Donny’s little invasion was basically about Donny and his cronies controlling the oil and now he plans to run Venezuela until his puppet leader takes over. This was about drugs? Right, considering he pardoned the leader of Honduras; who was convicted of drug trafficking.
I have no issue with the capture of Maduro. Long overdue and Venezuela's instability was having a direct impact on the US and the entire hemisphere with a 3rd of the population fleeing the country. That said, what is the next step? The Chavismos still control the country.

So wait, are the MAGA anti-war patriots now become the very NEOCONS they profess to hate? Seems so.

So much for the "no new wars" and "peace" President.
Hold on, I thought trump was a Russian puppet? Why would he remove a top Russian ally off the board?

Seems strange. What do you think cratering oil price does for the Russian economy and its war funding? Hmmmm, gonna need the big brains to think about that cause and effect

From today:

Rubio talking about Cuba: "Yeah, look, if I lived in Havana and I worked in the government, I'd be concerned."

Let's let Fiona Hill (Trump’s former advisor) tell you why.

Putin offered up Venezuela for Ukraine. Kinda all makes sense now.

Also this...

Trump already told the oil companies he would deliver their wishlist if they donated.

Lol, never change! This a severe blow to Russia, they just signed a security pact in October and Russia has spent billions in Venezuela. This supposed offer worked so well that Trump instead supplied Ukraine with weapons (Obama refused too) and moved missiles into Poland. Well Putin did invade Ukraine, only after Biden took office.

They've invested like 9 billion since like 2010. That is fucking chump change man. They haven't lost shit....lol Take special note of this...
The Petromonagas project – where Rosneft had planned to increase output - has also been falling short of hopes, internal PDVSA documents show. As of last July, it was pumping less oil per day than it had in 2015.
Some fact checking on that Obama/Trump weapons claim. Obama did send aid and equipment, just said no to lethal weapons. Pretty sure at the time, their country was going through a revolution where they ousted the Putin loyal President. You conveniently leave out context.

Non lethal aid…that’s not a legit talking point to somehow convince me Obama was tough on Putin. He wasn’t, he was weak on Putin.

Russia and Iran put a lot of money in Venezuela, and were producing weapons

Russia is using Iran made drones made in Venezuela being used against Ukraine.

Russia also has oil companies in Venezuela which funded the war

I don’t know man, maybe Biden should not have loosened sanctions on Venezuela? Was that a good move?

I'll agree with this. Obama was weak on Putin.

Only Roznet was in Venezuela. Also, the entire infrastructure remains (minus madura) so they didn't really change shit.

Biden did that to free some political prisoners and it was only temporary (6 months).

Murders plummeted more than 20% from the year before, the single-largest one-year drop on record — and 2025's might be the lowest murder rate in the U.S. since 1900, a new study found.

Great news! Secure our border, arrest criminals and deportations, FBI focus on crimes instead of politics all helped to reduce murders.

I hate to break it to you buddy, but murder rates and other criminals stats are predicated on local and state law enforcement. Not the federal government.

Jobs report not good..................

Were 10 of the last 11 recessions Republican?

Budget deficits relative to the size of the economy were lower on average for Democratic presidents. Ten of the eleven U.S. recessions between 1953 and 2020 began under Republican presidents.

U.S. economic performance by presidential party

Since World War II, according to many economic metrics including job creation, GDP growth, stock market returns, personal income growth, and corporate profits, the United States economy has performed significantly better on average under the administrations of Democratic presidents than Republican presidents. The U.S. unemployment rate has risen on average under Republican presidents, while it has fallen on average under Democratic presidents. Congratulations, MAGA fans!!! This is a huge victory for you all!

Because of the so called one big beautiful bill act, "The annual financial reports recently released by Amazon, Alphabet, Meta, and Tesla disclose that these corporations collectively reported $315 billion in U.S. profits for 2025, and collectively paid just 4.9 percent of that amount in federal corporate income taxes—with Tesla paying exactly zero. That amounts to a collective tax savings of $51 billion last year for these four giant multinational corporations, versus what they would have paid if they paid the full 21 percent federal corporate income tax rate."
