Re: NFL Training Camp thread!
Jameis Winston looks great. Damn, must feel gud to have a franchise qb.
Just look at our deal for rg3...got fleeced and set our franchise back so far. |

lol...no not yet. But he is already a better pocket passer than RG3 period. |

Mariotta looks better; but both the Bucs and Titans don't have much around their young QBs. Bucs do have a nice set of wideouts, but their o-line makes ours look like the Cowpukes. Titans don't have any significant skills players around Mariotta. After seeing Seattle's rise, I think teams have it wrong by bringing in a top rookie QB and put them around a mediocre team. I want McCloughan to build up all aspects of the team; and then bring a QB. If Seattle was able to get by for two years with a washed up Matt Hasselbeck, Tavaris Jackson, and Charlie Whitehurst; we can survive with what we have on the roster. Look how Russell Wilson turned out when you put a young QB around a good team. My hope is that we can get something like this with our team. |

Thats for all the folks complaining about our Oline. I agree. At this point we dont have a choice. |

I agree. At this point we dont have a choice.
What's keeping me somewhat sane is seeing Seattle's QB play in 2010 and 2011. I hope we (ownership/fans) have the patience to deal with something like this while McClouhan builds the whole team. This is why I really don't put much time into RG3 or Cousins. The Shanahan years were a big waste and we're in year one of a true rebuilding process. A year or two from now, I believe McC will have cleaned up the roster (and maybe the coaches..who knows) and hopefully we can be a poor man's Seattle. |

Michael Vick is a bad guy.....but as far as I know he has kept his dog killing nose clean since he got out of.....stir. I personally am happy to see him get a chance.

Re: NFL Training Camp thread!
Wilson is a joke and he's a mediocre qb that only wins because of his great defense and run game. Nobody wants to say it but I do he's an avg passer that can move around a little to make a play here and there. Tony romo would have a ring with that team.
|
Re: NFL Training Camp thread!
Man, people complain about Tebow being an Evangelical nut... Wilson seems way worse.

Re: NFL Training Camp thread!
It appears Wilson's getting......paid

You guys just don't understand science. Recovery water has electrolytes in it, and they're what plants crave! BRB, going to buy some stock now.

Wilson has a ring and almost a second ,he is good and many, many teams would love to have him .:twocents: |

The Giants should trade for him; they need a QB. But seriously, folks, he was severely underrated when he was drafted. The only thing he lacked was height. He reminded me of Drew Brees at the time. He is a very good NFL QB. |

The Eagles look really good. Scary good.

Re: NFL Training Camp thread!
If sam stays healthy they win 11 games easy and the east.

Re: NFL Training Camp thread!
I am camping so I'm not seeing any highlights or any games. I'm just looking up stats on my phone and the Cowboys secondary must be worse than ours. Minnesota's four quarterbacks combined completed 22 of 25 passes

Thing is they want to win preseason ,most teams just use it to get their teams settle for the real season, the real long season. |

Tom Brady defeats Deflategate, showing that if you complain enough about a rule you don't care to follow, you get your way.

Or, if you don't have any real evidence then don't spend millions of dollars investigating something so petty. Should have just sent out a mandate to all teams w/ a warning. The NFL has egg on their faces in a big way. LOL. |

Pats were repeat offenders, but whatever. NFL is a successful league and all of us are hooked on it. Who cares about this or the people that complain that Goodell is "driving the league into the ground". Had this happened to Cleveland or even our team, the NFL penalty would have stayed. Anyway, until the next time that the Pats do something questionable and think it is not a big deal. |
Re: NFL Training Camp thread!
wow.
seems very ryan braun. technically they cant suspend you for deflating the balls in the colts game bc there is no evidence directly linking you to that game .. despite the fact that the texts and what not provide enough circumstantial evidence that you have been deflating balls for a long time. particularly that game against the Jets when the jets were watching your ball boy very closely and he couldnt do it and you bitched and moaned about the balls afterwards. |

I'm not surprised by the ruling. Did anybody think Tom was going to serve any punishment? |
I figured it'd be reduced. It's funny that Goodell pretty much swept Spygate under the rug (by destroying the tapes) and now he gets this from this team again. |
