It will be a tough one. Gotta get Flacco flustered early, Rice off his game and keep Boldin in check.

The Nationals and the Orioles--the sport you'd rather watch and people care about more
Good thread here.
Since I work around 80% Raven fans every 4 years I get pounded with it. Have the Redskins ever won against the Ravens? I remember the pitiful last time. They came out physical first thing and demanded submission.....and got it for the most part... but we played them at M&T last time. 12th man needs to demand submission here this time....get loud for the skins foremost. Alot of energy transmits to players. I think if they know you want it ,they'll get it for you... Seems to work for the Ravens at M&T because they're terrible away. Fed Ex isn't really away for them though. Steelers have the blueprint for defense. Good rush will shake Flacco. Tight coverage fustrates Boldin and Torey. Keep a spy close to stop that little f$#@! diddle diddle in the middle shit and the RG3 and company power boost will take care of the rest. Game over. Lights out! The only thing that scares me is Cameron is still trying his best to prove they have a pass attack. We're weak defending it. We need to keep time of possesion on our side like we did against NO. Morris needs to play like after he fumbled the ball against NY. Man I hope we get this one....This one's for the fans on the northern front. We need some respect again. Go Skins!!!
If I remember correctly we beat the Ravens the year they won the superbowl. 7-6 or 9-7. |
If Charlie ****ing Batch can beat em than RG-3 should have a field day. We win this one and its on. The last good team they played imo was Houston and they got smoked. Pitt was without Big Ben for both games and are clearly not the same team. We got the crowd and we got the momentum
27-20 Skins. Ravens get a garbage time TD and the game isnt as close as the score. |

10-3. Put us at 5-2 on the season. Beat the Jags the following week. Then in typical Norv fashion the collapse began. |

I cant believe he is still a head coach, but I digress. |
Re: Ravens V Redskins - Beltway Brawl or Maryland Massacre?
We win this game convincingly, and people start to take notice that we might make some noise in the playoffs..........
Skins - 31 Ravens - 16 |
Re: Ravens V Redskins - Beltway Brawl or Maryland Massacre?
oh, norv. well, looks like the chargers finally figured out that he's not meant to be a head coach. aj smith is probably out there too. good decisions, made WAY too late.

Re: Ravens V Redskins - Beltway Brawl or Maryland Massacre?
Talk about a coach who wouldn't adjust to his players talents, that was Norv here with Shuler

Re: Ravens V Redskins - Beltway Brawl or Maryland Massacre?
Goes to show what having a bona fide superstar can do for your psyche ... I know RG3 had two straight 4 TD games but I am wondering what his ceiling is. Any chance he goes off for 5 or 6 tds in a game this year? No doubt he will do it at some point in his career, but I am curious to see if he could do it as a rookie. Wins are the most important stat but still...

I would say the only way this could happen is if we had a stronger defense and better special teams. RG3 would need multiple opportunities starting on "short fields" cause by our d getting turnovers and our return guys breaking long returns. So probably not, plus Kyle and Shanny are continuely to feed the ball to Alfmo, which is a positive the offense isnt entirely on his shoulders. |

Got to disagree. All it takes is for RGIII to recognize an exploitable D formation and the WR's to run the right routes. We've already seen what the long bomb can do. If he can put up 28 in a Qtr he can potentially do to someone what the Eagles did to us that time. I don't believe this is predicated on Kyle/Dad reining RGIII in. If the ball is there then he will launch it. We'll see a 50+ point game this season, probably the next Eagles game. :thumb::towel::point::httr::dallas::httr::point::towel::thumb: |

RG3's best chances to put up those kinds of numbers in his rookie season may come against the Cowboys or the Eagles. He had solid games against both of these teams a few weeks ago so he's capable of duplicating that success. |

Great read! I hope Kyle does extend with us. This offense has so much potential and it confuses the hell out of defenses. Love it! |

I wonder if a succession plan will be built into his next contract.. Figure Mike gets a 3 year extension in 2013 and Kyle maybe takes over in 2015 coming off of a SB win? |

I also came away from this article impressed with Paulsen. In particular, his observation of how the offense has developed under Kyle seems spot on: “He’s growing the offense,” Paulsen said of Shanahan. “He’s kind of the gardener for this team. He’s done a great job of making sure that we’re ready to go and that we’re in a great position to be successful each week, which is really special.” I don't think I have ever heard anyone refer to a football coach as a gardener -- but it does seem an apt analogy. |
