much obliged, m dawg. I've been doing it for the past hour or so, up to $60,000+.

I can't wait to head to the gunsmith!

Also, I've been so several farms that had pig pens but maybe not "the" pig farm?
Which weapon is your go to?

Usually carrying the Lancaster repeater on the horse. Customized up with Express velocity bullets.

Granger revolver with express velocity on the hip. Have a solid amount of revolvers and a pistol.

Have a double barrel and short shotgun...but never use it.
I love the shotguns. Getting in real close and then mowing someone down with one shot. Just like Halo.

I haven't unlocked any cool guns yet, though, just upgraded my own.

If you do the mission with the photographer in valentine on the side saloon...finding the ex gunfighters will open up for better handguns. That’s a cool side mission too.

I don’t like to get too close...keeping distance with the Lancaster repeater with dead eye, especially dealing with various outlaw gangs, attempted mugging or police...that’s my jam

Re: New Games on the Horizon (the video game thread)

I recently made it to chapter 3, stopped doing missions, and started collecting stuff/hunting legendary animals/etc. I'm 24% done the story and 42% completion.

I got the White Arabian and named her Esmeralda, I keep my War Horse, Mr Joshua, in the stable with my American Standardbred, Captain Howdy. I'm always on the look out for a Missouri Fox Trotter.

This is the first game in a decade where I feel like I don't want to finish it because it is so good and so much fun.

Is RD2 a game I can jump in and play for maybe 30 minutes to an hour a couple of days a week or do you need to invest a lot of time?

Seems interesting but I typically have only played sports or FPS games since I can jump in and play a few rounds then turn it off.

Sure, it's an open world game so you can definitely set your own pace as far as doing main missions or side stuff.

How are you coming along Matty?

I'm just over 50% total completion and somewhere around 30% story.

Dynamite arrows are my favorite thing!

I'm trying to complete all the challenges right now, have you done the 80 ft tomahawk throw? I'm having a tough time there.

I'm a little behind you.

My current challenge is giving me trouble: disarm 3 enemies with reloading or switching. Have you completed that one?

It's one of the side challenges, I finally got it.

The next one in the (I think sharpshooter) series is to shoot the hat off of 3 people in the same dead eye. I only tried it once but I shot all 3 in the head as opposed to just the hat, oops.

Ace Combat 7 coming out tomorrow. I'm pretty sure someone gifted me the pre-order for Christmas so I should receive it tomorrow.

I'm still working my way thru RDR2, took a bunch of time off with the holidays and visits and started a new job.

Just started Far Cry New Dawn.

Still finding it hard to break away from RDR2 for long though. Thinking of starting up a new game and playing it over.

I have a hard time getting hooked on RDR2.
I'm not more than an hour into the game and I've had it for over a month.

What game mode do you recommend?

Sucks that the only baseball game is a PS4 exclusive.

I've heard from both sides of the fence, some say it's repetitive and gets old fast, others say it's a blast riding on the bike and killing humans and creatures.

I only know one friend who got it, he said he wanted to return it after 2 days.

I am late to the party on this one, but God of War for PS4 is great.

So is PS4 Spiderman, just finished that one

God of War was amazing. I liked Spider-Man but it got repetitive to me after a while, still haven't finished it. I hope the new Star Wars game coming out next month lives up to the hype.

I'm playing Just Cause 3 right now, it's mindless, doesn't require much thought or gameplanning, the storyline unchanged from previous years, but it's just good ol' fashioned arcade-style fun. Fly/grapple hook wherever you want, steal military shit, blow shit up, rinse and repeat.

Tempted to pull the trigger on a PS4 pro today, my regular PS4 seems to be crapping out, lately it's been shutting down on it's own and now today it won't start up at all. Is it worth the upgrade to the pro?

I think the question should be rephrased, is it worth it upgrading when the rumors are of the PS5 coming out next year?

Also hearing they are gonna make the announcement for GTA6 this winter, with a release date of fall next year, for the next-gen consoles.

That would make me seriously consider waiting but if you can't wait, I'd probably look at buying a used console. Just make sure whoever you buy it from starts it up and everything works because I've heard stories about buying bricked consoles where some d-bag got his console banned from online and then selling it to some unaware person.

Got a deal I couldn’t refuse, had an Amazon gift card and points on my credit card to use so I got a new pro for $200. I know the PS5 is dropping next year but I figure I’ll be able to sell the pro and get a decent return on it. Oh and of course since I bought the pro my old PS4 has been working fine. Oh well I’ll just sell it lol

This why i usually wait a year to get a new console. Honestly new consoles right when they come out have such a limited game library.

Nothing deprecates faster then video games, i always try to stay a wave or two behind and enjoy the savings.

I bought my PS4 the week of Thanksgiving when it was released, haven't had any major issues and I leave it on all the time, never turn it off. Only issue I have from time to time is the controller won't work with the system.

It will be plugged in but when I hit any of the buttons it doesn't do anything, then I have to unplug the console and restart and it works fine. Doesn't happen often, but is annoying as shit when it does.

Sure there are less titles at a launch, but they usually have a few that I play regularly, so it gets me by until the games start getting cranked out.

I have always bought both consoles (xbox and ps) when they get released and have owned every nintendo console with exception of the Wii U. Next gen, I'm only buying a PS5.

Especially since I have a pretty good gaming PC and you can get the XBox exclusives for PC now. And use an Xbox controller with the PC.
