A pro-bowling starter for 6 seasons with us was a bust?
He was what the 11th pick? Or something like that. Yes bust in my eyes he only had 1 really good yr. |
Re: Around the NFL- Week 8
Damn looking ahead on the schedule the only game i think we have a chance of winning is in 4 weeks against the giants, and thats def not a given
We'll finish with 6 or 7 wins like most of us thought. Unfortunately next week will not be one of those wins lol |

He was a very good starter in 2009. He was a very good starter in 2010. He was a very good starter in 2011. He was on IR almost all of 2012. He was a very good starter in 2013. He was a good starter but missed half the season in 2014. Orakpo was not a bust. Even most great players aren't Darrel Green or Art Monk or Russ Grimm with careers spanning over a decade. According to NFL ownership, the average NFL career is 6 years, according to the NFLPA 3.3 years. And we can go over his stats if you want, but I guarantee you Orakpo was a lot better than average. |

Denver's D looks fierce.

Anyone else want to wrangle a trade of Joe Barry for Wade Phillips? Wouldn't it be nice?

Pretty sure that was undrafted FA Lael Collins |

I know our secondary has done better than expected, but Denver's secondary by itself can improve any defense. Not to take anything away from Wade, but that defense is loaded and any good defensive coordinator can win with that roster. |
Re: Around the NFL- Week 8
Denver's defense is for real. Solid FA singings by Elway w/ Ward, Talib and Ware.

Five trades that should, but won't, happen - NFL The interesting thing is that the Jets right now are DESPERATE for a QB with Fitzmagic and Geno Smith injured. I wonder if Scot could make a deal with them. Also, the Megatron to Carolina trade makes a ton of sense. If I'm Carolina, I'd be concerned about Megatron's health; but a banged up Johnson is probably better than Ted Ginn Jr. and the ghost of Jericho Cotchery. |

Every week we watch a few players in college or the NFL slip on slippery tarmac when their momentum carries them past the benches. I think we'd be more likely to get a draft pick from the Jets. I think the Chiefs are going to want to get a draft pick for Daniel. |

I just want the ability to choose his destination. Anything after that is gravy to me. |

Get value and worry about our roster. Not someone else's. If he is not good enough to keep, he isn't good enough to worry about. We shouldn't concern ourselves with where he ends up as much as what we can get for him. We will probably end up releasing him anyway because the huge cap number will prevent a trade. |
Re: Around the NFL- Week 8
He'll be in Dallas next year. Guaranteed. Some shit like that always happens to us. :P
No matter what, he will stay in the NFCE. I can feel it. |

Re: Around the NFL- Week 8
Luck is turrible
Wildly inconsistent. Looks good for one game, comes out and stinks the next one up. Accuracy has been a problem too missing open receivers. Stared down the receiver on the 1st quarter interception instead of just sailing it out of bounds and punting. I'm not sold this guy is Indy's QB of the future. He needs to string some good games together to prove he should be back next year. He can't be making the same mistakes he was making year one. Golly gee whiz. |
Re: Around the NFL- Week 8
Luck is turrible
He's so bad the colts should trade him to the Redskins for RGIII. I wish. |
Re: Around the NFL- Week 8
Luck has went backwards this yr but he will be ok, his line is not very good and its showing.

From Ian Rappaport @RapSheet: #49ers players were split on Colin Kaepernick & the brass stayed with him as long as it could. Benched now (@Kyle_McLorgBASG 1st reported)

It was past time. He's not a QB in the nfl same as rg3. They can't make the throws consistently
Is there a new offensive coordinator? Is Luck playing hurt? What's happening?
I think he has super star potential mixed with a terrible team and a knack for turning the ball over. The type of guy that has to have talent all around him so that the potential outweighs the bad habits. Only time will tell if the Colts are smart enough to do such things. |
Re: Around the NFL- Week 8
They need to pull Luck off the field. He doesn't look right.

If he's hurt, just sit him. Hasslebeck isn't a cassell/weedon situation, he can win games |

49ers officially benching Kaep for Gabbert.

Re: Around the NFL- Week 8
Cam is playing like shit too. Dude has a 74 QB rating tonight. His passes are too inconsistent. 4-14 on 3rd down conversion isn't going to cut it.
