Re: NFL Free Agents Signings

Not sure why Chip Kelly is trading for Bradford. Maybe he's using this for ammunition to make a deal with the Jets on draft day.

Re: NFL Free Agents Signings

Cooley just said that the Titans could have told philly that they didn't like Foles but they do like Bradford so go get him and we can talk.

If chipper does like Bradford does that kill our chances of trading out of 5, I thought the Eagles were the last hope on that front.

Re: NFL Free Agents Signings

If Mariota is still there at five we will definitely get a couple calls, Philly or not.

lol....Is Chip Kelly hoping to package Bradford to move up in the draft? Little lost, because he doesnt seem like a fit.

I think Foles was bad in Chip's offense, but can be a serious baller in the right system.

How Chip Kelly's mind works:

"I hate Foles sooo much. He clearly is not the QB with whom I can build my dynasty. The only QB who can do that for me is Sam Bradford. I must have him!! But that would be a $13M cap hit. I know! I'll trade Shady and dump his big cap number to make room for Bradford!"

If Chip traded Foles and a pick so that he could later trade Bradford and a pick to move into the top picks to get Mariota, I will laugh and laugh.

You will be enjoying a good laugh, then. This trade couldn't be much more transparent. Rumor is that Chip tried to send Foles to Tenn as part of a deal to get the #2 draft pick which he would use to take you-know-who. Tenn said "We don't want Foles. Go get Bradford and we can talk about trading you the #2 pick with you including him as part of the deal". Look for Philly to move up to #2.

Alvin Walton 03-10-2015 05:59 PM

Re: NFL Free Agents Signings

If they move to #2 then they will have to deal more than Bradford to get it.
That means Mortgage Your Future City.
I'm licking my chops hoping they fuxxxor their future for a few years.

Especially for Mariota, who IMO is not gonna be that great in the NFL. No experience reading defenses, for example.

Yes, indeed, they will certainly have to pay through the nose for the #2 pick. It's turning out to be a lovely day, isn't it?

Chip should probably start looking for his next college job now.

Re: NFL Free Agents Signings

Bradford is highly talented guy but he's going to have to be able to run a little bit in Kelly's offense. You just gave away your borderline NFL MVP QB in 2013 for a guy who gets hurt when you blow on him. I give the Rams a W on this trade.

Chip Kelly is really digging himself a serious hole. Can't imagine how the Philly fans will be if he gets out of the gate slow. Not going to be pretty.

Their many young players have been developing. Plus they have struggled at QB. The Foles trade may somewhat solve this last part and make the Rams a contender this year.

Re: NFL Free Agents Signings

I think with Foles there they get out of the basement of the NFC West. That's now reserved for SF. Just not sure they have enough on offense to move past Seattle or Arizona. But I really like Tre Mason. He's going to be a beast for them next year. Rams are real close.

So ... CK has lost D.Jax, Shady, Maclin & Foles and gotten a potentially excellent ILB and Sam Bradford.

I am good with that.

They are not as bad as you make them put to be, they play in the toughest division the NFL:

1) Seattle
2) Cardinals
3) 49ers
4) Rams

This Philly business gives me the feelings of the Redskins of bygone seasons. It's a great feeling to have it about a rival and not your own team.

I feel like maybe kelly is just trolling the entire league. Ni wonder he and roseman were at odds. I can imagine the first meeting this off-season where Chip said "here is my master plan" roseman probably wanted to fire him.
