Re: Around the NFL Week 2
Got to watch the Chargers-Cowboys and Chiefs-Ravens
Those were some fun games GB v Lions tonight ... meh |
Re: Around the NFL Week 2
Chargers beat themselves, with some help from the refs. 2 turnovers, 1/4 in the red zone, 12 penalties, two TDs taken off the board. Not the same team we saw in week 1.
So far, Dallas is the same team they were last year before Dak got hurt. |
Re: Around the NFL Week 2
Cowboys winning was fun for you?
|
Re: Around the NFL Week 2
Raiders with 2 big wins to start the season and Carr has been the reason.
Their defense too has been good. They handled 2 running attack centered offenses.
The Steelers' offense is more passing oriented. |
Re: Around the NFL Week 2
Yeah people get cranky about his playing style or that he's not a great pocket passer, but he just wins. Gotta pay him.
He has any major lower body/leg injury he is toast. He is not going be in his mid 30s either playing this way. I sign him because there are so few options out there QB wise but the Ravens got know this guy isn't going to last as long as say a Aaron Rogers. |

I think I cheered and yelled harder for the Chargers then I do the Skins tbh Kept the game on for dinner when we always turn it off and do sit down dinner Norman Rockwell style I dont have the nfl pass so I am subject to what ever game is playing on broadcast in my region. Happy I got the 4 pm matchup I was hoping for. |

Yeah, you are right. I think the Steelers want to be more run oriented team but can’t cause the oline is bad. Still, going into Pittsburgh and getting the dub against that defense is a big win |
Re: Around the NFL Week 2
I could care less if Dallas wins against a AFC Team.. Good for them.. Doesn't hurt us any

Re: Around the NFL Week 2
I know I'm being picky and this won't matter after this week, but even though we have the same record as the Iggles and Cowpukes, wouldn't our division record of 1-0 put is in first place? Like, if the season ended today (I know that line sucks), we would be division champs, correct? I keep seeing NBC Washington putting up that we are in a 3-way tie for first.

Correct. But I think the standings simply use alphabetical order if teams have the same record. |

So NFL.com has Washington first, then the Cowpukes and Iggles; ESPN has us first, then the Iggles and Cowpukes. Again, irrelevant in a few days, but thanks for the validation :) |

Re: Around the NFL Week 2
WFT has a division win, that breaks the tie

Eagles HC Nick Sirianni confirms DE Brandon Graham is out for season with a ruptured Achilles
|
Re: Around the NFL Week 2
Achilles tears are becoming almost as common as torn ACL's. Wouldn't wish a torn achilles on my worst enemy (I don't really have any enemies that I know of though.

Def hurts, Graham is one of the more underrated players in the league. |

Re: Around the NFL Week 2
How the hell does Joe Barry keep getting DC jobs? The guy has been an absolute train wreck everywhere he has been. I mean is he lying on his resume?
|
Re: Around the NFL Week 2

Peyton like wtf is joe barry doing? Lol
|
Re: Around the NFL Week 2
How did Joe Barry get another d coordinator job?
The packers are so fucked |
Re: Around the NFL Week 2
Well, so much for the whole "Rodgers' offseason is affecting his play" theory.
Also, if Brady ever retires, he needs to join the Peyton/Eli broadcast. I'd pay to see that. |
Re: Around the NFL Week 2
Lions will be drafting a QB. No way is Goff their future. Can not believe McVay got to a SB w/ him.

You can win games with him but he needs a strong supporting cast including coaching. Don't think he's going to find much success in Detroit. |

I absolutely love those guys but it made it slightly difficult to watch the game. I found myself looking at their reactions to everything. If that was us playing id absolutely keep it on the regular broadcast. |

Yeah it's not a replacement for a traditional broadcast, but it sure is really entertaining. |

I tried to watch it week one, but couldn't do it. They must have been better week 2, or maybe I turned it too early. |
Re: Around the NFL Week 2
During one of his touchdowns, Jones lost a necklace that contained a portion of his father's ashes. Jones' father died earlier this year at the age of 56 due to complications with COVID-19.
Despite losing the pendant, Jones had a positive attitude after the game. "He'd be happy. He'd be like: 'If you lose it anywhere, lose it in the end zone,'" Jone said in a post-game interview. -packers clips (@packers_clips) September 21, 2021 Late on Monday night, Jones' already heartwarming story came to an even warmer conclusion. Matt Schneidman, who covers the Packers for The Athletic, posted a video of Packers trainer Bryan Engel scouring the Packers' end zone late into the night, searching for the lost pendant. -Matt Schneidman (@mattschneidman) September 21, 2021 He found it, with Jones sending him his heartfelt thanks on Twitter. -Aaron Jones 3️⃣3️⃣ (@Showtyme_33) September 21, 2021 "[He] found it, so we're perfect," Jones said on Tuesday morning, speaking with "The Steve Czaban Show" on 97.3 The Game in Milwaukee. "Thank you to him. He was out there until 1:45 [a.m. CT]. It shows how much they care about us." --- Randomly ran across this .. good for Steve. He was my fav DC radio sports guy. Glad he landed on his feet and maybe upgraded. Talk Pack is better than talking Skins. |
