Re: What Shows Are You Watching?
I've been going through a documentaries on Ancient Rome phase so I decided to watch the HBO show Rome on Amazon Prime Instant. I loved it the first time when I saw it back in 2007, but now that I have a better understanding of the historical figures and even little stuff like the battle tactics used by the military the show is even more interesting.
Closest experience I can liken it to is watching the Sopranos again while being able to keep up with the names and roles of all the side characters (still impossible even after all these years).
Rome is great, show ended way too quick unfortunately |
Re: What Shows Are You Watching?
I finally caught up with homeland this season. Great season.
I also recently find that I cant get enough of Shark Tank. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I actually missed the finale last night, but I got to say it was one of my all time favorite shows. I was already a big Daily show fan, but when this debut I was instantly hooked. Colbert had already been one of the all time great correspondents of the Daily Show (this week in God, hilarious), so when he appeared in a late night spot doing a character i knew it was gonna be classic. So long Report. |

Re: What Shows Are You Watching?

Very surprised, but what a run. Cant believe I was in college when his run started and continued to watch when I could. Probably the most honest show on TV. And without Stewart we would never have gotten Stephen Colbert or Steve Carell, both who were fall down laughing hysterical "correspondents"on the Daily Show. |
Re: What Shows Are You Watching?
I think hbo documentary "The Jinx" of the robert durst story may be the best I've ever seen. That's a bold statement but the 6 episode documentary is a must see, watch it in order.

Anyone else a fan of Sirens? I loved Scrubs back in the day and it's got that same sense of humor to it so I've been loving it.

Re: What Shows Are You Watching?
I know its not a show per say but the Justin Bieber roast was hysterical.
As great as that was, David Lee Roth and Van Halen were thee absolute worst thing I have ever seen in my life on Jimmy Kimmel. |

Tom Cruise has always seemed extremely strange, now i understand
i always admire self-made people. the guy had a charismatic and polarizing personality. the guy who took over, mccavich or whatever his name is, he seemed like a salesman but L Ron Hubbard .... that dude just seemed different. he certainly had psychological problems - habitual liar, grandiose self beliefs, neurosis, paranora. scientology seems like manipulated psycho analysis. after a well crafted therapy session, most people would feel a sense of euphoria or clarity. scientology just seems like a well designed money making scheme to provide people with psychiatrist sessions. like pre-determined meditation. somehow this guy with grandiose hallucinations was able to convince generations of people to believe in his fairy tale. people want to belong to something. people want to believe that there is something more to this life than spending it sitting in a car alone on a highway surrounded by other people sitting 5 feet away who are also alone in their own little box of plastic and rubber. people like L Ron Hubbard interest me. they are the nail that chooses to stand up while the rest of us take our daily beatings from society without us even recognizing the beating we take. it all comes down to YOLO! have that food fight at your next thanksgiving. get drunk on a tuesday. sit down next to a homeless person. go visit your parents or grandparents grave. get lost in the woods. make a fake "missing" poster of your remote control. whatever you do, own it, love it .. bc this is our one chance at life. we dont get another 3/31/2015. sadly i will spend my 3/31/15 evening drinking a beer, eating a slice of pizza and perhaps playing a game of madden. |
Re: What Shows Are You Watching?

I almost felt the writing in BCS's first season was much tighter than BB's first season... probably b/c the staff is already seasoned. What a great show. Found out about Banshee on Cinemax. New addiction... super pulpy. |
Re: What Shows Are You Watching?
I thought the first season of Saul was pretty damn stellar. It definitely exceeded my expectations.

Re: What Shows Are You Watching?
Netflix keeps pumping out some great shows. Loved Marco Polo and even though I'm not the biggest fan of the character, Daredevil is absolutely badass!! It has some GoTs type moments so it's not for the squeamish, but Marvel continues its success and I can't wait to see what they do with the other shows they are working on in conjunction with Netflix.
|
Re: What Shows Are You Watching?
Game on tonight. Can't wait
|
Re: What Shows Are You Watching?
As of last season, I am a GoT convert.

that Ragnar is a sneaky bastard!
He's always two moves ahead of everyone. I can't wait to see how it plays out next season now that he knows what Floki and Rollo really think of him, and of course what Floki did to Athelstan. |
Re: What Shows Are You Watching?
They have done a....great job with his character. Always keeps me guessing. It will indeed be interesting to see next season how he reacts with the info gleaned from the Floki/Rollo coffin scenes.
WTF....you knew he couldn't trust that Rollo...Sob. But Floki....not that butterfly thing Good Stuff |

Dude I couldn't agree more. Poor casting...Vince Vaughn as a gangster? Effing someone should be fired for that ish. Story got way too cute. The brink was effing bad too and ballers was nutless. Ballers should have been good, but was terribly dumb with predictable storylines and horrible dialogue. Anybody watching mr. Robot? Wow good stuff...surprise hit |

Re: What Shows Are You Watching?
Looks like on hard knocks they tried to make the skins look like the villains. D hall got made like a biatch too.

i kinda just saw the skins as background noise on hard knocks, they weren't trying to make them villians (in my eyes). after listening to local radio i thought the whole episode would be about the brawl, but it was only on screen for like 20 seconds. ho-hum. |
Re: What Shows Are You Watching?
Mr. Robot...that is all.
|
Re: What Shows Are You Watching?
I cant stop watching tru tv. Carbanaro effect, impractical jokers, and fameless.
