This sounds like the perfect storm for us. Reggie McKenzie is leaving the Oakland Raiders. There had been reports before the season that Bruce Allen could leave the Redskins and join Jon Gruden in Oakland. All kind of makes sense now. Now, there's an opening for Bruce Allen. This is probably why Jay Gruden won't be fired during the season, and may not be fired until Bruce Allen is gone. If I'm Bruce Allen, I don't want to fire Jay if I have a chance to join Jon. And trust me, Jon has a lot of power in Oakland, so Allen is going to want to make sure there's good will intact for when this all goes down. If I'm Dan Snyder, I see this as an opportunity to go ahead and let Bruce go to Oakland, promote Kyle Smith to interim GM, fire Gruden once the season is done, and get jump on things. |
J. Goff is going to finish with negative fantasy points. Play all season to lose in 1st round of playoffs because your QB turned into a little bitch. What a great year of real and fantasy football. FML.
Some people just can't handle playing in cold weather. Since I don't play fantasy football, I enjoyed watching an old school defensive struggle. I think the freezing temps helped slow that Rams high flying offense down as much as the Bear's defense. |
Re: Around the NFL Week 14
To see the 49ers and Raiders coming in with two wins, play hard and beat Denver and Pittsburgh who are fighting for a play-off spot really grinds my gears after the way the Redskins came out yesterday. How many teams have let something similar to a 4-8 division rival come in their house and be up 34-0 at halftime? I don't care who your QB is. Barkley ran through the Redskin defense like it was a bag drill. If I was Dan Snyder, Gruden would have been fired at halftime.

Malcolm Jenkins blast the refs yesterday which BTW were so one sided it was a joke. Yeah Dallas is the best team in the division nobody can deny that but there is no way u can say the NFL isn't helping them some. On the TD from Goedert not only was it not a OPI on him but he was also hit in the head by the defender! The dudes helmet damn near came off... NFL just come out and say u need Dallas to make the playoffs https://www.bleedinggreennation.com/2018/12/9/18133575/philadelphia-eagles-dallas-goedert-cowboys-worst-opi-call-ever-refs-video-screw-job-touchdown-pass |

That was some batshit crazy reffing right there. Clearly a fumble, only eagles players on the ball and an eagles player walks off the field with it. Yet Dallas kept the ball because no clear recovery. WTF??? I did see the "OPI" call on the TD late in the game. Again WTF??? The league may or may not be fixing games, but they sure as hell have impossibly poor officiating going on. |

The crazy thing is they called it a fumble, but no clear recovery. Like I said there were 3 eagles on top of it (no cowboys), and an eagle player walked away with it. Come on Man!!! |

Exactly, shit is rigged for dallas to win. I know I sound like a bitchy Dallas hater but nobody wanted to believe the NBA was rigging games until the refs got caught cheating. I know its hard to actually rig a game but u can definitely help decide the outcome with calls like that. Eagles get the ball in Dallas territory and go up 7-0 and things could have been different. But it is what it is. |

Oh STOP it PLEEEZZZZEEE! "Shit is rigged for Dallas to win". That one bad call, that was the reason why: 1. That's why Philly was flagged only 5 times for 49 yards. Yet Dallas was flagged 11 times for 111 yards? 2. That's why Philly created 3 Dallas turnovers and still lost. When is the last time The Eagles were +2 in turnover ratio and lost a game? Oh yeah, it was because of that blown call at the start of the game! 3. That is why Philly only had 48 offensive snaps and Dallas had 93, it was because of a bad call on the opening kickoff. 4. It was why Dallas nearly doubled Philly in total yards. 256 to 576. 5. It was why Dak Prescott threw for a career high 455 yards. Dude does not sniff a 300 yard game like ever. But he tosses a 4-double-nickel in one game? All because of a bad call to start the game. Eagles had more than their chances to take control and win yesterday. Dallas took the opening possession of OT for a TD and the win. Why don't they blame it on the OT coin toss? It was RIGGED for Dallas to get heads. Right? |

EXACTLY! RIGHT!?!?! That is not even counting the many over throws he has had to wide open receivers. Gallup has to be up every night. The guy torches the secondary and Dak over throws him EVERY TIME!!!!! Dak is a liability. I imagine what a guy like Wentz can do with a supporting cast like Daks? |

I've been here. I do not always post, but I do always read. Besides, when 4 of the top 6 threads on this board are titled "Dumpster Fire", "All I want for Christmas is a new Front Office", "Is the end near?" and "Time to clean house".....what can I say that has not already been said? If I said some of the same things Redskins fans on this forum are saying, this board would drop me like a safe. |

