Funny thing is that O.J. slow chase broke through when the Houston Rockets Finals game was on, I still remember how pissed I was. I was thinking who gives a crap. Mind you this, that's before there was HD and flat screens all we had were 29 inch bulb tv's. Pic quality wasn't that important then. The circle of life. Will see happens by the 3rd qtr. LOL |

There was a coaching problem in Oakland when Russell was there. Plus there was no one to make Russell accountable. They allowed him to play longer than he should have been allowed instead of benching him sooner. I'm not sure what to expect of Act II of Russell....but I hope that he can resurrect his career. |

Hadn't seen this tidbit before:
"Neighbors say they heard the gunshots between 3 a.m. and 3:30 a.m. Monday morning, but did not report it to police right away. Just about an hour before Hernandez was caught on video walking into his home, Hernandez was seen at Lloyd’s home in Dorchester." Re: Around the NFL 2013 Offseason (Version 5150)
Seems like Hernandez is on the verge of throwing away not only his career and 40 mil contract, but his life as well. The evidence is really starting to pile up against him. Now the neighbors heard gunshots and then he's got a cleaning crew coming a few hours later??? I just wonder how and why he thinks he could get away with something like this. And was it worth throwing away everything he had going for himself.

Re: Around the NFL 2013 Offseason (Version 5150)
Yeah that was my first thought or he goes down the path of the former Panthers player convicted of murder in the late 90s or 2000, 2001.
Who knows a lot of this evidence is conjecture so far, but we don't have any idea what the police know already or are on the verge of being able to prove. So I will let the chips fall were they may but the long and short of it is he knows something at the very least. And could very well be an assecessory to murder if he didn't pull the trigger home self. As far as the Pats go I am sure they will figure something out. Maybe they will trade a 2 for Davis lol (yes that is a joke) |

And Hernandez is basically screwed, he's going to prison for murder or covering up a murder. Either way he's a jackass and obviously a coward to shoot someone in the back of the head. It all leads up to him being some part of it, destroyed evidence? Cleaning crew? Cmon man |

Re: Around the NFL 2013 Offseason (Version 5150)
In some ways Jordan Reed is a "Little Hernandez." They both played at Florida and their playing styles are similar.
Let's hope that Reed is learning the proper lesson from Hernandez's tale. |
Re: Around the NFL 2013 Offseason (Version 5150)
I don't think that is very fair to Reed. They may be similar players in the field, but off of it there is nothing that says Reed is anything like him. As far as this being a reason for players to be careful, well I think this players problems go back to highschool.
But yeah proper law abiding citizens shouldn't be involved in murder cases as a good rule to live by. |

But Hernandez is his "elder" in a sense and thus may have been a role model to Reed. Hopefully Reed sees him, and the need to avoid off-field problems, in a new light. |

while the truth isnt know about the exact extent of hernandez' involvement, it kinda irks me that ppl are bring up ray lewis.
to my understanding, ray didnt have any physical or verbal contribution to the stabbing death but was in the "getaway"car ... did he have more of an involvement? hernandez' involvement as it appears now seems to be much much more direct and culpable. if someone knows something i dont (i honestly dont know all the details of ray's case except that he settled the civil suit out of court), can you let me know? |

Certainly, his friends were part of it, had purchased knives the day before with Lewis present, and they all sped away from the crime scene in Lewis' limo after the murder - not stopping until they got to Baltimore. Further, Lewis' white suit from that night was never found. So there was a lot of circumstantial evidence about Lewis' part in the murder but nothing concrete. As I recall, the general consensus was that, if he didn't actually murder the two men, he knew damn well who did, helped them escape and help destroy material evidence. B/c of changing stories, the lack of eyewitnesses and the lack of physical evidence, no one was ever convicted for the two murders. (See: As we celebrate Ravens Ray Lewis, don't forget the murder victims - Orlando Sentinel) On the other hand, and as it appears right now, Hernandez and three men walked into his house, gunshots were heard and, at some point subsequent, Hernandez, two men and a corpse left the house. While, just as with Lewis, there is a certain level of uncertainty (did Hernandez commit the murder, watch someone commit the murder or find out after the fact and help cover it up), the level of uncertainty is no where near what was present in the Lewis case. |
