Re: Week 18
There was another game where he did the same exact thing, can't remember the game but it was a few weeks ago. He just kept going for it when he had 3 points and they lost the game cause of his analytics BS. No way am I keeping that guy going forward. He would be done.
I'm not saying he's a bad or good coach or should keep his job, sounds like he's not good,I was just giving him a pass on calling that timeout, very easy to second guess it after the fact but at the time I can see his reasoning for doing it.It was his defense giving up that big run that really fked him |

What a fucking joke
San Fran will be a tough matchup. Solid running attack offense with playmaker pass catchers combined with a pass pressure defensive front on defense. |

Re: Week 18
Too bad. Let’s hope the next hire is another clown. But it probably won’t be if Gettleman isn’t involved in the decision.
It’s a tough spot - their O line is bad and there’s a real question at QB and even RB. Their WRs were unhealthy all year. But they do have two high draft picks and their D is one season removed from being pretty solid. B Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Re: Week 18
Something I meant to post Monday. I know wins count more than records but I couldn't help noting the end of the Rams game. With seeding on the line and enough time to move the ball steadily down the field, AND a proven commodity with Kupp consistently moving the chains, anyone else find it puzzling that they'd try to get it all on 1 bomb? Yes Beckham was 1 on 1 and it was underthrown, but why take that chance unnecessarily when you've moved the ball pretty well all game (all season even). Kupp is all but a first down from breaking a record that will likely stand for a long time, and you seemingly make no effort to get the ball to the QB's favourite target? McVay said the loss 'doesn't mean shit', and yet they threw away 2 places in the seeding, momentum and the chance for arguably their best player to get a huge record. For all the talent in the roster and coaching staff, the Rams do seem dysfunctional to me.

That is very possible, and why not with two picks in the top 10. |

The Rams Tackles are too old and slow, Stafford will be Stafford as will Carr be too (reason didn’t want either). |

Re: Week 18
If no one to touches you before you hurt your knee in football, it's basically a guaranteed torn ACL.
Alabama had 2 guys that would have been 1st round picks as WRs and still could be, tear their ACL's. It's just crazy how ACLs tear so easily. 1 misstep, and boom, gone. |

On the other, stats suggest that the injury level has been pretty steady for the last few years, and that's likely as a result of rule changes, the CBA (reducing player exposure to risk in team activities) and better treatments available. While it's mainly from player union pressure, the NFL does seem to be adapting to the need to keep players healthy. I'd suspect with more guaranteed salaries coming in that will improve. |

The media was so dumb thinking Stafford would turn into Aaron Rodgers or something.. Honestly he's not that much better than Goff and they paid that much for him LMAO. What a disaster |

That's a joke, right? Stafford was top 10 in just about every category that matters. He made everyone else on that team better just because he was there. For example: Cooper Kupp 2020 - 124 targets, 974 yards, 3 TD 2021 - 191 targets, 1947 yards, 16 TD Van Jefferson 2020 - 31 targets, 220 yards, 1 TD 2021 - 89 targets, 802 yards, 6 TD Robert Woods also on pace to surpass 2020 stats when he went on IR. I would have gladly taken Stafford - even for the price the Rams paid (two 1sts, a 3rd, and a QB). We probably couldn't get it done because we didn't have a QB that the Lions wanted (and he didn't want to come here...lol). |
Re: Week 18
Yep, Stafford is not TB12 or AR level, but he's not far off. Goff is a JAG by comparison. Stafford has and will continue to make dumb plays, but he also gives the Rams something they haven't had since Warner. Plus, after years in the wilderness in Detroit, you don't know how capable he will be in the latter stages of the playoffs. You know what Goff was.
I agree I'd have taken Stafford if the chance was there, and it's why I'd consider Ryan; both could bridge the gap until we find our guy in the draft. And arguably both better than anyone we've had since Theismann. |
Re: Week 18
He's better than Goff but is he all those picks and $$ better? That's what I was meaning by that. We'll see in the playoffs, remember Jared Goff helped take that team to a SB.
