. Other teams like the Vikings and Jaguars don't have that luxury

The Jaguars could move but it will cost them if they move before 2027

Idk, let's consult the Oklahoma City Thunder or Winnipeg Jets for how they'd handle it. To be fair though, the NBA's new Brooklyn franchise kept the Nets name, although they made a different logo.

In unrelated matters, Tim Tebow owns the trademark for the term "Tebowing."

Any speculation on the skins moving to south jersey? Not that i would really be in favor of that but man would it be more convenient for me to get to the games.

I remember reading that we originally were going to be the boston redsox but changed the name to the redskins because of the baseball team.

Pretty much. I've been to three games at Qualcomm (a terrible stadium, btw) and two of them had at least 50 percent fans of the visiting team. The only time it was all charger fans was when a dude named Jason Campbell led his varsity squad in a season ending loss to a bunch of Charger waterboys.
