Don't sleep on the Bears. I have to admit, I was totally wrong on Ben Johnson. The guy can flat out coach. He was giving me Norv Turner vibes. Not the case at all.
A lot of talent on the offense. Great example of what an oline upgrade can do also. I cannot remember a season where so many teams got improved significantly in 1 offseason: Bears, Colts, Patriots, etc. Huge victory for Chicago yesterday.

Re: Around the League
I don't see anyone winning it all very easily this season. But the Rams seem to be in the right form for the late season run and the pats just keep winning. I think IF we beat the Broncos, that would put a serious dent in their SB ambitions. Bills, for me, are the one team that's really hard to gauge. They need to find that late season form or they could be on the road all playoffs, assuming they make it.
Really kinda sad be having a bad season, the nfl recent elite teams aren’t as dominant this year…Lions, KC, Ravens
Team like Dallas, Broncos, Seattle very easily could win it all.
if we could been healthy we could been a major player, lost season, annoying |
Re: Around the League
Honestly did not expect Rams to lose today. Makes the #1 seed for more intriguing and attainable. Love the NFL mid November until SB even when Commanders suck lol.

The NFL is WIDE OPEN this yr

Re: Around the League
I will laugh if the Giants beat the Pats tonight! "2025, the year nobody wanted to win!"

While that is true, I can never root for it. I always want the Giants to lose, with the possible exception being when the play Dallas and Philly once per year. |

I never said I'd root for it, just that I'd find it funny. 😁 |
Re: Around the League
JD5 and Jaxon Dart are gonna figure out the hard way, NFL players on defense are much faster than college.
Both the these guys aren’t getting out of bounds or going to the ground…they are gonna stay hurt on the sidelines |

JD5 and Terry healthy would have made a big difference, but I’m not convinced we could have kept up with such a bad defense The defense has been poorly coached and built.joe Whitt needed to be fired yesterday. Having DQ step in and make immediate strides, come on. It’s obvious. I think our secondary coach…nepo hire…needs to go too. |

JD5 was looking early like he'd learned that unless the game/season is on the line, just avoid a pointless hit. Dart looks positively suicidal, and his comments after suggest he doesn't care. he soon will when he gets a season/career ender. |

I agree but we also can't ignore the fact that JD5 has now had 4 different injuries in 1.5 years... He's also basically missed his entire "sophomore" campaign.. Dart is built thicker to take hits, his issue will be concussions |
Re: Around the League
For all his injuries, JD5 has avoided concussions. I do think thickening his frame more, without going OTT, can only be good for his career, but avoiding headshots is probably top priority. I'd say at this stage, Tua is near done, and he's only 27. Dart should avoid going the same way.

Re: Around the League
Seems like anytime I watch the Giants Dart takes some hellacious hits.

This He’s too damn good of a passer. Him and the team need to come up with a strategy which can use his feet and limit the unnecessary hits. I’ve seen him many times scramble and refuse to throw the ball away for a 1 - 2 yard gain and then take contact. One of those resulted in missing multiple games. Develop a better run game with better talent in the backfield to take the pressure off him to run. And throw the ball away rather than take contact Start there |

Odell Beckham Jr. Went On A Podcast To Complain About The Struggles Of Receiving A $100 Million Contract And How "Money Doesn't Last Forever" Yeah nobody saw this coming from Odell. What an idiot |
Re: Around the League
I get where he's coming from (you give into the expectation people have based on your income alone), and I sympathise with those that don't know how to manage money and not give into a lifestyle or get manipulated into blowing it. But don't open your mouth like that, it makes you sound like an idiot. Be humble, understand your mistakes and try to help others not do the same.
And there are plenty that don't succumb to the pressure and stay grounded, i.e. Look at Alfred Morris and his Mazda. Or know/learn how to invest and make their money last and grow, like Tom Brady. Telling people it's hard to live off a $100M contract is just dumb. |
Re: Around the League
It's not like real estate is a bad investment.. cars are the worst investments and that is the first thing some athletes buy ! buy a nice home and buy your mom a nice home .. solid investment, get one or two nice vehicles.. invest most of money in secure investments and a person could be set .. at least most of us could

Re: Around the League
Blowing through that kind of money is just ridiculous
That’s generational wealth down the drain Dumb |
Re: Around the League
He made around 100 million, so that's really 45-50 million after taxes and agent. Also he had a ton of endorsement contracts. He easily made another 30 million there. He could have just lived off that and put the football money in the bank. I don't get it.

Re: Around the League
The thing too, his social media accounts are filled with him blowing money.
It’s a timeline. People asks how this happened? He simply cared about money and a lifestyle more than anything else in his life. What a fool |
Re: Around the League
Go Lions. Fuck You Dallas.

lol! I would love to see Rivers play well. |
Re: Around the League
It would be interesting if he can play well, even get them into the playoffs. And I guess, he's had a couple of years of rest. Just wonder if his arm strength is still there.

Re: Around the League
Colts-Steelers in the playoffs -- the AARP Bowl.
Holy cow -- just read this: Fun Fact learned in production meetings: Philip Rivers ran the same offense as the Colts for his son Gunnar’s HS team this season. He and Shane Steichen spoke weekly about it, discussing plays and even film. So familiarity with the scheme should be no problem whatsoever. — JJ Watt (@JJWatt) December 9, 2025 |

Dallas loses. Bwahahahahahahaha! Great move Jerry. Get rid of your best defensive player and your D is historically bad.

Well I guess his arm strength isn't there any more. But his leadership ability appears to be. |
Re: Around the League
That Rams/Hawks game last night was the best game I have seen in a couple of years. Having no dog in the fight I just sat back and enjoyed. The 2 pt conversion, given the point in the game and the importance of said game, was one of the craziest plays I can remember ever seeing.

WTF happened to the Lions , team fell apart

Re: Around the League
You guys are mad/upset about our season. No excuse at all for the year Detroit is having. They about to get knocked out of playoff contention with ALL that talent on offense. Detroit's defense is legit too.

The flip side of that is SF. They’ve had injuries all year and just find a way to win. |
Re: Around the League
Difference for SF this year vs last is a healthy CMC
And Purdy is balling out |
