Firstdown hates you now

I love to listen to Billick talk football, but not during the game. That's not his strong suit

billick isn't as boring as martz, but he's close. i don't mind him at all on nfl network, but yeah, during the games - no thanks.

You know firstdown is just his user name right? His real name is actually Firstdown Brennaman

I'd love to see Gus Johnson call a playoff game; Especially over Brennanman and Brian Billick who have said famous lines like "San Antonio Moss" and kept comparing Alfred Morris to Jerome Bettis CONSTANTLY during the steelers broadcast.

Ponder out.
Declared inactive for game today, his elbow did not heal in time.

According to this, he's inactive.

Ouch.

Re: Around the NFL-Wild Card Weekend

Im still lost on why Jay Gruden is a viable head coaching prospect...2nd shot at the same team in the playoffs and his offense is doing zilch against a defense struggling down the stretch. really poor by Cincy offense.

NC_Skins 01-05-2013 06:48 PM

Re: Around the NFL-Wild Card Weekend

That last INT wasn't Dalton's fault (Green's), but Houston's defense has came to play.

The might be better off with Webb.

Ponder stinks.

skinsfaninok 01-05-2013 06:54 PM

Webb may b better than ponder honestly. And Houston AND Cincinnati is a boring ass game.

CRedskinsRule 01-05-2013 07:29 PM

I like Webb. would have taken him last year if we could have gotten him.

Re: Around the NFL-Wild Card Weekend

Dalton could have several TDs on the board if he was accurate with his deep passes.

agree. he's really struggled this game.

Re: Around the NFL-Wild Card Weekend

The saddest thing from the Cincy/Houston game was seeing the great Earl Campbell on a walker like an 80 year old man, supposedly he was confined to a wheelchair for years. Earl Campbell gave it his all, what a great football player!!

NC_Skins 01-05-2013 07:41 PM

Re: Around the NFL-Wild Card Weekend

The second saddest thing is seeing how Marvin Lewis has lasted so long and hasn't even won a SINGLE playoff game as the Bengals HC.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. Campbell was awesome to watch...but what a long-term price he paid.

skinsfaninok 01-05-2013 07:43 PM

Bengals have had a decent team last 2 seasons but I don't see them ever being a true contender.

Forgive me as I'm sure it's already been discussed, but do we want GB or Minn to win tonight? I heard that if GB won they'd play SF. Does that mean that if the 'Skins beat Seattle and GB wins we go to ATL?

Rather play ATL in the redemption rematch.

Agreed. I recall playing the Dirty Birds fairly close until RG III got concussed. Would much rather play here in ATL than SF.

Webb is playing scared. You can tell he can't read defenses. (not well anyways)
Webb is playing scared. You can tell he can't read defenses. (not well anyways)
How good would Minnesota be if they actually had a QB?? Scary

NC_Skins 01-05-2013 09:24 PM

Re: Around the NFL-Wild Card Weekend

This is why if you don't have a QB, you are pretty much wasting your time. Sure you might get lucky every now and then, but by in large, QB play dominates.

redskins5044 01-05-2013 09:28 PM

And need a decent backup QB, Webb is making Ponder look like a Hall of Famer.

Yep, which is y we have sucked for years. We had a couple 9 win seasons but 1 and done in the playoffs pretty much
