And I just heard Shawne Merriman on ESPN state the Cowboys still have the best chance to win the East.

Fuck these haters
Can you blame them for believing that? We're 6-3 with a two game lead within the division. But lets be real for a second. We don't have a good team. Our offense is trash. We was trash on offense before the injuries started piling up. Our defense is good, but definitely not great. Outside of the front three and our safeties. There is nothing special about our defense. Our coaches are average at best. The Cowboys and Eagles look like better teams.

Sorry but we do have a good team. Good enough to be 6-3. We don't have to apologize for that.

Getting tired of fans crapping on the coaches too. With all the injuries piling up and to be 6-3 you have to tip your hat to them for holding it together. Especially with the OL issues.

Mason Foster and ZB are 2 of the best LBers in football.

Maybe I am drinking too much kool-aid lately but when I look at the Dallas and Philly schedule I just don't see a for sure 9-7 record. Both have to go 5-2 in their last seven that is a tall order for any team. The Skins to get the same mark only have to go 3-4.

Dunbar , TW and Hopkins are all Questionable.
Mason Foster and ZB are 2 of the best LBers in football.
Yeah it's ridiculous how under rated some of our guys are... Mason is one of them. Norman is another IMO. Take away the PI on Julio and he's been borderline perfect since the Saints game. Don't have a link cause I heard it on Cooley's podcast but against TB I think he gave up something like 1 completion on 4 targets and had the INT. ..

But yeah our defense is "not so good". So "not so good" that we are 6 and 3 with an offense that can't score 20 pts per game... this is ridiculous.

The reason why we are getting so much hate is because on national TV we were simply not competitive against the Saints. Not competitive against Atl and they just lost to the Browns. Loss at home against the Colts. We have 3 really bad losses. Tampa rolled up 500 yards and we were under 300 w/ 16 points, w/ the d getting 4 turnovers against a terrible defense. Sorry but these are legit reasons. We're a weak 6-3 team. It is what it is folks.

As far as the coaching, it's pretty average and we all know that. It's not news that this is not considered a top staff.

NFL is a passing/offense driven league, so they are not going to care about a strong defensive team that runs the ball well. Plain and simple.

The Redskins could have a good run and finish with a strong 11-5 or 10-6 record, and they would still not give the team any credit, because it is not a popular team.

TW is a warrior, but I am not sure how I feel about him playing. I'd rather he come back 100% (or as close to it as possible) against the Pukes, as that is a far more important game for us.

Beating Dallas at home would silence some of the haters (but not all, of course).

I don't know if I buy that. Seattle had some really good teams running the ball. We need to show better against the best teams to get respect. That starts Sunday against a hot Texans team.

After the last 20 some odd years do you blame us/them? I mean it isn’t unreasonable to wish we had an owner who isn’t named Daniel Snyder - he has earned his disrespect mightily. Bruce Allen? Joke. Our team has been trashed twice. Our offense is not good and that was all year not just after the recent o line issues. Our defense SOMEHOW held Tampa to 3 points but come the fuck on they shot their foots right the fuck off - both of them. It is not unreasonable to wish we had a good team and in the weirdest of situations- outside of our record - it feels like we do not. You know contenders and pretenders stuff. So let the season play out.
It is also not unreal expectations to have addressed interior line - bringing lavaou back as a starter is not reasonable. Lol. At what point is it reasonable to want to compete for real?

The type of injury he has, he can't breathe without pain much less block rushers, and take hits. He would not be effective injured.

He is plenty tough coming back from the injury he had last year.

Im always hesitant to say stuff like this on here, but that's just a stupid ass comment. Contributes nothing.

For all the doubters, yes the Redskins strength is the D. We will beat Houston, Dallas and Philly, it won’t be easy, but we will be getting healthier. After 2 blowouts on D, I think they’ve learned their lesson and will play better. The O has no way but to improve.

Totally agree, with injured ribs just doing light duties suck, a cough, sneeze or deep breath hurts quite a bit. There isn't any treatment other than taking it easy, they will never heal without rest.

Should I believe what our record says we are or should I believe the Skins-hating Talking Heads in the Media and the curmudgeons on this site who say we're really not any good? I'll believe our 6-3 record because that constitutes proof that we can win and the other noise is simply revisionist bullshit.

Enough with that.

Did the Buccaneers make a diving interception with great underneath and deep zone coverage on the play?

Did the Buccaneers come up with a game plan to play soft bend don't break defense and execute it to perfection?

Did the Buccaneers jump a route and pick another ball?

Did the Buccaneers punch the ball out of the end zone?

Did the Buccaneers strip sack Fitzpatrick late in the game?

Ok they helped us allowing only 3 points by missing two field goals, but teams make errors all the time (heck we should know that: the Skins have been on the other side of those costly mistakes for years!) and allowing 9 points to the top passing offense in the league would have been pretty darn impressive too.

The Bucs average 25.8 pts per game, and scored 48 on the Saints, 27 on the Eagles, 27 on the Steelers, 29 on the Falcons, 23 on the Browns, 34 on the Bengals and 28 on the Panthers.
Before facing us they averaged 28.25 pts per game, their lowest score being 10 against the Bears.
Rib injuries are no joke. Anyone questioning CT clearly has no idea how painful it can be.
I have unfortunately collected many injuries through my life, playing football and boxing through college, crashing motorcycles, having bad luck and just being plain reckless as a youth. By the age of 19 I had already had skull, neck, and back fractures. At 24 I broke a wrist and collarbone, at 30 I broke my ankle. Those are injuries comparable to what happens to a lot of NFL players. I am tougher than most people, but could not imagine trying to play tackle football with the injuries some fans expect players to play through.

I am guessing some of the adults I have seen scream or cry after being stung by a hornet are hiding behind a keyboard wanting CT to play in an NFL game with broken ribs, when if they had his pain they would not even get out of bed.

Sorry, end of rant.

We did force some turnovers which was great. But still the Bucs was in the redzone 5 times. The only difference between the Bucs game and the Saints and Falcons games were the turnovers. If it wasn't for those lucky turnovers we would have got destroyed. Offense went up against the worse defense in the nfl and still couldn't score over 20 points. There is nothing at all impressive about this team. I don't care what any of you say. This team is not good. The stats show that are in the middle of the pack when it comes to defense. We are at the bottom of the league on the offensive side of the ball. Our coaches are below average. Nobody takes this team seriously even at 6-3.
