First, I think whatever concern it was, is taken totally out of context in that report. What does that even mean? They don't want him to run the read option? Well guess what, all three times he got hurt last year (vs Atl, vs Baltimore, vs Seattle originally) were all on drop back passing plays.

If he has any concern about the way he's being used, he's not ready. Period. If he can't go out there and do everything, then he shouldn't be playing. If he has been cleared, then I'm calling BS on this report.

I agree with that... but I also don't think RG3 is 100% innocent in the whole thing either.

I really don't think there is a "rift" between those two...but they certainly suck at communicating with the media.

Cant wait to see RG3 out there week 1 dominating a hated rival on a national stage. RG3 lives for these moments, there is noway he is not playing.

Side note was able to draft him in my final fantasy draft last night, mid 4th round. First time ive had him on a team. HTTR!

With Mike's history of "smoke signals" leading up to drafts and how he screws with opponents on who is starting...this might not be that far-fetched. I could definitely see him messing with the media intentionally.

I'd love this...Kirk comes out and plays the first series...or until gets the team in the red zone. Kelly thinks we're playing Cousins.

As the defense adjusts to Kirk's play, Griffin then comes out, takes over at the 20 and scores...over and over again.

Dumb idea if RGIII is ready but I'd love to see Chip Kelly tear his hair out in his first game.

He may anyway...Eagles defense was not impressive in the preseason and that O-line is a mess.

Yeah I agree. Everyone likes to blame the media for creating these shit storms, and then those same people get all caught up in the hoopla. It's kinda funny actually.

RG3 is starting week 1, that much I think is guaranteed. What I'm more interested in now is how they're going to gameplan against Philly. Remember last year in the opener at NO, almost all of his first few passes were bubble screens - helping to take the pressure off the QB. I kind of expect them to do something similar to Philly on MNF. Quick passes to get the ball out of RG3's hands. Once he gets in a rhythm they'll start showing more pistol looks - especially play action to take advantage of the eagles secondary. Morris will also be a huge help in relieving pressure on RG3. Thoughts?

I expect ALOT of Morris in the first quarter. Then quick dagger type slants once the LBs start cheating up. Wouldn't be surprised to see an early deep shot though on a 3rd and 4-5 yds.

ESPN is doing anything to get people to watch the game. They are creating news, to get more interest in the game. Griffin is one of the few players in football, that transcends the sport. Griffin drama gets everyone talking, even people that don't care about the NFL.
