Re: 'No doubt about it,' Redskins need to upgrade at running back
Bruce can only draft top 20 talent.
The rest of his late round picks sucks. not one second round pick has worked out since he's been here. Please no trading back.
I would recommend revisiting your thinking, I've listed the last 5 drafts several times in various threads. They all have been solid through the first 5 rounds. I don't think you can ask for better than that. 2nd's Ryan Anderson (2017) too early Sua Cravens (2016) Physical talent, head case, we will see Preston Smith (2015) He's a defensive starter Trent Murphy (2014) Defensive starter for 3 years and earned a nice FA contract David Amerson(2013) 2 year starter, 3 for Oakland |
Re: 'No doubt about it,' Redskins need to upgrade at running back
Please don't draft a running back in the first 2 rounds. Fix the lines before worry about skill spots.

Don't be surprised if they do, it's obviously a high priority for the team. |
Re: 'No doubt about it,' Redskins need to upgrade at running back
I have the exact opposite desire. Please DO draft a running back in the 1st 2 rounds. Give me a difference maker. We can find a starting guard in the fourth round.
1. DL/NT 2. RB 4. G Or if we sign Hankins, trade down and bump everyone else up a spot. (For both, in an ideal world where talent matches the pick) |
Re: 'No doubt about it,' Redskins need to upgrade at running back
Per Keim "Bruce and co. will have dinner with Guice and have a private workout"
It appears that Guice is the #1 player on our board, at least seems that way. I would love to get him.
So you somehow come to the conclusion that Guice is our #1 because they plan to sit down and work him out?? Teams do that with draft prospects this time of year all the time. You're becoming the worst poster on this site. |

I'll take the mantle for worst gameday poster lol. Beer and Skins losing, and I lose all my sensibilities. But man, winning is sweet.

Lol. The first step to recovery is admitting you have a problem. I would be better off not touching my phone during the games. |
Re: 'No doubt about it,' Redskins need to upgrade at running back
Would you be upset if they dropped back to around 23, then missed him because they dropped back to get some an extra pick?
I wouldn't but I do want Guice bad. I think he will make it to 20 bo problem but then again no one thought that Dalvin Cook would make it to 40 last year so you really never know. |

To build through the draft, you need to draft good players and resign/keep them! Out of curiosity, how would you rate Perines draft value? Considering the title of this thread, I think he was a wasted pick. |

The players rhat were selected are still having success in the NFL talentwise. So that was wrong. I could have done 3rd and 4th rounds to prove you even more wrong. The Skins drafts have been talent filled for the past 6 years. As for Perrine, he is no Kareem hunt but he isn't Trent Richardson either 31 other teams picked in the 2nd round some shined some are off their teams active squads and most are still figuring out NFL speed. That's why you don't grade drafts for 3 years. And Allen's 3-6 year draft record talent wise is damn good. |

I want to see what Perine does behind a healthier offensive line this year. There's hope for him yet, but having said that, I do hope the 'skins upgrade that position. |

Yeah, I won't be surprised if they do. I'm just hoping they don't. |
Re: 'No doubt about it,' Redskins need to upgrade at running back
If CJ Anderson is cut by Denver he would be a solid FA target. He's still under contract, so the Skins could consider trading for him so they wouldn't miss on him in FA.

Cravens for Anderson? RB for DB worked out before :) |

I was thinking more along the lines of a future 7th round pick for Anderson. |
Re: 'No doubt about it,' Redskins need to upgrade at running back
Cravens for a pastrami sandwich and a 6th rounder and its a deal. I don't want anyone elses retread running back. Get Guice, Michel, Penny, Chubb, or Ronald Jones.

He ran for 1000+ yds last year and is 27. |

Yeah but does he scare a defense? IDK. Perine is as good as he is IMO, or lets just say he will be a CJ Anderson type if he was given that opportunity. |

There you go again! Perine is from OU, so you have some type of Sooner tunnel vision that causes you to over-estimate him. |

LOL Maybe that is it but hey even Rob Kelley was a good back for a few games, I'm just saying it would be great to get a back that can take it to the house from anywhere. |

Perrine is a good # 2 and goalline back, Thompson is an amazing 3rd down back. We get a stud in the 1st or 2nd round the unit goes from weakness to a strength. |

When Alex has a good run game he really excels, like most QB's do but it seems to be more important with Smith. |
