Im completely convinced Bleacher Report is the worst site on the web. Its horrible, it makes PFT read like the wall street journel. Keep clicking those slides, those guys are so clever. Worst writing on the net hands down.

a buddy I met in college, his brother's son's godfather is London Fletcher. His son had a bday party last night when asked who he wants in the draft to my surprise London said.........Tyrann Mathieu. Very interesting.

It's a good thing London Fletcher isn't drafting. Good/Great players generally don't make good talent evaluators. Jerry West is about the only super star I know who was just as good at his GM job as he was on the floor. Ozzie Newsome is a close second.

NC? what part im in Raleigh, went to ECU. Yea your right, Im set on Swearinger @ 51 if he is there, would def take a long look at Mathieu though. I just thought it was interesting to hear from our captain that's all.

I think some of those spaces may be a bit unrealistic. For instance, I'd like to think Swearinger will be there in the third, but it's more likely that he'll be gone before our pick in the second...

Yeah I think Swearinger will be long gone by the 3rd. I have a feeling SF will take him with their early 2nd rounder. I really really hope he is there at 51 and we bite. I love his instincts and tenacity. We shall see, nobody knows what the hell will unfold. love it.

The thought behind WR or offensive player with our 2nd rounder is to build our offense into a Juggernaut. RG3 and Williams have a rapore, we have to have viable passing option if Garcon is hurt. We need playmakers period.

The 2010 saints beg to differ. You just need an opportunistic defense that can get turnovers. You don't necessarily (or realistically) need to hold teams to 9 points anymore to win.

BTW, is anyone here going to Tyrann Mathieu's party after the first round of the NFL draft in NYC on Thursday night?

Nice job by Tyrann and his agents to let it [U]seem[/U] as if he can't focus solely on his professional life for even one day. This is just the kind of thing, on top of other concerns, that will end up costing him a lot of money. Apparently, you can't fix stupid but you can hire it (by that I mean idiotic agents).

Our defense last year was nowhere as good as the 2010 Saints defense. The Saint's defense didnt hold teams to 9 points either. They held them in the teens and 20s while the offense was averaging high 20's to low 30's. I don't see how your example even comes close as a comparable to last year's Redskins Defense.

OT Terron Armstead or Best DB in 2nd Round (depending on grade)
Tyrann Mathieu in 3rd

That would be the best case scenario unless these players weren't available and all of the dbs left weren't graded highly. In the 2nd round, if there was a top-tier player that slipped all the way to 51, then they would need to pick him up ala Cousins.

...with raw, physically-gifted Armstead- the redskins could possibly have their first great bookend tackles since Samuels and Jansen. The line would become more formidable and there would be less reliance on the read-option - and less risk for RGIII to be hurt (regardless of what is done with the read-option)

This. Our defense under Shanny has basically sucked donkey balls until the 2nd half of last season, which reportedly had everything to do with Fletcher taking on a bigger role with scheming and in-game adjustments.

So then he tweets that he didn't authorize the flyer to read "1st Round Draft Pick", as if that's the problem. He shouldn't be attending a party in the first place, much less advertising it, because of the issues that surround him as a prospect.

Yet, if he is that oblivious, shouldn't somebody close to him (agent, family member, or friend) have clued him in as to what could go wrong at that party? What if he isn't drafted on day one and there is a fight at the party? The news people would be all over it. Even if he's just photographed having a good time, some newspaper could report his behavior with a negative slant.

I wish the young man well, I really do. When I was his age, I was as clueless as he seems to be. The difference between our situations is that it could cost him a lot of money.
