Re: Around the NFL Week 1!
A buddy of mine, who is also a Redskins fan, is now following the Browns. He has no interest in the Redskins, he would rather talk about the Browns or RG3. I asked him about today's game and he said they have some work to do.

Re: Around the NFL Week 1!
Morris looks better than Elliot in this game...
|
Re: Around the NFL Week 1!
Dak is averaging 5.8 yards per attempt...that should tell you a lot. Check down, short routes. I'm just not impressed as others.
And Alfmo is a tougher runner than zeke...and it's not close. Zeke is avg 2.7 ypc...that should tell you a lot . |

That's simply pathetic IMO |
Re: Around the NFL Week 1!
Terrible deep throw by dak

Re: Around the NFL Week 1!
Lololololol man those Cowboys are a smart team.
Dak throws for 5.2 yards per attempt....check down king 2.5 yards per carry for zeke...wow. Behind that Oline? Wow talk about hyped garbage debut. Lotta those folks that talked up these hyped rookies got some splainin to do |
Re: Around the NFL Week 1!
The Giants defense knew what was coming almost every play and still made it a close game.
|
Re: Around the NFL Week 1!
I don't think Dak looked bad, but I think our team should be better than both those teams based on how they played. The Skins can make a big statement if they beat the Steelers.
|
Re: Around the NFL Week 1!
lol at Indianapolis on the last kickoff
|
Re: Around the NFL Week 1!
Dez Bryant....1 catch
Elliot had 51 yards, not too bad for a rookie. Dak Prescott played ok and with decent composure for a rookie. Either way I'm not a whole lot impressed. I think we'll own them.... |
Re: Around the NFL Week 1!
I'm a little scared that Cruz and Shepard looked good in their first game. Sure, it's against Dallas - but if it holds up, that could give the Giants a potentially lethal pass offense with Beckham, Cruz, and Shepard (who also looked good). The Redskins have one of the best WR depth in the league, but the Giants top three are relatively young and will be there for a long time (beckham 23, shepard 23, cruz 29).

We got the DB's to neutralize them. |

Dak looked good and very poised, stats dont always tell the story.Dez had a terrible game and I don't expect that to happen two weeks in a row so I would be very scared of him for next week. Same goes for the running game.Morris will want to impress and Zeke will probably not have 2 bad games in a row. |
Re: Around the NFL Week 1!
lol Cowboyszone fans blaming the stadium design. One guy posted the orientation of every NFL stadium in relation to the sun.
Dak played ok, he threw high a lot. If he keeps doing that he's gonna either get his receivers killed or throw a bunch of int's. I imagine there running game will be better against our DLine, but I think Dak may have his welcome to the NFL moment against our secondary. |

I agree, they should have played Morris more. Morris behind that line and decent QB would a good offense. |

Re: Around the NFL Week 1!
Rodney Harrison " giants are my favorite" last week "giants have too many holes"
lol that dude is a joke |

Noticed this too. He was leading his receivers into contact. It looked like some of his receivers were getting alligator arms. |
Re: Around the NFL Week 1!
Cardinals simply just gave this game away.
|
Re: Around the NFL Week 1!
Is it a home game for NE or did their bandwagon spread that far? It is LOUD with Pats fans.
|
Re: Around the NFL Week 1!
No gronk p, no Brady on the road vs what some are calling the sb reps of the NFC.....and have no problem. Cards too soft again.
|

You are so right! The Cards got beat because the Pats played harder than they did. There's no excuse for that. If the Cards want to have a great season, they must play with more fire than they did last night. |
Re: Around the NFL Week 1!
Dak played a solid game for a rookie QB. He showed a lot of poise.
But he threw high a lot which is dangerous and the passing game that was called for him was limited. Although Troy Aikman complimented Dak for his arm strength, I didn't see it. Dak put too much air under his sideline throws and his deeper passes (which were few). That is going to cost him in future games. To win with Dak, Dallas is going to have to run the ball better than they did last night. |
Re: Around the NFL Week 1!
I definitely overreacted to Dak's first drive. I was just hoping he came out looking like shit. :)
After watching a good portion of the game, he WAS Captain Check-down. Do I think he'll be terrible? Nah. He might end up being a solid starter for them, but man, his intermediate to deep accuracy was not great. If he can work it out doing those short passes, then good for them. Elliott also surprised me. Did NOT look good. Ran hard, but seemed to lack vision. Also, where was Dez?! |

Big time. BB is an all time great. Look what happens to teams like the Colts when Manning was the qb and got hurt, or if Brees or Rodgers go down. Not the Pats - they go 11-5 with Cassell. Where is he now? They go into Arizona and win with Garapolo on opening night prime time when the house was rocking. |

Wonder how many picks the Pats will get when they trade Garropolo?

Re: Around the NFL Week 1!
Breaking news, RG3 broke his shoulder, put on IR by the Browns.
Wow, so glad we don't have this injury prone guy anymore. If you are playing Fantasy Football, try to stream which ever defense is playing the Browns every week. They are a dumpster fire. |
Re: Around the NFL Week 1!
Thank you to Jeff Fisher and the Rams for making our blow out loss easier to deal with.
We lost to a SB contender with an elite QB and the best WR in football. Fisher and the Rams are being shutout by Blaine Gabbert and the 49ers (28-0 in the 4th quarter). Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920A using Tapatalk |

Yeah, thankfully we weren't LA Rams bad. I guess it's time to give Jeff Fisher another contract extension.
