Man, do we wish we still had Lorenzo Alexander.
He wouldn't have done squat for us, he's been on IR for a couple weeks now. Done for the year. |
Re: Skins cowboys postgame
They can't tackle for one thing.
No they can't. But Romo didn't have 200 yards, Bryant didn't have 40 yards. Last night, the defense did it's job. Yesterday, that loss is on the crappy offense and even worse special teams. |
Re: Skins cowboys postgame
Hated we lost to the cowgirls but I was expecting a 70% chance we weren’t going to win that one the way we’ve been playing and considering how the cowboys looked against Denver last week. I gotta say the Defense looked better but it’s pretty much impossible to win on field goals alone. The D mostly did their part last night but the offence wouldn’t step up and put points on the board. As others have said in this post, it looks like either the Mike has quit on the team, they’ve quit on him or both.

Re: Skins cowboys postgame
Special teams really blew it. Can't blame the D they held Romo in check.
|
Re: Skins cowboys postgame
yeah u cant give up 2 Tds on ST pretty much smh. We really suck
|
Re: Skins cowboys postgame
I think what pissed me off the most is here we are down 14 or 15 points well in the 4th q....and we're huddling. Why? How many damn times have we seen this under Shanahan? Here we have a coach who is almost the highest paid in the league and he can't run no huddle? He can't manage the clock? He's not calling the plays so what is he doing? WTF is that all about? I hate to blow it up, I think Mike gets one more year but he needs to fire his son.

Re: Skins cowboys postgame
RGIII sucks if he is not scrambling. He locks onto one guy and if he is not open he throws it to them anyways. Best D against us is to allow RGIII to stand in the pocket and let him F it up all on his own.

Re: Skins cowboys postgame
RG3 has played poorly. We took a running QB and are trying to make a pocket passer out of him and trading away 3 first round selections to do it. Cousins is a much better fit as a pocket passer. Much better accuracy but he would struggle with this OL as well. Besides LT we could blow up that line and get 4 new ones with no loss what so ever.
He simply can't beat teams with his arm and the defenses know it. He's stares guys down, he's inaccurate, he holds the ball too long...he just has no natural instincts back in the pocket. But to be fair to RG3, his line is garbage. |
Re: Skins cowboys postgame
Griffin missed some throws but he didn't have much help out there either. Tough to single him out given the poor play of everyone around him. It was a team effort. Too many missed opportunities in the red zone. Can't kick FGs all night long and expect to win.

People are fast to jump on RG3 and say he sucks and all that but when your number 1 option is a rookie TE in any game you wont score much. Garcon was pretty much quiet all night |
Re: Skins cowboys postgame
If I'm to play the blame game now that I've had a nights rest to think about it.
1. Special Teams 2A. Play calling 2B. Griffins poor play 4. OL interior issues 5. The Refs |

Yeah man. For me it goes back earlier. I play the clock and not the score- dont panic. But if we give up an opening drive TD, we can't always begin games trailing. Mathematically we can't give up 7 and score 3 and expect to win. Shanahan has no urgency until its the 4th qtr last possession. Why can't we be a team that wants to f'kn play with leads and defend it until the final whistle? Losing is unacceptable to us, but tolerable to shanahan. I would be going no huddle until we are back in ball games. Huddling up in the 4thqtr is pointless. I was just hoping they would run the clock out b/c why are they pretending to care to win and prolong a loss? Just run the clock out and take your after tan lotions the f'k back to VA. |
Re: Skins cowboys postgame
Basically the Redskins do not do anything well consistently. That is why they are 1-4.
Redskins had two weeks to prepare, had 200 more yards of offense than the Cowboys, and lost by 15. This is becoming pathetic. |
Re: Skins cowboys postgame
It just seems like the team isn't really playing as hard for MS anymore, Idk maybe they have lost the team meaning the staff. It sure looks like it

Panda can be the Captain. Now we just have to designate who's going to be part of the band playing on the way down. |

Ill be Kate Winslett and London Fletcher can be Leonardo DeCaprio; thanks for the memories, but it's time to let go, and watch him sink into retirement. |
Re: Skins cowboys postgame
People forget that Griffin has not yet had a normal NFL offseason. It is during such periods where you develop the comfort and wisdom not to stare people down, etc. Griffin is still maturing as a fine wine.

I won't argue with you too much on that, but the reason I put it in that order, is because when our OL gave him time, he was still screwing up, over throwing WRs and holding on to the ball too long. |

I'll play in the band. I stand my prediction of a berth in the NFC championship game. We're gonna go 8-3 the rest of the regular season. |
Re: Skins cowboys postgame
Josh Morgan....trash (overpaid)
Leonard Hankerson catches a 15 yard pass or two then completely goes Houdini Fred Davis....has he caught a pass all season?? Brian Orakpo..whats all the talk about DOY and the Deacon Jones award in the offseason..Please. Will he ever be a 15+ sacks type of player? |

Rak is a terrible Pass rusher and is no doubt a bust for his high draft pick Fred is gone as well |

True. This off season will be crucial for him. He may be learning a new offense but that's another story. However, there are too many things that aren't right with him. The holding the ball, not seeing the field and dead duck in- accurate passes...these are things that make me think he's never going to be Drew Brees back there. Some guys either have it or they don't. If I'm Redskins management, I'm holding on to Kurt Cousins. |

They obviously value wr's over O-linemen. |
Re: Skins cowboys postgame
Lets all slow the RG3 is a bust talk. Last yr we were all praising him like he was Elway. Now just because he's having a tough start he's a bum.
|
Re: Skins cowboys postgame
hopes were sky high after last season but the $36m is a lot of money
|
Re: Skins cowboys postgame
My understanding of the bye week is that you only get one additional practice time on the field per league rules. So while we did have a bye week, "two weeks to prepare" can be a bit misleading.

Re: Skins cowboys postgame
D.Hall had another really good performance. He's playing solid ball this year.

And it's not like he's done anything this season, so there's zero tape on him this year for other teams to rate him on. I'd be surprised if he was tradeable, but hell, if you can somehow get a team to take Haynesworth then anything is possible. |
Re: Skins cowboys postgame
I was real proud of D. Hall last night (one of the few) and the D in general. Dez had....little success......nice

I've always felt Rak was a great athlete, okay linebacker. I, too, think he's history at the end of the season.

Skins cowboys postgame
After a nite to reflect:
Good: griffin on the run - looked like he had a burst and was getting out of bounds when he had to D-hall, and really the d in general Rocca looked good Bad: garcon got schooled Rg-3's accuracy Edit: how could i forget clock management - just God awful Playcalling was out of a comic book, mainly the all time headscratcher of a decision to abandon the no huddle against a very thin d front that was on its heels with Ware in the game - the first drive when they were not winded! Redzone offense Penalties/ discipline |
