I'm really hoping we go pass rusher in the draft this year at #5. Hopefully can have the partnership Kerrigan/Orakpo never seemed to offer.
I think we're all dreaming of Leonard Williams at #5. Imagine lining him and Kerrigan on the same side.

At #5 id gladly take Williams, Gregory, BPA secondary player, BPA tackle.

I could live with any of those 4 picks. I think Williams is a fantasy, but Randy Gregory could still be there.

I have NO issues with what KC said. Does anyone really think Griffin should be anointed the starter going into the offseason?

Rak is gone. His career here is over.

If Williams is gone, trade down a few spots and take BPA, Scherff will be a good pick for whoever gets him.

Need to focus on our lines for AWHILE!

NO he shouldn't. Should be open competition and I'm confident Cousins would win the starting job given the chance. Just my opinion.

Also, we need to take Williams or Gregory if they are there at 5.

Here's an interesting article comparing the current 49er GM (Baalke) vs the previous (McCloughan) and their draft picks and FA moves in 5 years for each of them. McCloughan is currently retired (fairly young guy).
We have the three stooges at QB now...
I know this entirely subjective. But the Gruden offense just looked better under Cousins, ran smoother, ball got out on a pass more in time.

If Cousins could rein in the INTs, he'd be our #1 QB for sure. Unless we could bring back the Shanahan R/O run and R/O pass system from 2012.

That is not a terribly difficult schedule by any means. This team right now would have 3-5 wins though no matter who was on it.
What exactly did you expect from Colt?
I thought maybe in Jay's offense he could excel. He had a couple first halfs in games that were borderline our worst QB play of the year. Which is saying alot.

Sometimes a change of scenery does wonders for QB; clearly he isnt the answer as a starter going forward.

Hells no.

Cousins has hit his ceiling and it is not good enough.

Griffin can get better, although we might ship him anyway so that he can ignore another team's coach's advice.

Time for a QB housecleaning.

Re: All things off season 2015.

Griffin just needs to get his confidence back. Drop back and let that baby rip!!! Fire that fuc*ing pigskin!!

I think he'll be a lot better next year. Especially if the o-line gets beefed up with some real fatboys.

I want him to be the QB next year, preferably by outplaying anyone else on the roster by a wide margin in off season workouts/pre-season.

I'd be more open to trading Cousins.

I want to see midget face bounce though, for reals

How do you know Cousins has hit his ceiling. If he can stop throwing picks, he could be a really good QB. What makes you think Griffin can become a pocket passer?

Cousins is the same guy he was at Mich. St. That's why I said he has hit his ceiling.

He is a pretty tall guy, so hitting his ceiling isn't unfeasible at all.

What QB in the NFL hits their ceiling after playing less than half a season? LOL. He still has more passing yards, more td passes, more passes over 20 yards, they have about the same pass attempts yet Griffin has been sacked way more. Sorry but KC shows MUCH more upside than Griffin and the numbers show it. KC just needs to cut down his turnovers which he can do, and also show better body language/mental toughness. Those things seem more coachable over a lack of field vision, holding the ball, taking sacks and throwing late. If I have to cut bait with one, Griffin is packing his bags and I'm moving on from the drama.

Gruden basically said in his press conference that competition would only be between two QB's and he'd like to make a decision quickly. But it did sound like that's where it's going. I think it's between McCoy and Griffin as they seem to love McCoy's noodle arm. I also think KC will be traded to Cleveland.

I have this gut feeling its going to be between Kirk and RG3. Or Colt and Kirk

I wonder if there is anyway that we could hire Marc Trestman as our QB coach. Apparently he's a "Quarterback Whisperer." I'm not sure he would be willing to settle for that much of a demotion though.

It's not going to matter who they hire because Dan Snyder is going to tell Gruden who to start...it's that simple. All that "best player for the job" is BS. Until Dan and Bruce are ready to move on from RG3, It's RG3's job, period...
