I am [B]TIRED![/B] Of trying to get a peek at the score of any given game when I'm not watching from minute to minute and the score isn't on the screen for something like 2 minutes. I can understand it during a commercial break but my God when there are no commercials show the freaking score.

I guess when they came back from the Devin Hester record setting TD they showed the crowd cheering and Hester acknowledging them for like a minute, then they showed Deion at the game, as well as Billy 'White Shoes/Shirt' Johnson dancing then back to Hester. About 20 seconds later the Falcons kicked off and they finally showed the score as 35-0 at the time.

I just wanted to get a quick look at the score and get back to some things I was taking care of. FML

At the time in question I was away from my 4 computers and my phone. About 1 minute in I was thinking 'I really want to check online now but I'm way to invested in getting the damn TV to show me the score.' 1 minute later I had it.

I have alot of respect for Joe Gibbs but one of the things i remembered was when he had his press conference a few days before the game - and he stated that playing the patriots was the biggest challenge of his career - i knew we were really screwed but i had just hoped the beating was not humiliating. unfortunately it was. i believe both backup QB's for the patriots ran and threw for TD's. Although one thing i still remember was Hoody still calling for passing plays late in the 4th quarter when the game had been over basically since kickoff...

Jason HERP DERP Cambell with 3 fumbles that game. I'm so glad that clown is gone, and I wished the fans that continued to make excuses for him would have gone as well.

Okay back to current football. I hope people realize that the Bucs are THAT bad. I think Atlanta has a good team, but I'm sure a lot of people are going to overreact to this beating.

Unless things drastically change, I think Carolina may take the NFC South.

yes and gibbs afterwards didnt utter or even imply one bad word about the pats. he said it was on us to stop them. i was mad at the time but when gibbs said that it changed my perspective. you just got your tail whipped, you dont go blaming and pointing fingers at the other team, this is the nfl, you point the finger at where it belongs .. on yourself.

Giants OC Ben McAdoo said whatever they get from Odell Beckham (hamstring) this season "will be a good bonus."

Not exactly what most teams, [I][U]especially bad ones like the Giants[/U][/I], expect from No. 12 overall picks. Beckham hasn't practiced fully in nearly three months, as he's been painfully slow to recover from a pulled hamstring. When Beckham does return, he's going to have some serious depth chart climbing to do.

Shit hitting the fan after Godell presser. That was an ugly press conference.
The worst moment IMO when one of the reporters asked Godell, "How is that one phone call from us got us the elevator video. You have a team of lawyers and staff and nobody could get teh video?"
His reply was awful. It was combative and wrong.
That was ugly.

I was in favor of Godell keeping his job, but after seeing that joke of a press conference today IMO it is time for him to leave. That was awful. The beginning of the presser Godell read his prepared speech and it was fine. But once the Q&A started Goodell lost it.
Goodell's smirk and cocky response to TMZ reporter was bad. Does Godell not get it? What an arrogant response.
Then once Goddell was challenged more on why the NFL did not get the elevator film, he started again with the ridiculous excuses and lies.
The crap about how the NFL only gets its investigation information from law enforcement. BULLSHIT!
The NFL office participated in the cover up. When I say cover up I am not talking about denying or covering up the crime, I am talking about trying to minimizing the crime, minimize the punishment and protect the brand. That is what they did wrong and refuse to admit it.

Yeah I felt pretty much the same way. Though I haven't seen the presser yet pretty much everyone has cited it as being painful to watch at best.

Personally I'm not one to root for people to loose there jobs but given his salary was something like $40 million I have a feeling he'll manage. Then again this was his dream job so for Goodell its probably about more than the money.

No doubt about that. In regards to Goodell, the guy was already leaning towards making a bad decision. The Ravens brass banging the table in favor of Rice was the ever so slight push needed to seal the horrid initial 2 game suspension.

Still you can't have it both ways. You can't talk about during the pre-draft process how teams have these super elite private detectives that know everything about players and at the same time claim you never saw the tape, or at least didn't hear about it. Do think Goodell and the NFL office should just take the word of the accused and the team that benefits from not suspending the accused?
Even if they misled Goodell and NFL, it is the job and responsibility of the Goodell/NFL to perform a thorough investigation and not rely on the WORD of others. Of course RIce and Ravens are going to try and protect their own. I almost expect that. But for the League office to do the same is a crime. Goodell screwed the pooch. As more sponsors drop out, the NFL will realize it.

First that press conference was just so so so painful to watch. I shut it off after 5 minutes. Goodell needed to come out with at least one definitive action. This is why I think he should have held a press conference to announce that Rice was being banned indefinitely. He would have gotten some Silver-like respect if he stood in front of a podium and said "Ray Rice is done"

Second, because of my career I've always been more aware I suppose than most of what happens behind closed doors and have heard many stories that would make people cringe (no fixing of games for those of you who want to start threads about that). It's all part of running a multi-billion operation I tell myself. You want the steak, might as well see how they kill the cow.

But I've never seen anything like this. Ever. If Harbaugh actually pushed for them to release Rice and company, good for him and he should be allowed to move on from that toxic situation somewhere else. Cass, who's been a major player in NFL circles for years should be immediately relieved of his duties and "forced" back to his 8 figure partner salary at his old law firm. The Ravens should be docked money and draft picks. Newsome should be suspended for I don't know, 1 year. And Bisciotti the same. That's 1 year minimum.

What sponsors have dropped out? I've seen a few take advantage of the situation to get some good PR by wagging their finger at the NFL, but has anyone actually pulled out?
