The Panther just announced Fox will be back. |

enough is enough..[/quote] ~~~~~~ I could not agree more. Until the culture changes this organization will continue to languish in mediocrity at best. |

~~~~ The Panthers have turned it around the last part of the season and the win yesterday in The Meadowlands definitely showed that Fox deserves another year in Carolina. |
Same goes for DelRio in Jax. They do just enough to survive. |
Re: Report: Shanahan to DC done deal
I like Del Rio, but he needs to get the boot from Jacksonville. They have too much talent for them to be always around .500. Norv eventually got the boot for the same stuff.
Jacksonville is nothing but an average football team. Del Rio is doing a pretty good job down there. |
How long should you wait until you give Zorn the ax? Day of? next day? next week? what?
I don't know....I just don't see anything special about Del Rio. It's one thing if he was in his 2nd or 3rd year but he's been there 7 and has only had 2 chances in the playoffs and lost to the Patriots both times. His seasons: 2003: 5-11 2004: 9-7 2005: 12-4 2006: 8-8 2007: 11-5 2008: 5-11 2009: 7-8 season still in progress. One would think by now he would have been able to have a better team by now or better talent. The team just seems like it's treading water to me. Hey Jacksonville, welcome to the Skins of the 90's. Feel our pain. :) |
Re: Report: Shanahan to DC done deal
Zorn fired the day of, Dan has been waiting all season for this moment, and I don't think he can wait even 1 day.
Good question. I kinda figured the next day in the morning like Vinny's was announced. Then within an hour Shanahan announced. But now that you mention it .... if the contract is already signed like some are saying I could see Zorn fired right after the game sometime and Redskins1 in route to pick up Shanahan to fly him in (if he's not already flown in early) for the next morning. I would figure that in Shanahan's contract it says something about him being the HC on Jan 4, 2010. |
I was thinking the same when it comes to Zorn, fired by lunchtime if not sooner. Shanahan though may take a couple of days, maybe a Wednesday press conference. Even though it's a done deal, Snyder will want to let the news cycle of the coaches fired throughout the league on Monday & Tuesday die down so he can own the headlines. |
I don't know. But I will wager that somewhere in Vegas there is a line on the date and time of Zorns firing. |
Re: Report: Shanahan to DC done deal
Zorn will get the axe pretty quickly. Everyone knows it's coming I don't see why there would be a delay in the inevitable. And with the Rooney rule already satisfied Shanahan will be announced as the HC pretty quick too.
Re: Report: Shanahan to DC done deal
Just wondering what people think about Snyder interviewing Gray while the season is going on. Just totally making a joke of the rule. I mean Shanahan has got to see this stuff and has to know what he's walking into. I'm still shocked that someone with his credentials is going to come here. And I'm shocked that Gray would sell out like he did.
