And mredskins!

Re: 2026 NFL Free Agency Thread

Wow this is fast, so top RB, WR, TE already gone in first hour. Good thing we extended Tunsil. Top center seems unlikely per reports too

Well I was being sarcastic, the great Adam Peters has still not done poop

We do have all those draft picks to use this year , oh wait

Knocking out of the park Adam Peters , round of applause

skinsnut 03-09-2026 01:06 PM

Re: 2026 NFL Free Agency Thread

I am guessing edge, cb, lb are FA focus. Yeah center, RB, WR, TE are important too but not top $, in fairness that is reasonable. Not sure I would have wanted to dish out that much cash to wr and RB. LT plays EVERY DOWN, and they LAST. So he got that one right for sure.

skinsnut 03-09-2026 01:09 PM

Re: 2026 NFL Free Agency Thread

I do think he screwed up center with an unforced error. And the CB draft pick loss is on him too, frankly Lattimore isn't that bad, and he didn't HAVE to move on, but now we have two more started to fill without draft picks to replace them, so then you have to be VERY aggressive in FA instead. We shall see!

calia 03-09-2026 01:10 PM

Re: 2026 NFL Free Agency Thread

Dang -- Likely to the Giants. I was hoping we'd grab him and don't love that he's coming to our division. Harbaugh will make good use of him, I imagine. Also, Jaylen Watson to the Rams -- they are going all in for next season, for sure, and didn't like how their secondary got carved up by Seattle. They could be scary next season if Stafford stays playing at a high level.

Deals unfolding very, very fast.

skinsnut 03-09-2026 01:18 PM

Re: 2026 NFL Free Agency Thread

Wow 17 mil per year, yeah, Lattimore wasn't so bad, and considering our center got picked up and paid a bit more in a few days, those two we may regret, although we shall see who gets Lattimore. We need a pass rusher today, obviously. The others aren't as pressing now that the top dogs went poof

skinsnut 03-09-2026 01:20 PM

Re: 2026 NFL Free Agency Thread

I could see us prioritizing a TE today too, maybe a wr like doubs would be nice. No need to rush rest

GridIron26 03-09-2026 01:22 PM

Re: 2026 NFL Free Agency Thread

At this moment, the only logical explanation for center is we will have Allegretti take over the spot..

Rashan Gary to Dallas. Weird connections between those teams.

He looks like a short slot corner, I think linder berg Center is going to raiders 27m a year, for a CENTER, sheesh

Jaelen Phillips agreed a deal with the Panthers. So another anticipated Washington target who won't be coming.

Sure there is some big money on the table but its FA and the top guys expect to get paid. You're either on board or you're getting left behind.

Guys guys , deep breaths let’s remember last year when Adam was able to pull off that over pay for Winslow

Keep the faith

Fans got used to Danny's spending splash over the years. Overpaying for talent that never amounted to their worth on the field. This is what it looks like when real GMs decide the talent and whether it's worth the contract.

Mike Evans to 49ers. Linderbaum to Raiders for 81M 3yrs. Ouch.

Re: 2026 NFL Free Agency Thread

We aren’t an attractive destination. You have a head coach who’s realistically on the hot seat. He’s going with first time coordinators.

That could be scaring potential free agents from wanting to sign here. At least the top tier.

calia 03-09-2026 03:14 PM

Re: 2026 NFL Free Agency Thread

That Linderbaum contract is insane -- 50% more than any other interior lineman, ever. Really dumb. Happy that we're not the team identified as making massive overpays (at least, not yet).

Yep, it seems we offered insane money for the top WR in Indy, 2m more, yet he says in Indy, yeah his brother is close, but that doesn't scream oh goody I get to play with Jayden Daniels and live in a disfunctional politically charged city for the next several years.
Not saying DC is a disincentive, but don't forget, we're currently at war too.
It's kinda a bad time to be selling move to Washington in general.

Of course if you live in a football only bubble, yeah it's the teams fault.
It may only be 5% of a factor, but it MIGHT be a factor at this particular moment.
NFL players are people just like us, with families and human concerns just like us if we were asked to move to a new city. It's not an easy thing to do.

But back to raw football what is going on? Wheres this aggressive free agency? Why no fruit with day one difference makers?
The one with the real answer is Alec Pierce.

Where did you get that from? I haven't seen any news regarding that offer. I find it hard to believe that AP would be willing to sign 2nd tier WR to a big contract that is normally reserved for 1st tier WR.

It's the Raiders. They have to pay well above premium to draw any talent.
