Re: Week 15 around the NFL

Man, that fucking Houston game and the non-PI call that ended the game is coming back to haunt us. We should be 8-6 right now, even with all the crap that has happened.

Just saw playoffs standing, we just slipped all the way to #8 after the Iggles win.

I know, I know, we'll probably lose the last two games and what not. It still pisses me off to see a game lost due to incompetent officiating.

Redskins control their own destiny, if they deserve it they’ll win out.

Looks like the NFL is catching up some to Mcvay's pass attack.

It's tough to keep up a high level of play over 16 games, the Rams were due for a speed bump or two
Looks like the NFL is catching up some to Mcvay's pass attack.
If your throwing the ball over 50 times like Goff did yesterday...that’s a big problem. Mcvay simply stopped running the ball...that’s why the rams lost.

Foles didn’t really have a great game but the eagles ran it 30 times...with not a ton of success but it was enough to control clock and bring up the safeties for Jeffery to make some big plays.

I would really like us this offseason to beef up the interior oline, identify a rotational (Perine and Kelly should be cut, they are garbage) RB (Peterson re-up or FA/draft RB) and grab a blocking TE....transition the offense to a running team.

MTK 12-17-2018 08:39 AM

Re: Week 15 around the NFL

Speaking of Perine why is he still here? I'd rather have Bibbs over him.

skinsfaninok 12-17-2018 08:41 AM

Re: Week 15 around the NFL

To win in the NFL you still need a good run game, yeah its a pass happy league but if you can run the ball and stop the run, you will be in every game for the most part. I agree Chico, I'd love to be a team built like Dallas or Chicago, run the ball first and set up the pass. Play good D and win games. The Rams could very well win the SB still but the last 2 weeks are concerning if you are a Rams fan.

He has "upside" which in all reality he doesn't, the guy had 1 great college game against a horrible defense, he's slow and has bad vision.

Word. He’s a guy who can play the CT role.

My feeling is we aren’t gonna find the QB who will magically change anything next year...but we can make the choice to improve the running game.

Re: Week 15 around the NFL

I think it's pretty safe to say the plan before Guice went down was to pound the rock this year. LG better be high our offseason priority list.

skinsfaninok 12-17-2018 08:47 AM

Re: Week 15 around the NFL

The QB situation is a mess until we find out if AS can play or not, there will be guys out there especially a Nick Foles who continues to prove his worth, but we won't be able to pay him if Alex is still around. LG is as high a priority right now as QB and WR.

Re: Week 15 around the NFL

I don't think our QB situation is going to get much better than Colt and Johnson, and draft someone early on.

Re: Week 15 around the NFL

Is it possible to use 2 QB’s in a way that keeps the D off balance.. say colt and JJ are who we have next year.. they both are vets who don’t need a ton of snaps so work both into game plan use JJ as a change up guy who can run and frustrate the D ... just a thought as a stop gap until we get a franchise QB.. but I see a great value in a mobile atheletic QB..

I'd imagine if they draft a guy in the 1st round he would most likely be the day 1 starter unless J.J just goes crazy the next 2 weeks and leads us in the playoffs.

Well everybody points out grudens lack of adjustments at halftime.. if you trot out JJ in 3rd quarter that would be a different look...😃

The Viking are a half game up, the Redskins need to win out and have the Vikings lose to either Detroit or Chicago.

Yep, which the Viks could lose wither one of those games, division games are never a given. So still a ton of football left. 1 Game at a time. I don't think we will make it but crazier stuff has happened.

Both Dallas and the Giants came up big with 0 points scored.

LA losing yesterday was good for the Skins. If Chicago can be forced to play their starters in week 17 against Minnesota that is huge.

Also Seattle is not a lock to make the playoffs either, they play KC (I'm calling that a Loss) and then AZ who is a division opponent with nothing to lose.

Cam Newton or Josh Johnson? Josh Johnson!! Cam Newton sucks donkey balls, most overrated, arrogant QB. If I was his teammates, I would kick his ass.

Alternatively, they could just suck and be one of the worst teams in the NFL.

Slow down SF, Lets not call J.J the next Cam newton now lol, Cam is too cocky and he's a bad passer. Dude has been lucky that he is so big and athletic, but he is playing hurt right now.

Yeah, that's test #7 for him in 10 weeks lol.

Normally I'm not one for conspiracy theories, but it sure seems like the NFL is trying their hardest to get him.

Goes back to saying "The league isn't biased to certain teams" Yeah they are and it shows with the refs calls in crucial moments as it is pretty damn obvious the NFL wants to get Reid out of the league.

I’m not calling Johnson the next CN, Cam just plain sucks and if he was hurt he shouldn’t have been playing.

Almost as good as when idiot Witten was gushing over Cam last night and said one of his biggest strengths is yards after the catch? What the what?
