Thanks for the link. Hoffman basically says the Skins have no plan, try to split hairs, and do things on the fly. Sad.
Andy Reid twice have suckered Bruce and Dan into taking past prime QB in extremely knee jerk trades. Not once, but twice. And both times didnt consult coaches and both weren't scheme fits for the particular offenses. On the fly franchise setting-back decisions... Dan has never changed, he's never learned a fuckin thing in this business |
Re: Why moving on from Bruce Allen this year is pivotal to the future of the franchise.
We are at an all time low folks, this could be the worst season in skins history

They should just put a concrete sarcophagus over Fed Ex field and leave it as a monument to Snyder Redskins Chernobyl-like disgrace of a franchise. I swear, I cant believe after 20 year this piece of shit has destroyed my team.
the next hurricane that forms, I want to put Snyder on his yacht and sail that bitch right into it. |

Already our new GM and HC search is compromised.
This is true. The next HC is going to have to publicly commit into making Haskins a franchise qb. If I'm Dan Snyder here's my plan: 1. fire Bruce Allen, and probably Doug Williams by extension. Interview for GM/Team President. Open it to everybody willing to work for Dan. Your Team President will be Dan's handler for football ops, and most likely final power for making major football decisions. The GM should be hands-off when it comes to building the coaching staff, GM hires the HC and the HC hires the entire coaching staff. Team President/GM/HC all in one - not preferred Team President/GM -> HC Team President -> GM -> HC Kyle Smith deserves an interview for GM, but obviously he's too young to be Team Prez and GM. Same thing with O'Connell for HC, even though I'm not sold on him after the underwhelming start to the season. It's easy to lay the blame on Gruden for how we're playing but O'Connell surely has some responsibility for it too. |

I mean how many times do we have to see it, and the more time goes by, and the more we showcase our ineptitude the less of a chance a ringer arrives in Washington. He has our fandom by the nuts in a vulcan death grip, and we are powerless. He literally has ruined what used to be a really fun part of my life. |
Re: Why moving on from Bruce Allen this year is pivotal to the future of the franchise.
Let's say Dan fires Allen. He's just going to bring in a another lackey. He needs to hire people who he can be his buddies. He should go hire Nick Caserio off the Pats and give him total control of the operation. It's somebody who's been around the best, understand what it takes to win and it's someone who isn't familiar w/ the Redskins. He has no connections to our past like Doug or Bruce. Then let him hire the next head coach and figure out what to do with the roster.
I can't understand how Snyder was so successful before the Redskins. To do what he did you have to give the man credit. He's obviously not a dummy, but he has been a dummy being the majority owner of the Skins. |

Re: Why moving on from Bruce Allen this year is pivotal to the future of the franchise.
Here is a recent Al Galdi twitter post:
Theory for why #BruceAllen survives & is still running #Redskins: existence of arrangement to become (gulp) a minority owner in #Skins off stadium deal. Personal $$ + revenue tied to new stadium for part ownership. Incentivizes him getting best possible deal. Would explain a lot. |
Re: Why moving on from Bruce Allen this year is pivotal to the future of the franchise.
Minority owner... FFS

Re: Why moving on from Bruce Allen this year is pivotal to the future of the franchise.
While general manager, Allen attempted to bridge the connection between the modern Redskins and the glory years of past, include hosting golf tournaments with former players and coaches, to bringing back the gold pants that his father's team had used during the 1970s.[9] On May 26, 2014, Allen was officially given the title of "President" by owner Daniel Snyder.[10] Allen had previously used the title some days before in a letter to US Senator Harry Reid regarding the Redskins name controversy.[11] Allen abdicated his title of general manager after the Redskins hired Scot McCloughan to be their general manager on January 7, 2015.[12] In 2019 Redskins' fans have become vocal in their extreme displeasure with Allen and have begun a campaign called "#FireBruceAllen" due to his and the ownership's incompetence. As of the 0-5 start to the 2019 campaign and in light of the 0.429 winning percentage over his tenure, the fans continue to clamor for the dismissal of Bruce Allen.

Probably the dumbest quote that any of us make on here is "Snyder wants to win" Of course he'd like to win, as long as winning goes hand in hand with selling out the stadium and moving merchandise. If Snyder truly cared about winning, Bruce would be long gone. |

Grant Paulsen tweeted that he's heard the same thing for years and nothing has came of it. He also said that he feels that on a 2-9 team, everyone is being evaluated. Until he is re-assigned or fired, it is essentially a non-story. https://twitter.com/granthpaulsen/status/1200826449713934336?ref_src=twsrc%5Egoogle%7Ctwcamp%5Eserp%7Ctwgr%5Etweet |

It’s a no brainer for Snyder, he knows the fans hate Allen, attendance and ticket sales are down in the toilet. Snyder knows he needs to do something, he has too.
