NOOO to cooley. Paulsen just had a decenf game why not give him time and playing time to see what he can do. Cooley is a waste of time man come on .
Where does it say that Cooley will be the #1 TE? At best Cooley is the #2 TE, although he might be the 3rd TE even though Paul can't catch or block. |

What are you and the rest of you saying. Cooley comes back and is immediatlry our best tight end. You Come on Man. Paulson is OK and Niles sucks upto this point. |

I didn't say that at all. I think he'll be the #3 TE behind Paulson (#1) and Paul (#2). |
re: Fred Davis Done for Season. Welcome Back Cooley
What if Shanahan doesn't look in Cooley's direction? What if he looks to add someone else?

Cooley definitely brings even more attitude to this offense.

Re: Captain Chaos
I have a feeling Freddie D will be back quickly, I'm sure he has his medicimal herbs at the ready.
|
Re: Captain Chaos
Cooley wasn't through just yet. It's too bad Davis went down with a season ending injury. Hopefully he can rehab it and be ready for next season. Cooley in the meantime should climb the depth chart soon. He knows the playbook already. I don't see either Paul or Paulsen starting at TE for the long term since they are both largely unproven.
|
re: Fred Davis Done for Season. Welcome Back Cooley
I knew he'd be back no earlier than Pitt and that was questionable at best so I suspected they would just sit him until after the bye bc why bring him back for one non-divisional game
|
Re: Captain Chaos
Nile Paul cant catch, he should be converted to safety.
Cooley Will pass him on the depth chart fast enough. The Davis injury is disturbing. We are going to have to look hard next year for someone not on the roster to be our starting TE. (I'm assuming Davis's injury is bad) |

Im a Cooley guy, but Paulsen has looked pretty much proven to me!! He's had some big catches this year and a good blocker. I like him, he's seems like a good Redskin. |

I am sure we'll find out today if he passes the physical or not. |
Re: Fred Davis Done for Season. Welcome Back Cooley
He's not in football shape that's for sure.
It's not like he's going to be starting next week, so he will have time to get worked back into the mix. |
Re: Fred Davis Done for Season. Welcome Back Cooley
I'm really bummed about Davis. He was having a nice season, not just catching the ball but his all around game was really improved. There's no way he can be replaced as far as what we did with him scheme wise. Other guys really need to step it up.

Paulsen sure did a good job in stepping up after Davis went out. |
Re: Fred Davis Done for Season. Welcome Back Cooley
I really feel bad for Davis. He's on a one year deal and has a major injury, that just sucks.

Re: Fred Davis Done for Season. Welcome Back Cooley
This team is like Michael Jordan with the Bulls in the mid-80's BEFORE they started winning Championships. We have the most exciting player in the league, but no one around him that can help him win games. Remember when Jordan use to score 60 but the Bulls would still lose? That's the 2012 Redskins. They score the go ahead TD with 1:30 or so left and still find a way to lose. The Redskins Defense is Worse than terrible! There are just no playmakers on either side of the ball to help RGIII win games, except Santana. I know they had 4 turnovers, but they could have still won if this team had any defense at all. Very Frustrating Monday.

I agree. People are panicking here because they think he'll be starting or something when this is just a depth move. Going forward my starting TE is Paulsen, and I let Cooley and Paul duke it out for #2 since Paul is still having trouble. It concerns me that Paul just said he's learning about the importance of technique. He said he got by on athleticism during the summer but now that the games are being played he's realized technique is really important too. That's not a good sign for me, it means he probably still has a long ways to go. |