Re: Around the NFL Week 14
Sandjack-ass, you're again looking at the overall numbers of flags and yards, like last time this topic came up, and not considering, again, the impact of each call and the timing of the call. Some of the calls the cowgirls have gotten over the last 5 weeks have helped them to win. Twice in key games against the Saints 100% and again last night. Act like they wont make sure the numbers look good at the end of the game so narrow minded ppl and nut rider fans like you can tout it as being fair. lol.
Enjoy the bullshit while it lasts cuz your QB is fucking garbage and you'll choke on a dick in the playoffs, again. |

Because you cannot sit there and convince anyone that "the refs favor them" when it the fact is the Cowboys had more penalties assessed against them then their opponent. But yet, the officials 'favor them'. I am not saying the calls were missed, or even bad. At one time or another, every team has calls go with them, or, against them in every game each week. It happens. But I challenge you to prove to me, that any of these 'calls' you are complaining about had a direct outcome on the game? Did a missed fumble in the first 6 seconds of the game REALLY seal the fate of the Eagles? OR were there like, I don't know.....FOUR quarters left to play to decide that outcome. You have specific calls in mind, obviously. Show me where they decided or impacted the outcome of the game? Gauntlet = Tossed |

Gauntlet = Tossed
Lets start with the saints debacle, cuz thats my first real look at bullshit. The catch/non catch calls were ridiculously one sided. Especially when sticking with "the call on the field" .. then that "int" that sealed the game for the cowgirls that obviously hit the friggin ground, that was a direct influence on the outcome of the game. And when I mentioned the past 4 or weeks, it all started for me with our game against Houston. Blatantly robbing the skins at a chance for a game winning field goal, to keep the division closer.. we'd have been 7-3 .. Colt may have came out against Dallas and played much better with more confidence. My point is, as it was before, that the league is influencing certain games and division races the way they want. They know the NFCE is one of if not the biggest $$ making market in the league, and so that is a factor in considering the bullshit. Sure, they called that penalty on Zeke for lowering his head. Good call. They call a few here and there on a first and 10, nothing drive threatening or too damaging to your squad in the moment and on the overall scheme. Of course they want the numbers on their side, but its a VERY calculated way of doing it to give a normal fan and ppl like you this exact argument. Where the hell is my tinfoil hat??? |
Re: Around the NFL Week 14
As for last night? Look no further than that absolute JOKE of a ruling on the friggin opening kickoff, man. No clear recovery? Lolllllll riiiigghhhhtttt just 5 eagles players one of which emerges with the fucking ball. It's laughable man and your blue tinted glasses fog more than your vision, it's your judgement of fair competition as well.
Amari Cooper is looking like a really solid investment for the cowpukes.
Since #Cowboys acquired Amari Cooper prior to Week 9, they're 11th in yards gained per drive, 12th in points scored per drive, and 1st in time of possession. Without Cooper (Weeks 1-8), Dallas was 23rd in yards gained per drive, 27th in points per drive, and 8th in TOP. |

Re: Around the NFL Week 14
I don't think the NFL is rigged week in and week out but the NFL has stated that buying a ticket entitles the buyer to watch 2 NFL teams at that specified time and date. It does not guarantee pure contest, it guarantees a performance.
Sourced from another site In Meyer v. Belichick, New York Jets fan Carl J. Mayer sued Belichick and the Patriots for fraud, arguing that their actions related to SpyGate constituted a violation of their contractual obligation to give ticket purchasers "an honest match played in compliance with all laws, regulations and NFL rules." District Court dismissed the case, saying: "The plaintiff buys the ticket, of course, in order to see an event that is scheduled to occur on the ticket-seller's grounds, but the seller does not contract to provide the spectacle, only to license the plaintiff to enter and view whatever event transpire[s] .... Plaintiff's ticket was redeemed, and he was able to see whatever transpired at Giants Stadium on that date, in this case, a football game, and as a result, Plaintiff got exactly that for which he paid .... The actions of Defendants "at most, yielded a non-actionable loss of goodwill" and "[a]ny further grievance or disgruntlement on the part of Plaintiffs must be pursued, if at all, in the marketplace, through fan withdrawal of money and attendance at future . . . events." The Third Circuit Court of Appeals also dismissed the suit, stating: "Mayer undeniably saw football games played by two NFL teams. This therefore is not a case where, for example, the game or games were cancelled, strike replacement players were used, or the professional football teams themselves did something nonsensical or absurd, such as deciding to play basketball .... At least in this specific context, it is not the role of judges and juries to be second-guessing the decision taken by a professional sports league purportedly enforcing its own rules." |
