Re: The Good News Thread
I just bought an original picasso sketch. He did a bazillion sketches a day and some of his original quick sketches you can get for as low as $500. It came with a COA and bought from a reputable dealer but unless it is certified by Picasso's daughter, Ill never truly know if it is in fact real.
He would do hundreds of the same sketches. Mine is almost like this (^^ this is a print not original), he kinda smugged the lips a bit and the horns are sloppier and mine he put a border type thing on it. -------------------- Sotheby's is currently doing an auction. https://www.sothebys.com/en/buy/auction/2020/picasso-master-of-form-a-collectors-legacy/pablo-picasso-picador-a-r-176 ^^ you could probably get this original ceramic bowl for about 1k us dollars. |

My wife is an artist im gonna ask her what she knows about his sketches and their authenticity. Either way if ya goy the coa than its an awesome conversation piece! |

When it comes to art my taste is simple , the very traditional Americans in Norman Rockwell (an Illustrator he called himself) and Grandma Moses. Yeah it's not the level of Picasso but it's what I like. Good for you ! |
Re: The Good News Thread
My grandpa was a painter. Not as a full time job, but he was really good. Which is weird, because no one else on either side of my family, including myself, has 1 ounce of artistic ability in our bodies.

On this day 72 years ago ... Auschwitz was liberated.
My brain treats the Holocaust like it was ancient egytian times or some far off historical era ... it was just 72 years ago. |

I also took a class in college on the Holocaust. Shit changes your perspective on life for sure. |
Re: The Good News Thread
Holocaust, the falling man from 9/11, Kayla Mueller ... theres probably a child kidnapped and being held within 60 miles of where I sit right now while im sipping my tea.
The duality of man. The evil that lurks in the heart of men. Whatever cliche works here. Hug your kids, go down on your wife, take your dog for an extra long walk, get that milkshake with your cheeseburger. We have a duty to enjoy every minute of life. We owe it to all the people that didnt get the choice to grow old, fat and lazy. Go for a long walk then go for a long nap. Burn both ends of the wick. YOLO is the secret to life imo. |

Had to throw it away. She is amazing and finding weaknesses and destroying things. She could survive in the wild. Grilling steak and chicken tonight. Will probably play some chess (my lady friend loves chess now, even tho she never wins). |

Normally, I'd agree with this idea. But this story with her is unexplainable online. And it's not a significant story unless you're me or her. So I'll handle the grilling, while drinking some brews, then win at chess. |
