Re: Mike Shanahan was Ready to Leave Washington after 2012 Season
I really hope he is gone tomorrow after this latest leak. I'm sure someone from his camp is responsible for the leak. Reid hit the nail on the head - Shanahan, and only Shanahan owns his pathetic record here. But for the 7 game winning streak last year, this team has been a bottom dweller during his tenure.

2009 all over again....yay!!!

The Texans right now are in a situation similar to us in 09. The Redskins...are in uncharted waters. We have not been this bad since the merger.

So, why is it that Kyle wanted out? Because of conflict of interest with his dad? Because he thinks Robert is unable to be coached? What's his issue with Snyder? |

Wait...wait. Whoa...whoa... Why is Snyder wanting to meet with the offensive coordinator? I thought that jackass was going to stay away from the football operations. Who else on the staff could undermine Kyle? The only person capable of doing that is Mike and Bruce. If it were some WR/QB coach, couldn't daddy fire them? Kyle should have made himself a "out" clause in case of crap like this. Didn't he just sign a new contract this past year? I seriously doubt he got a 5 year deal with daddy. |

Re: Mike Shanahan was Ready to Leave Washington after 2012 Season
^ There are some coaches on that staff that have been with Mike for years and could question Mike about some of Kyle's calls.
|
After thinking about it , how can we fire mike tomorrow and not Kyle? I don't.see us letting our hc and playcaller both go with 3 games left

I could see it with guys that actually knows something about football. (Mike Brown/Jerry Richardson/etc) But Dan? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA |

...and Dan knows something about offense? I must have been away when Dan played or coached football. I'd be willing to bet some of you Madden players know more about the actual game than he does. If I spend 800 million on a company that you had no clue about it's product, I can guarantee you that I wouldn't be meeting with anybody about anything better said product. I'd be hiring people that did know about said product and have them run it. |

Not trying to be a Snyder apologist AT ALL but we have to get this past this notion that all team owners other than Snyder have no interaction with the coaching staff or players. While some owners have more respect for the structure and hierarchy we can't get all up in arms because the owner wants to have a meeting. |

I didn't say Snyder wanted to meet to discuss game plans. He wanted to meet with him, just like any good boss wants to meet with key staff people. What's going on, what do you need, how can I help? Kyle said he didn't have time for that. |

I'm not sure Snyder is telling him you need to do this or do that, but I do see why an owner would want to meet with the individuals he put in charge when they are obviously failing. |

Well he obviously hasn't been spending his time making his offense look respectable so I wonder why he didn't have time to meet with his boss. I wish I had the balls to tell my boss I didn't have time for him. |

Well when Kyle gets fired he'll probably make.some good $$$ from it so I'm sure he doesn't care like the rest of us lol |
Re: Mike Shanahan was Ready to Leave Washington after 2012 Season
The same undermining that went on during the Turner, Spurrier, and Zorn regimes happened again....When Mike Shanahan arrived he made it a rule to his players to keep away from the owner....but Griffin III reportedly got close with Snyder and Shanahan didn't like it apparently.

Yea if I had signed a contract that guaranteed I would make a certain amount of money no matter what happened I might not care as much either. |
Re: Mike Shanahan was Ready to Leave Washington after 2012 Season
Kyle comes across as a young know it all punk and then makes Snyder look bad.
|
Re: Mike Shanahan was Ready to Leave Washington after 2012 Season
It's all coming together now.
Mike "leaks" information the past 3 weeks intentionally to make Snyder look like the bad guy and cloud everything over his shitty performance in Washington. While in attempt to get the job in Houston and bring his Son(maybe) with him? Haha.. No wonder Snyder and Bruce Allen just left Washington after the game. Must of been 8 hours in that room talking about the new direction. |
