Well if the players give up in the fourth quarter, then let the coaching staff give up too.
I don't want the team to go to the playoffs, they don't deserve to. It would be one game and done.

No, lets get a look at #17.
Even if it is one and done, it would still be huge for this team to make the playoffs and build on that for next year.

Or have players make a huge pay day (like Pierce and Smoot did last season) then leave the team looking at a rebuild.

one more loss and its pretty much over barring a leaguewide collapse the likes of which we've never seen...

It's not sewn up just yet, when I think about the upcoming game I have that same nervous feeling in the pit of my stomach that I had going in to the Cowboys game.

Maybe that's a good thing though, whenever I feel really confident about a game they tend to tank. Like the first Giants game. :vomit:
Everyone should have known the start was a fluke. Gibbs sucks. Portis had 2 TO's. Brunell averaged 4.8 yds per pass attempt. Most likely the Cowboys will win the division with he Giants getting the wild card or vice versa. Our organization is a freaking joke. Are we built for the future? No. Snyder is freaking clueless. Until he dies, it will be the same thing over and over.........
Wow, this was a fun thread to go back on and see what everyone's thoughts were.

But I just wonder where is this guy now?? So funny....

I thought the exact same thing . . .

Re: Playoff Hopes Dead?

Let's be honest though, things were pretty bleak with that 3-game slide. I don't think anyone could have envisioned the way this team turned on a dime the way they did. Those wins over the Rams and Cards served as confidence boosters. They reached the absolute peak with the victories over the Cowboys and Giants.

After that, with the slightly less impressive win over the Eagles in the season finale, the loss of Randy Thomas really started to show. Ray Brown was serviceable for a game or so, but it was a bit much to ask him to carry out the rest of the season and into the playoffs without missing a beat.

That's why I think one of the keys this offseason is to add quality depth to the O-line. I love the idea of stealing Steve Hutchinson away from Seattle, and putting Dockery in the reserve role. But I doubt that will be possible if we're also trying to get a top-notch wideout opposite Moss.
