Aaron Rodgers has told the Packers he does not want to return.

Per Schefty:

"Reigning MVP Aaron Rodgers is so disgruntled with the Green Bay Packers that he has told some within the organization that he does not want to return to the team, league and team sources told ESPN on Thursday."
He's 33 and trying to make a position switch? I'd take the bet against him if I were betting. If his name was Joe Smith he'd be lucky to get a workout with a team.
Urban Meyer is his best chance.

Look how well Logan Thomas worked out...similar size, skillset and results as QB.

Heck bring him here for a look. Our system might just be good for former QBs turned TE. :D

Thomas made the switch to TE in 2016. He wasn't an overnight success.

Tebow is doing what he should have done after his first year in the league.
This is a bad look for the 49ers...I mean, a Vinny bad look. You don’t go all the way to 3 only then to pivot. This is an org not working together
Look at it this way, maybe moving to 3 was a leverage move to get the packers to think, “hey, we could get a top QB plus...”. Certainly a stronger offer than offering to trade their original lower pick.
If you were to ask me one bold prediction, almost certain to be wrong, it is that SF takes Lance at #3. My subjective opinion is that he has the most long-term upside of the three QBs likely remaining at that point, owing to his ridiculous arm strength and deep ball accuracy. He will need time to learn the game mentally and is a massive project, but. . . I still think predicting individual picks is a waste of time, however.
I thought that this prediction had a pretty good shot of being correct. The BIG UNKNOWN was what RR and Del Rio, who are LB gurus, thought of Parsons, JOK, etc. Obviously they thought Davis had the most upside for LB.

He actually reminds me a lot of Brian Orakpo with better hands watching him play. Maybe even Ray Lewis. He's everywhere, even blocks kicks!

OT ,TE/WR , CB/S
Tonight we go heavy offense. Our D can be great but we need to score points too. Only D I will accept is DB.

Re: Draft Week Baby!! - Thread 3.0

Per Keim:

Looking ahead: With three picks today, Washington can add more immediate help. Left tackle, corner and safety are possibilities. They'd also like to find a tight end and running back. Trevon Moehrig is their top-rated safety; Andre Cisco is another they like; corner Tyson Campbell is intriguing. They want their QB of the future: Davis Mills and Kyle Trask are available -- but there's a good chance they don't take one and resume the quest next offseason, a patient approach.

Interesting that RB makes an appearance in Keim’s post. I think RB is a need with everyone not named Gibson in the final year of their deals

Cisco would be a nice grab at FS in the 3rd

OL, S, TE, and WR would be on my shopping list.

Absolutely. He could have 2 good years left in him.

There is some sense in picking a quarterback in rounds 3 or 4 every other year, the value if you hit on one of them is huge, if he fails then its not a huge loss. Doing what SF did is a huge gamble and a major problem if the player doesn't work out. See RG3

whether he's a true 1 or not, I think he's going to have a really productive career

I think he will excel in the PR game for sure, and overall become a slot

I think he can be an exciting player when he is healthy but I expect him to be injured a lot. He's just too thin to hold up physically in the NFL.

In 2 years Smith will fill out and probably be pushing 175-180. Best route runner in the draft and it's not close.

Philly's track record of drafting WR is not good

I think Smith is going to be an absolute stud. Injuries can derail any career, and yes he is on the lighter side but he is an absolute gem of a route runner like Matty said and has great hands. He is going to be a handful. We probably need to address our db’s tonight but I want the best LT available with our first pick.

It isn’t but that is more bad luck than anything and has nothing to do with Smith.

Which is Tyreke Hill's size.

I am not happy he's in Philly. With Smith there and Toney AND Golladay in NJ, we may want to consider taking the best DB available.

Well so what to do in the 2d? We should try to move up and grab either Moehrig or Jenkins our 2d and a 3rd should be able to get us there.

I say we worry about our offense instead of other teams. We need a tackle bad. Would love to land a tackle and a db that can both start day one.

Re: Draft Week Baby!! - Thread 3.0

NFL Rd2 mock has us taking Marshall. Holland and Cosmi going at 53 and 54. I'd consider that LT is a bigger need than another WR at this point, and if not, an upgrade a S will help round out the D; we can then draft O the rest of the way if needs be.

And I agree with trading up for Moehrig if he's still on the board and the price is right. But they're projecting the Falcons taking him as they need a S, so if we can't do a deal with the Jags or Jets I agree he'll be gone.
