Im not going to lie, I have called Peyton Elite plenty before but am second guessing that as the years go on, definitely Elite in the regular season, but playoffs is looking different. Eli has shown that when he is on his game, he deals with playoff pressure better than Peyton. And as they say, your legacy is built in the playoffs.

Having said that, I personally dont think Peyton has ever had a great defense, except this year in Denver, and they played terrible against the Ravens in their lone playoff game. Cant help but think if Peyton had a playoff caliber Def actually play like a playoff caliber Def during the playoffs, whether he wouldnt have at least one more himself.
Peyton Manning is still an elite quarterback. Him and Brady are both most likely going down as top 5 quarterbacks of all time.
First Eli never called himself elite,he was ask in an interveiw "do you consider youself in the same group as Peyton ,Tom Brady, and Breeze all elite QBs and he said yes."And he is,other than Brady who else has 2 super bowl wins to their credit out there playing right now?
LOL, thanks for providing an example of Eli actually calling himself elite!

Interesting, so Dan Marino, who never won a Superbowl, isn't elite by your criteria?

And no, Eli is not elite. He was lucky to be on a lucky team in '07 and '12. His own body of work doesn't hold up.

It's a shame the League allows him to play.

Why who says he is guilty? He has been accused and has not even detained; sounds like a weak case to me.

skinsfaninok 01-19-2013 11:53 PM

It's funny because if that was you or me being in a rape investigation we wouldn't have jobs anymore. O well hope he's innocent but I'm sure he's probably guilty just like ben was

I certainly hope our jobs wouldn't fire us over just an allegation.

After watching the Football life on ray Lewis, I'm pulling even harder for Baltimore tomorrow and I'm a huge Brady guy but the ravens deserve that ring

I wonder if it skipped over the part where Ray Lewis murdered somebody?

Gil Brandt ‏@Gil_Brandt

.@DetroitLionsNFL have work this offseason. Stafford, Suh, Megatron account for $50M of 2013 cap. Could start by redoing Stafford contract.

Ouch.

That interception by Brady was his OC's fault. Tom clearly does no wrong. Come to think of it, it may have been Kyle's fault. He's been holding Brady back since the 2007 season.

He was never tried he took a plea deal to testify on his friends. Who were then found not guilty, I am all about second chances but the way Ray Lewis is praised is just little over the top.

First drive. TD pass to Jones looked easy.

skinsfaninok 01-20-2013 03:17 PM

For some reason I'm just not that into the nfc game but I'm watching anyway

skinsfaninok 01-20-2013 03:22 PM

Atlanta is making SF look bad

It would be nice to see Tony G. Get to the big game .

Atlanta opened up like they did last week. They better learn to finish teams off.

Seattle has a better offense than sf though

Re: Around the NFL: Conference Championships Edition

Wow. Falcons have really come to play today against this 49ers defense. This 49ers defense is acting pretty much like Denver's did last week.

skinsfaninok 01-20-2013 03:47 PM

Wow this game may get really ugly soon. Sf looks lost on defense, everyone kept doubting Atlanta, they won 13 games for a reason

Atlanta defense looking good with the zone blitz.

Re: Around the NFL: Conference Championships Edition

I hate when teams defer after winning the coin toss, especially in the playoffs. San Fran's decision allowed Matt Ryan to set the tone for this game on the first possession.
Atlanta opened up like they did last week. They better learn to finish teams off.
Atlanta's already lost momentum, lol. See if the Falcon's defense can get back to what they were doing.

Yeah, their defense is looking much like ours right now. Giving up 3rd and longs like it's going out of style.

skinsfaninok 01-20-2013 04:18 PM
Yeah, their defense is looking much like ours right now. Giving up 3rd and longs like it's going out of style.
They r pretty similar, both have no pass rush and both can't tackle at all

HailGreen28 01-20-2013 04:35 PM

Re: Around the NFL: Conference Championships Edition

No defense in the second quarter. Be interesting to see what adjustments are made 2nd half.

CultBrennan59 01-20-2013 04:46 PM

Re: Around the NFL: Conference Championships Edition

San Fran's defense is allowing more points than we allowed when we played them earlier in the season. They need to get it together ASAP.

redskins5044 01-20-2013 05:05 PM

The falcons need a running game or a better D if they want to win a SB.

skinsfaninok 01-20-2013 05:06 PM

Atlanta's d is terrible

redskins5044 01-20-2013 05:09 PM

SF should have kept Cundiff to kick he would have made that.

skinsfaninok 01-20-2013 05:10 PM
The falcons need a running game or a better D if they want to win a SB.
Yeah I don't see how they beat Baltimore or NE. In fact I don't see sf beating them either

skinsfaninok 01-20-2013 05:18 PM

For some reason I think Ryan is like romo just a choke artist

redskins5044 01-20-2013 05:19 PM

Falcons defense is just as bad as ours, can't get off the field on 3rd downs.

skinsfaninok 01-20-2013 05:21 PM
Falcons defense is just as bad as ours, can't get off the field on 3rd downs.
That QB shit is killing the league, defenses have no help anymore, now do u even play defense? U can't tackle low, u can't hit WRs, you barely touch a QB and it's a flag. It's turning into flag football

NC_Skins 01-20-2013 05:23 PM

Re: Around the NFL: Conference Championships Edition

Wow. Horrible tackling by Atlanta.

NC_Skins 01-20-2013 05:25 PM

Re: Around the NFL: Conference Championships Edition

Huge break for the Falcons. A fumble on the goal line for the 49ers.

Chico23231 01-20-2013 05:25 PM

Re: Around the NFL: Conference Championships Edition

HUGE gaff.
